The correct saying is "It is better to be late than to be the late".
EducationRe: Popular Sayings That Do Not Sound Right by naturalwaves: 8:04am On Sep 28, 2014
1) Slow and steady wins the race : I think this is wrong, it should be "slow and steady completes the race". If you are slow and steady, you will definitely complete your race someday but not necessarily win it.

2) There is a Yoruba proverb that says....Aro meta kin da obe nu which mean.....Three stones ( those ones cooking pots are usually put on) cannot pour off the stew. I think this should be " Three WELL PLACED stones cannot pour off the stew" because of the stones aren't placed well, the whole pot will pour off.
EducationRe: Nigeria Best 50 Schools by naturalwaves: 9:28pm On Sep 25, 2014
@Op, I know almost all these schools particularly those ones in Lagos. Remove Barachel model college from the list ASAP.

The best secondary school in Nigeria is LOYOLA JESUIT COLLEGE, ABUJA in all ramifications.
FamilyRe: Male Teachers And Attractive Female Students by naturalwaves: 9:43am On Sep 23, 2014
ggirl4real: I love dis. I wish these can really work out on all occasions. In a situation where a female student is really out to get a male teacher at all cost, she'll do all within her powers to make sure she succeeds. I pray God should help the male teachers who have made up their minds not to compromise, to realy stand tall in d face of all the advances
Yeah, you are very correct, so many nasty experiences but once your mind is off it and you just see them as your little sisters, you will be able to cope well. A funny incident even happened recently. After talking with one of the senior girls in my office( academic based discussion), I said "okay, bye bye, regards to your parents" and continued reading the newspapers. When she was leaving(I didn't pay much attentiin), she quickly gave me a peck and ran away. Can you imagine?
FamilyRe: Male Teachers And Attractive Female Students by naturalwaves:
When you teach female students, the best thing is to avoid all forms of too much familiarity and you will be fine. There is no how you wouldn't like at least one of them too (not necessarily for dating), that's a normal thing.

Another thing I observed about female students particularly in a girls only school is always the battle of who gets the young, intelligent teacher, so, it is not uncommon to find them throwing advances at one. Some will tell you "my dad said I should collect your phone number" which is usually a big lie. The best way to tackle such is to say "give me your dad's number, I will call him". Their best bet is usually through social networks. There was a time my facebook request was almost 500. The best thing to do is never to accept the requests because even the few responsible ones I accepted (about 5 of them) will always bug you with chats and all.

If you also try solving problems for them when they are close by, they have this funny way of resting their b*obs all over you just to show you they are big girls or to make you see you haven't been looking well, so, any teaching to be done should be done on the board.

It is not uncommon also to see that female teachers so much jealous female students and that was how I knew women are generally the same thing whether girl, lady, woman, grand mum etc. They envy the attention male teachers give to the students(even if it is purely academic based).

All in all, it is a normal thing for young girls to have crush on one, nothing abnormal about it but it is one's responsibility to help them through this phase of ravaging hormones and all as they are still immature(even if they have grown so big and all) and naïve. It won't be a good thing to capitalize on that. If one wants to flirt, there are more than enough girls around aside students. So, dating a student should be a no go area no matter the attraction.

The funny thing is that once the students observe that this teacher is not the randy type despite all the advances, they tend to respect you more and they solely focus on other more important things like academics, they tend to pay more attention in your class, update their notes, do assignments promptly and all.

If you give your best to the students, they will give their best too. They cherish teachers that dedicate their time to them to help them through academics rather than the randy ones. So, I wasn't surprised when on my birthday, despite the fact that I didn't tell anyone, all the classes I went to sang "a happy birthday song" and when I got back to the office, I got like 7 big cakes from different persons and groups (imagine what it will take them to save for such) and gifts were more than 100 even some ex students came to say a happy birthday and brought gifts as well. My happiness was unquantifiable! My point is, making a positive impact is far more rewarding than falling for a mere temptation or capitalizing on individuals that do not even know what they are doing. May God help us!

safarigirl: I'm telling you now, that I've come across tall, large women who won't mind a guy like Ime Bishop...
This explains my point exactly. The statement "who won't mind" is indifference and not preference
RomanceRe: Why Nigerian Ladies Should Never Settle For Less by naturalwaves: 12:36pm On Sep 21, 2014
safarigirl: I've met ladies who like short guys, to them, tall guys are 'less'
Lies would do you no good. No lady prefer a shorter guy to herself. She may not be too crazy about a very tall dude but ladies like someone a bit taller thannthem or same height don't make it sound as if the ones you met readily prefer a short guy. Some ladies are also indifferent about height and that does not necessarily imply prererence for short guys.
RomanceRe: Why Nigerian Ladies Should Never Settle For Less by naturalwaves: 12:25pm On Sep 21, 2014
I think we shouldn't really blame safarigirl, she is just a little teenager and in her penultimate year or so in higher institution, so, she knows little or nothing about life but truth be told, her comprehension level is too poor, this is what you get when teenagers spend too much time on social media rather than educative stuffs.

Moreover, she is a tribal bigot, argues sentimentally, has a caustic tongue(or should I say caustic fingers or betterstill, caustic brain cos that's where the whole thinking comes from), she likes attention and the best ways to get such are by being ridiculously funny , hovering around the romance section with ftequent posts or being controversial. I guess it has been a while her name has been mentioned here hence the reason for this useless post that is fit only for the bins and into the bins it must go. Rubbish!

Iamzuna: What he meant was for the shot to hit the target even if the keeper catches it.
I have been giving you some benefits of doubt regarding being a sentimental Messi fan but you just confirmed it with this point of yours. Was the freekick he ballooned over the bar against Germany at the world cup accurate? Several times, I have watched Messi whine the ball totally off target, even in the match against Germany at first half, he blew a one on one chance when his shot went off (parallel) the keeper's left vertical pole. Let's be objective when we argue. Messi does not have a 100% shot accuracy except if your definition of 100 % is different from the normal one.
SportsRe: Lionel Messi V Christiano Ronaldo by naturalwaves: 8:01pm On Sep 20, 2014
Iamzuna: Yes boss. To keep Ronaldo out or mark him out does not mean he cant score goals. Now kindly unpark! ! grin

He said 100% shot accuracy. Not goals
What is a shot accuracy? What type of shot or freekick is called an accurate one? Can't wait for your answer.

Iamzuna: And all the ones Ronaldo took?
Where did I say Ronaldo has a 100%freekick and shot accuracy? That I disproved his point does not automatically mean Ronaldo has the exact converse of what is being disproved. Let me ask you a yes or no question....was what he said correct?

Yeah, particularly the last one he took against Germany at the final of the just concluded FIFA world cup. It was 100% accurate into the hands of those at the stands.

Yeah. I think I should give you an assignment. Find out who the mods are and metion their names for a front page move. That's your punishment for not winning the argument tongue
SportsRe: Lionel Messi V Christiano Ronaldo by naturalwaves: 10:45pm On Sep 19, 2014
Iamzuna: Never. For the fact that i said that Messi single handedly win matches does not mean that he will do that in all matches. No player, i repeat no play has had an effect on a game (and i mean amount of game, not every game ooooo!!!!) like the way Messi does, at least not since i started watching football. Every players have good and bad days but Messi on his bad day still makes the difference like in his last 2 matches.
Oh, so you knew players normally have on and off days and you( or was it that other dude?) were comparing last week's match in which Ronaldo scored a penalty with Messi's better performance. Hmmmmm, talk about double standards.
