sheyguy:It looks like you are also Fe, Cu and Zn-deficient. Otherwise how can somebody lacking those essential elements consider himself superior? Warped logic. |
The life of an average SWner is worth no more than a few Nairas. Don't you see how they kill each other for the flimsiest of reasons? |
1) Oando Nigeria Plc (N228.506 billion) WALE TINUBUIn fact these are all small fries. Wait until the involvement of Obasanjo and the other Heads of State are finally uncovered. |
May be some other folks, I never said Ibo cabals do not exist. In fact, I created a thread comparing the two cabals. Those threads are here for the doubting thomases. Let the self deniers continue. |

Rhino.5dm:The remaining 25% (non Igbos) are the Fe, Zn and Cu-deficient ones. Duh!!!! |
Now I know why Lagosians don't think straight. All the Fe, Zn and Cu needed for straight thinking are lacking. ![]() |

Osisanya4 1Department of Home Economics, School of Technical Education, Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria; 2University Of Ag-riculture, Abeokuta, Nigeria; 3The Federal Poly Technic, Ilaro, Nigeria; 4Yaba College of Technology, Lagos, Nigeria. E-mail: favours94@yahoo.co.uk, {baahtunde, yvonnechi2003, femongaga}@yahoo.com Received January 7th, 2011; revised October 12th, 2011; accepted October 19th, 2011. ABSTRACT This study assessed the iron, zinc and copper status of primary school-attending children in Lagos. A sample of 200 primary School-attending children was randomly selected using a stratified 2―stage sampling technique. Data was collected in the 2 major seasons in Nigeria; Dry and Rainy seasons using dietary intake (24 hr dietary recall protocol) venipuncture blood samples, and a self-administered questionnaire. The data were analyzed using descriptive and in-ferential statistics. Among ages 5 - 8 years, the main dietary intake for iron was 10.66 ± 12.44 mg/d (106% of DRI), for zinc, 7.30 ± 7.39 mg/d (92% of DRI) and for copper, 1.55 ± 1.31 mg/d (390% of DRI). For ages 9 - 13 yrs, the mean intake of micronutrients showed that iron was 11.03 ± 12.72 mg/d (138% of DRI), zinc was 8.44 ± 7.79 mg/d (105% of DRI) and copper was 3.75 ± 15.17 mg/d (536% of DRI). Biochemical results indicated that 19.8% of the subjects had inadequate serum iron, 21% and 32.1% were zinc and copper deficient respectively. Prevalence of anemia was 38.1% while iron deficiency anemia was 13.06% and iron deficiency was 34.6%. Dietary intakes did not provide right amounts of micronutrients to meet body requirements. There is the need to formulate and implement nutrition education pro-grams to correct micronutrient deficiency among primary school-attending children in Lagos, Nigeria. Rhino.5dmIgbos did not protest the fuel subsidy removal to allow people like this stop milking Nigeria dry. In contrast, Yorubas protested the removal to allow people like this to continue to milk Nigeria dry. This is just 5 Billion. Adenuga, Otedola, Wale Tinubu and Otudeko will be refunding trillions. |
This is the same man whom some cyber urchins want to make the Nigerian president. An ole confirmed by the court of public opinion? Hehehe! Fasola is finished; his still birth dream for 2015 is now door-knob dead. |
Aigbofa:Should he, the Asiwaju of Yorubaland, not be leading the protest instead of an Igbo? |
Aigbofa:Where is TINUBU sef? |
Chineke me. No, na Igbos in Lagos call Fasola ole, ole ajibole. Hehehe! I dey laugh in Amerindian. I beg where Eko ile? |
After now una go claim say Igbos no follow protest. Many of the names there na Igbos, just like 1000s of Igbos in Lagos and elsewhere follow protest the subsidy removal. Na so Igbos (for e.g., Late Chima Ubani, Ralph Obiora, Ndubuisi Kanu, Olisa Agbakoba and a host of others) follow fight for June 12 in NADECO now una dey deny their input. Na God go dey judge una. |
sbeezy8:My # 1 and 1 above had nothing to do with the war And talking about the war, it is a stage in the life of the Igbo nation that cannot be wished away. |
Igbos don't hate Yorubas, but many Yorubas hate/resent/dislike/loath (take your pick) Igbos. And such hate-filled ones have shown it in so many ways Please get for me one single comment made in real life from a notable Igbo about the Yoruba Here I will give you examples of comments made by notable Yorubas about the Igbo. Then you decide who hates who 1. ''Igbos should leave politics and face trading, what they know how best to do''---------- Adesanya's daughter when she was a minister sometime between 1999 and 2007 2. ''Igbos will be wiped out''---------- A notable Yoruba lawyer working for ACN recently (2011) made this comment. He has apologized however. This was here on nairaland. Can anyone remember? 3. ''I dealt with your ragtag Biafra army, I will deal wit you again''---------Oluwole Rotimi former ambassador to US to Ojo Maduekwe (2009), then minister of foreign affairs. 4. ''I will kill anything walking in Igbo land''-------------Adekunle during the Biafra war 5. ''Starvation is a weapon of war and we used it on the Igbos''-------------Awolowo 6. ''The Igbos wanted your oil''--------- Obasanjo a few years back in Bayelsa when he went to either campaign or as a sitting president. Now we know how many Igbos licking the oil, compared to Hausa and Yoruba. |
GeneralGEJ:Is she Ibo? I though she was from Cameroon. |
His mom appears to be sufficiently compromised. Should she not go at this point? |
Guess who owns Afren? Rilwanu Lukman, former minister of petroleum |
Flamboyant lifestyle Photos of Diezani Allison Madueke's son in the USA http://africanspotlight.com/2012/01/pictures-flamboyant-livestyle-of-allison-maduekes-son-in-the-u-s/ BTW, this is a public service post. I am not condemning or supporting anything here. Everyone is free to enjoy their lives the way they want to. But I would like to ask a few nagging questions 1. What is this guy? ( I mean who is he, excluding his parents influence?) 2. Knowing him will help explain how he is able to live a particular kind of lifestyle 3. If he is somebody, then he probably can afford the cost of how he lives. 4. If he is a nobody, how does he afford the cost of how he lives? Yeah!, His dad was the Chief of Naval Staff and also a former military Governor back in the years. So the old man could have amassed some wealth by fair and fowl means. His mother is presently a minister- for good or bad, we know what Nigerian ministers can do, no? If this guy is a nobody for himself, where is the cash he is burning coming from? From his father, mother, or from both? |
sbeezy8:Some of us protested in favor, others against. Those for will have to defend themselves. Those against likeself me did so because subsidy removal was good with me. Why do you have a problem with what is good for me? Are you an enemy of progress? |
Alj Nama: See in the link below what our own oil cabals are doing for our own poor. What do you cabals do for their own poor? https://www.nairaland.com/nigeria?topic=847509.msg9978747#msg9978747 |
I jam just imagining how poor Wale Tinubu, Otedola and Adenuga (including if IBB takes his Glo away) will become without oil from other zones. |
The fact is that since the refineries and depots went dead, giving way to fuel importation, fuel has always been more expensive in the SE and SS than elsewhere (may be except the North) ------------even b4 the subsidy removal. Most imports are from Lagos, hence fuel was cheaper in the SW. I hope the removal of subsidy and refurbishing of the refineries and the depots in in PH, Enugu and Aba will bring back the lost glory. |
Aigbofa:Relative levels and number of the poor, my friend, levels and number. |
Greedy people. They cant even pity their own? |
These guys, pls stop clutching at straw. Duh!!! There are poor people in the east too. We are not all rich. But for one poor Igbo, there are 100 poor Yoruba |
Sbeezysy the fool Read the topic. It is about loudness of the protest as opposed to the protest in itself. Of course every zone protested but differently. Some (SW/North) protested as though their lives depended on it, while the SE and SS protested like civilized gentlemen. |
Did not know yaribas are also omo odos to hausa/fulani |
