South Sudan just got its independence from The North. It is a landlocked country. But mark my words, it will develop better than Nigeria in due course.

Dont mind them, Yelling they want to split, Split just dont take anything thats not yours and go survive in your eroded villages.

This time in Igbo land the motor parks look like there is war going on look like refugee camp where everyone is trying to escape from
I thought you ngbatis also want out? Have we not read uncountable posts here about Odua nation? Or have you changed your minds again? Na waoh!!! The snake is very big indeed.

over night Ibo land will become like switzerland? I pity kids like yourselves who can hardly have a decent moment to think things thru, all African countries that are land lock are almost as good as the word poor, the ignoramus that dwell in you forgot to tell you during the civil war, the FG made the SE land lock by freeing the ND from the SE, effectively making imports difficult for the SE! I won't bother explaining to much to you since you have shown strng unwillingness to think, more so it might look like explaining Quantum Physics to to a 12 yr old!
Did Switzerland become what it is today overnight? You reason like a baboon.
Nigeria that has water access is more than 50 years old. How has it developed? Common sense is not common, after all.

^Nchara i know lots of igbos that have just paid their yearly rents in the north. Even with all these threats. Accept it. Igbos prefer a crisis ridden north to your SE and the would dread any talks of division or war. Igbos stand to lose more, no 2 ways about it.
There are still hausas/fulanis and Yorubas in the SE even as we speak. We have not divided yet, have we? What is your problem?

Let them lose. They want their own country to manage their affairs. How hard is that to grant?

Did Nzeribe serve under IBB?

Rather Nzeribe was the one who raised the motion for a free and fair election to be cancelled.

Did Daniel kanu serve under Abacha?

Rather it was Daniel kanu who started the movement Youth earnestly ask for Abacha to make the dictator transform into Life President

We see who they are

Saboteurs, Sychophants its in their genes

Talk to elders those that are old enough to enlighten you on the role Nzeribe and Daniel Kanu played in this nations history
Do you remember Abimbola Davies, the head of Association for Better Nigeria? Who did he serve under?
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Heading For Civil War – Soyinka by Nchara: 11:33pm On Jan 10, 2012
Nchara, as much as I despise boko haram, they have already asked igbos to leave the north, yet many would rather die than do so. So please stop the chest beating. Many igbos are addicted to the north and SW, and won't leave even at the point of death. I'm sure that if nigeria were to break up today, its the igbos that will have the hardest time returning to/staying in their region.
But many have left and many are more are willing to leave, but for the recent fuel hike and transportation problem they are facing. They have sent messages back home and their people are organizing for them.

Igbos are in other parts of Nigeria because for now we are one country. When we divide, how will they get to your country unless you permit them?
At that time those of them who don to like to stay away from the North and SW and elsewhere will be forced to stay home and develop their respective towns.

Or if they permit you, you live as a foreigner with a visa and abide by their rules. As simple as ABC
The only way Igbos can stop migrating elsewhere in Nigeria is if we separate. Migration is human nature and it is not a bad thing to move around. Everyone in world moves around.

Mind you, there are Yorubas all over Nigeria too, including 10s of 1000s in the SE.
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Heading For Civil War – Soyinka by Nchara: 11:26pm On Jan 10, 2012
the ibos will end up with a land lock country, I bet you guys will have to play nice with ND people to make your living a little bit convenient!
What has being landlocked got to do with being wealthy? How many countries with sea access can you compare with Switzerland and Austria, both landlocked countries?
Nigeria has access to sea, how wealthy is Nigeria?
Ignorance is a disease, really.

Confident lies  cheesy, you knew were wrong with this, but you just had to put them up . .How can the ACN governors stand be different to that of their party . .awfully wrong my bruv . .the rest of your answers were good . . .

And the Fashola injection also defies simple logic . .if Fashola supports Subsidy removal . . .then, he supports GEJ supposed anti people policies and deserves to be roped in as well . .  The people who wanted to burn Sanusi house felt the same way too . . .and if we are to take the Lagos protest genuine . .then such aligned treatment should not be far off

I would allow Nchara continue to entertain you  grin
HAHAHA!! Why are you disturbing my fun? grin grin grin grin grin grin. I was coming with some of those rebutals. I will now rephrase with other things
I want them to sufficiently expose themselves.

Was that what you really wanted that inspired you to attack SW before you were stopped at Ore and then the brave Benjamin Adekunle drove the warlord to Abidjan to seek refugee status
Why was SW attacked?

The Nigerian army (Hausa, middle belt and Yoruba) attacked Biafra first. Yes or No?
The capital of Nigeria was in the SW
How do you want Biafra to stop the attack on her by Nigeria? To keep defending and not attack back?

BTW, what came first, the declaration of Biafra (and consequent attack by Nigeria) or the counter attack by Biafra?
Can you for once be logical?

Abagworo:
Guy the only way we can have peaceful division is by having an all inclusive South. Your entirely Igbo country will not work because under the new country, we will discover our ethnic differences and the Nigera situation will start over again which will lead to demand by some for their own country.

The SS/SE/SW have all it takes to be successful. My only fear is the Middlebelt which is a volatile region like Kashmir.
Your observation applies to other groups too
Just a few e.g.s:

Ife-modakeke
Hausa-fulani
Ogoni-Okrika
Ijaw-Itsekiri

Are fighting/have fough each other

Each inter/intra group will have to sit and discuss how they will survive
The problem is that Nigerians have not really sat down to discuss cohabitation

Responses

1. ACN as a party is protesting, ACN governors are not, they need money for development.
2. The answer is actually between the North and SW
3. Not True. You do not need to be a member to vote ACN afterall PDP won presidential elections in the SW.
4. That is true, the governors need the money.
5. That is partially true, the ACN governors need the moneys to develop their states, that is in the interest of the masses protesting.
6. That is untrue, the position of ACN governors is clear, they want subsidy removal for development of their states, SW people know where the governors stand, the only reason that the protest has not been directed at Fashola and other SW governors is because there is still an element of trust, they trust the governors to do something with the money, the problem with GEJ is there is no trust.
You see, it is not too difficult to speak the truth.

My Questions

1) How come subsidy jumped from 400 billion Naira to 1.3 trillion Naira
2)How much does it cost to refine oil
3) Why are the refineries not working
4) Who should be held responsible for number 3.
5)Why can we not secure our borders.
6) Refer to question 4.
Let me answer your questions first and then pick holes, if any, in your responses to my own questions

1. I don't know why, but can you state at what point (with dates) the jump occurred? Who was in charge then?
2. I don't know, not my expertise. All past leaders and other lower-cadre responsibles should be asked that question
3. This is a good question for all past presidents and their ministers in charge of that area. I have asked that many times here, no one has been interested in answering
4. All past presidents (you cannot hold the present one responsible because he is still work in progress)
5. The boarders are insecure mainly in the North; the similarities between people of the core North and those from our neighboring countries is a problem. Corruption, not only by govt but by the masses as well. Some of those non-Nigerians living illegally are being habored by ordinary folks and now some of them are used for Boko Haram purposes.

Its the best way if split occurs. However we cant have every single group calling for his own country. For example a country called middle belt would be just like Nigeria really.

However split/federalism wont happen actually nothing will change in Naija till PDP is removed one way or another   cool cool
You can have the middle belt. We just want our own country.

What rights do the protesters have to block inter-state highways; and to what extent do the have the right to prevent movement especially of those who don't share in their protest? Now more lives are needlessly lost on this unproductive protest.

my the soul of the deceased rest in peace. But the protesters have a joint culpability in these deaths alongside these trigger happy police men.

it is time to call off these strike and protest to avoid further bloodshed!
A million dollar question. I wish no one dies, but I hope those dying are the protesters (they knew what they were getting into) and not innocent ones. wink wink wink wink wink
PoliticsRe: Nigeria Heading For Civil War – Soyinka by Nchara: 9:27pm On Jan 10, 2012
As an Igbo man I will definitely prefer an Igbo-only country. We have all we need to make it.
The farthest I can go is the old eastern region (for those of them WILLING, no compulsion)
I have zero preference for a southern Nigeria that includes Yorubas. Their wahala too much.
PoliticsRe: Two-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by Nchara(op): 9:19pm On Jan 10, 2012
Hercules and Ekiti Bear:

Please accept or reject all or any of these conclusions:

1. ACN as a party is not on the street protesting the fuel subsidy removal because they ACN governors (like other governors) will benefit from it
2. The protest is loudest in the SW where ACN govts are in charge
3. Most SWners are of ACN and therefore most protesters from SW are ACN members
4. ACN govts are not protesting but ACN masses are protesting
5. The interests of ACN govs are not in sync with that of the ACN masses (with respect to the issue in question)
6. Therefore, ACN govts are deceiving ACN masses, playing politics with their members.

I say talk to the Police, do they not know their basic duty? They are meant to protect lives and citizens, instead of killing protesters, they can protect those who are ready to work.
As per the Igbo thing, most of those on NL that are against the protests are of Eastern origin, thankfully, situation on ground is different, majority of Nigerians support the strike action.
Does a protester need the police to tell him not to disturb those not interested in protesting?

I call them fighting for their rights, do you know how many people died for this democracy? How old were you when people were dying on Ikorodu road fighting Babangida and Abacha in 1993? Please do not pretend to feel any empathy for those protesting as we know where you stand, take a cue from Beaf, he makes his stand and stands by it.
Can those not protesting also be said to be fighting for their right to go about their own daily businesses unmolested by protesters?
