PoliticsTwo-face: ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal by Nchara(op): 4:16pm On Jan 10, 2012
Why is Tinubu and the ACN party not protesting the fuel subsidy removal?
Why are they not on the streets?
Open your eyes: Wale Tinubu connection
Ordinary Nigerians who love to protest, please do so carefully with your minds and eyes screwed on well
Some goons are leading you to your graves. Don't be a sucker.

ACN governors and leaders secretly want subsidy removal. Hence they are not protesting it. They say something else in public to please their ignorant masses but do something else in secret. They were part of the governors forum that initiated the subsidy removal in the first place.

when d result of d strike is being acheived, wouldn't the south-east benefit from it.
And if the gains of subsidy removal begins to manifest, wouldn't the SW and North benefit?

And BTW, who said there was no protest in the SE? They simply were not unruly like the touts in the SW and N.

I laugh when these easterners are saying the NLC didn't protest the killings by boko haram. Is there any correlation between boko and labour? simply no, so i dont expect anything from labour. Since, you people are claiming you lost more in numbers to boko, what efforts have you made at you end to protest this senseless killings? You always waiting for the westerners to spearhead this protest for you guys? why will you always like to be spoon-fed? Take the bull by the horn and protest against boko haram, or u can send your massob against them up there north.
Fact is, there is no tribe that didnt have casualties to boko, they have even killed more northerners than southerners since their campaign began.

I will always give a thumb-up for the yoruba race, people call us names like we dont speak with one voice. How do you expect a well learned set of people to speak with one voice, its simply not possible. We rose against IBB, against OBJ that is even our blood, we don't need any region to fight on our behalf. Lagos protest is alone to bring the whole nation to a standstill, what is even the contribution of the SE to the nation's GDP? You guys think highly of yourself, you think you gonna take after jonah in 2015? HAHAHA, am laughing really hard in mandarin. The serious ones among you know that simply ain't possible.

So far a nation called Nigeria still exist, and i still have a breath of life in me, we shall witness an ibo vice-president, let alone the presidency.
You should kill yourself, really.

Protesters pelt Etsu Nupe’s palace with stones
By Our Reporter 5 hours 11 minutes ago
Font size: Decrease font Enlarge font

The palace of the paramount ruler of Nupe ethnic nationality, Etsu Nupe of Bida in Niger State, was yesterday pelted by protesters as the labour- organised protest against withdrawal of fuel subsidy turned violent in the ancient town.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) learnt that the protest started peacefully with members of the organised labour leading it.

But it was later hijacked by hoodlums, who reportedly vandalised the billboards in front of the monarch’s palace. They pelted the gate of the edifice, damaging it.

NAN also learnt that security agents went into action and contained the situation, dispersed the hoodlums from the area and effectively brought the protest in the town to an end.

Etsu Nupe’s Secretary, Alhaji Abdulmalik Usman, confirmed the story, saying: “It is true that the protesters vandalised some structures in front of the palace. The security agents have effectively handled the situation and everything has returned to normal in the town. People are now going about their usual businesses.”

Why do you love being punished like this?

Firstly - I could have chosen not to respond to ileke's posts, emoticon or not. You wouldn't know whether I read and approved/disapproved

Secondly - A quick review of your posts today alone will reveal that you have made many more eediotic, moronic, imbecilic, and vile posts. How many of those did I respond to? I stopped cautioning posters against making incendiary comments a long time ago once I realised that many are bent on being a certain way. You sir, are the king of such posters. You can't be reasoned and I will not waste my precious time trying to make you see reason because you are a sad, lonely, and bitter man. Ileke on the otherhand, only started responding to hateful characters like your goodself, sir Mekus/akin-egba/igbobuiogb/environer/amongst many others. Any intelligent reader would observe that she got my message.

Thirdly - You didn't pay for my education or provide moral guidance to me growing up. You also don't pay for my Internet access. I am free and at liberty to do as I please, as you are equally entitled to, and will use/fight-for that liberty at all times.

You can carry on making an arse of yourself and I will carry on ignoring you and your types.

The West and North are crude oil parasites who are afraid to be weaned of their parasitism.
God bless Ondo state for helping to lift the SW from crude oil parasitism. Ondo folks here say aye!!!!!
The North needs lifting. What will bail their cat? Groundnut?

Femi Otedola and Wale Tinubu (Thief Tinubu's brother) are the sponsors of the protest in the West.
The northerners are largely malus that go where the wind blows.
Or, the NUC chairman, (what's his name again) a northerner, must have taken hefty bribe from the oil cabals and El Rufai.

I wish ACN that fakely and hypocritically prides itself as progressive will ask for resources control. That is progress, not empty rhetoric. That way, every state manages their resource and pay a fixed amount to the center. Only then will the breeze blow and chicken yanssh go open. All the Northern states and at least 4 of the 6 SW states will collapse.

We all better begin to think of diversifying the economy. That is the only way forward.

Can you make yourself more coherent?
Which article?
Written by whom?
Who is killing who in the SW?
Who has been killed in the SE?
Who is the op of this thread?
On what basis is this thread, on fact or rumor?

After you are able to gather your thoughts more intelligently, perhaps you will make a lit bit of sense, for once.

simple question, why is the Governor restricting the citizens of Enugu state. What of igbos or even hausas in that state who would like to express themselves.
I warned you to always hear from both sides. Now you see below that people protested in Enugu.

Protests and rallies were held in Abeokuta, Minna, Ibadan, Ado-Ekiti, Osogbo, Awka, Enugu, Owerri, Port Harcourt, Makurdi, Bauchi and Gombe and Oyo, among other state capitals and cities.

@radical I regret replyin u, but my bad I tot u were worth it.

@nchara there is more to clashes in Nigeria than just conveniently labelling it north vs. South or Igbo vs. Muslim.

There has been killing on both sides (though I hate using north/south) the proportional distribution is not my area of expertise

Also these clashes sometimes has to do with tribal wranglings (in Niger may be Igbo vs. Nupes, in Kano with the hausas, in maiduguri with kanuris, pardon my use of Igbo it's just an example) so it has nothing to do with religion

And at times its just outright conspiracy (just like this BH case) coz neither the northerners nor southerners know who or what those guys really want.

So u see black and White may be two extremes, but in between are various shades of greys
Killing on which both sides?  I am a southerner. I am not concerned with Berom versus Fulani. I am concerned with Igbos being killed in the North for no reason. Let's leave aside the civil war where you can argue that some Igbo military guys killed northern leaders and Igbo were killed in retaliation, leading to the war where over 3 million additional Igbos were killed. I understand that.  But what do not understand is why you guys have been killing Igbos since after the war? You appear to live in denial and at this point I stop the discussion? Bye.

don't get it twisted. Today I read with dismay about the alleged killings in Benin city. And on that thread some pple were chanting yes very good, kill them all. Some one even went as far as commenting of a photo of a  burning human being  as "nice picture"

NB I don't get your argument, am not from jos, but killing anybody anywhere is wrong, and I commend the actions of the youth of minna coz I was in the minna protest. But if the reports from Benin are true, then it was the community that was attacking the hausa community there
No live is worth losing and I do not support any form of t.i.t-for-tat killing. But the fact is that the northerners (muslims) have been killing southerners (Christians/Igbo) since time immemorial. True or false?
