Many thanks. I got to Ado Ekiti around 11:15. I managed not to settle anyone. It was a smooth journey. It was fun driving Interstate but those sharp corners in Ekiti. Na God o...
Johntemmy: just dress responsibly....just make sure you have all the papers with you so Incase...but am sure they won't disturb you.. wishing you a safe trip.
Thanks. I got to Ekiti safely. I was stopped just once. I give God the glory..
After careful consideration, I have decided to travel to Ekiti for a friend's wedding this Friday.
However, due to the bad road, my husband suggested that I travel with his jeep which was registered in his name.
All my ID has my maiden name include my driver's license. Will this be a problem at the checking points? I just want to be sure that everything is right to make my journey as smooth as possible.
I have made up my mind to drive down to Ado Ekiti tommorow. However, due to the bad road, my husband suggested that I travel with his jeep which was registered in his name. All my ID has my maiden name include my driver's license. Will this be a problem at the 12 checking points that is between Ilesha and Ado? I want to be sure everything is right to make my journey as smooth as possible. aieromon, GOT1, Johntemmy, seunsiju. Pls what do u think?
this is my sincere advice to you: Avoid travelling to that area, if you can. There have been several security incidents over the past months, and various portions of the highways are bad.
seunsiju: Don't let anybody put fear in ur mind... This month alone I ply through Lagos to Ado three times, that's 6 times, to and fro...pass through Iwaraja so safe, d only issue is There are 12 Popo checkpoint from Ibadan to Ado and 4 Army checkpoint, all cost at least 200 per checkpoint... Ilesa - Ife police checkpoint even get POS.. You're safe bro... Come and give testimony after u come back
Whao!! 3 times? Some encouragement for me really. Is the road good? How long will d journey take? I don't think polic men really harass ladies on the highway if the paper is complete.
GOT1: God will go with you, however don't be scared but be careful of asking people for direction as it is my route that I ply every month. So when you get to the end of Ilesha-Akure dualized road then you turn left, that is iwaraja road with lot of sharp corner. Then on that road you will turn left again to link aramoko road and when you get to aramoko you turn right straight down to Ado.
Please how long will the journey take if I leave Berger by 5.15am? Also, somebody mentioned that there are serious police check points on the road.
aieromon: Do not let anybody scare you. Lagos to Ado is roughly 5 hours. The route thins out into a single lane once you branch off the Ilesa-Akure Express into Iwaraja. The checkpoints from Iwaraja to Ado are more than 10 and fully active so prepare to be stopped multiple times.
nifemi25: Why not hire someone to drive you down there . So as to reduce the stress of driving on you...make sure you don't travel in the night ...it's really dangerous. Olorun awa pelu e
Nice advise really. My hubby (out of town) also suggested this. Who can I trust on this now??
dplordx: If they kidnap you, Demi will never stop the wedding for you. Even me wey I get wedding for ibadan, na cash I send the groom. These kidnappers work with police and with an ES350, you are a perfect target. Anyways, na your funeral if you want to go... Lagos to Ekiti on a good is roughly 8 hours thanks to the had roads

moorevic: Ndidibabe have we met before? Going spiritual doesn't mean when you die it dies with you rather it glues to your family. It has come to stay unless you invite a more powerful being to get rid of it.
We all want to get rich and enjoy the fullness of life but going to the devil isn't advisable. I hope you are all ready to live with the choices you make.
For the very first time, I am doubting whether to drive interstate or not.
When I was in OAU, I frequently drive from Lagos to Ife. I have also driven to Akure in Ondo state from Ife for a wedding . My last interstate journey was to a town in Osun from Lagos late last year and honestly I found it stressful. Body don dey old small small. Besides, there were at least six checking points on the road which made the journey less interesting as I had to stop many times. The road was bad too and I was so scared of being kidnapped because I had to move at a very low speed.
It's a colleagues wedding ceremony in Igbemo Ekiti, a nearby town to the capital of Ekiti this weekend. I plan to travel on Friday with two other colleagues( female) and lodge in an Ado Ekiti hotel, then proceed to Igbemo next day.
I will be driving a Lexus ES350 which is very road worthy. I understand Lagos to Ekiti is about 5 hours. I do not know the road network very well. I actually thought I could follow Akure but I was told the road is bad from Akure to Ekiti. I was advised to take Ilesha.
I would have opted for public transport but I visited Ojota and Berger to make some findings on Saturday and I was shocked to see the kind of buses that ply Ekiti. They looked like death traps.
What do you advise considering security, road network and the distance. Thank you.
peteregwu: VIKINGS CULT LEADER, AND GANG, SURRENDERS GUN AND ACCEPTS JESUS.
As a fisherman uses a live worm for a decoy when fishing, so does God of Chosen sometimes lure souls to the kingdom, through problems and afflictions. Especially, souls he's interested in.
When he goes direct to bring lost souls home and they refuse, he allows His great army (locusts, cankerworms, palmerworms, caterpillars, sickness and afflictions - Joel 2:25) to trouble us; not to destroy us , but that we might reconsider and return back to him.
The testimony of brother Ifeanyi is a typical example of such case.
He was a ring leader of the supreme vikings cult in Nigeria, a principal-offender, a repeat-offender and has raped, robbed and killed many of his victims.
One day, he called our Chosen brother who lives in same neck of the woods, and asked him “ brother, you've lived in this area for a long time and you don't associate or talk with anyone; besides, everyone is afraid of you and your lifestyle; what cult are you into? ” Our Chosen brother told him he doesn't belong to any cult.
He then deduced that our brother was a member of ogboni confraternity which our brother denied, that he is a Chosen and don't need to join a cult.
He urged our brother to join his gang and our brother again rebuffed, and then he collected our brother's number, with hope that someday they will become friends.
That particular idea of his eventually paid off. A fellow-feeling was birthed and God of Chosen began to do his work.
Not long after, our Chosen brother received a distress call from Ifeanyi and urged him to come immediately. Our brother who didn't know where he stays, demanded for directions and he eventually found his way to his house .
Getting there, he found out that Ifeanyi has a severe pile. He couldn't sit or stand.
Our brother took him to the hospital and when they got there, the doctor said he has to undergo an operation and that the operation will cost 250,000.
His family was then contacted and when they came, they refused their brother to be operated, that they have a better place(herbalist) for him where he can be healed pro bono.
Before he left the hospital, the doctor told him, just like our Chosen brother initially told him, that “it's only God of Chosen that can deliver him." Funny as it may sound, the doctor wasn't even a Chosen member. This showed that God of Chosen was working ahead of them.
The herbalist did all they could but couldn't heal him, and they called people from white garment church who also did all they could, but couldn't fathom all that was going on with the boy.
After several efforts and no positive result, they told the boy that what he is suffering from is a spiritual problem, and that only God of Chosen can deliver him. That he should find his way to the chosen church.
This was the second time, strangely, that a solution was been proffered by non-chosen members.
He was brought to Chosen where he eventually confessed his sins and surrendered his guns.
That very evening, after he turned over a new leaf, he was invited to our branch church in Orile, Lagos, for more counsel and prayers– and when he was dressed up and ready to go, his friends accosted him and were shocked when it was revealed to them that their leader turned the page and was having a date with the Lord.
They thought he was joshing, and they followed him to Chosen.
Getting there, the rest of his minions all surrendered to God of chosen. They said “ if their alpha-male could turn the page and become a Chosen, then, they are all ready to change."
The resident pastor counselled them and gave his personal apron to the leader, as he's been constantly troubled and scared of a backlash from his quondam members.
When he wore the apron to his vicinity, and even his neighborhood, there was pandemonium! The baffled locals came out in their numbers and began to talk in hushed tones.
It was indeed a sight to behold.
When questioned by dwellers, he told them he is now a Chosen and has renounced his former cult name, which he was known for.
He rendezvoused with his erstwhile members and after telling them of his intention to back out, one of them got angry and tried to hurt Ifeanyi, but the bottle he broke ricocheted and injured him.
They eventually, let him go, even though it was a hard pill to swallow.
Today, our brother has been given a new life and a second chance by God of chosen.
Suspect33: is the institution of marriage still relevant?? People now have sex and make babies without getting married, and why would I want to live with one person for the rest of my life?? makes no sense
U no get sense. In fact, you are very daft with this your statement. Can you afford adultery? How much do you have?
