Clerverly: If your assertion was correct, my advice would be for you and your Never-Developed State to use that as your mainstay instead of being a parasite to other state's resources! Hope you got my driftIntellectual midgets find it difficult to make meaningful contributions to topics like this so they seek attention by making dumb statements like yours. You've received your 2 seconds of attention and fame, not get lost. mumu |
I find this new trend by Lagos State officials including their Governor, Fashola, of deceiving the public with bogus statistics, quite disturbing. Only a day or two ago, Commissioner of Transportation in Lagos State, Kayode Opeifa, claimed that Okada Accidents have Reduced By 95% In Lagos since the Okada ban was instituted. Kayode did not tell us how he arrived at the 95% figure or what study came up with it. Now, the Governor, Fashola has now come up with his own statistics, provided by the Wiches and Wizards association of Lagos. This kind of narrow minded pronouncement and recent screwups by Fashola are quite disappointing. |
lmao ![]() And Zimbabwe is richer than Canada
Why not? sebi we are plucking numbers from thin air ni. |
I remain doubtful of Fashola's claim and I have provided you with data which do not support that claim. Please support your own claim with credible data. There is no need to argue about this. When I see credible data which is contrary to the GDP data provided by our government, then I will be more than happy to admit that I erred. So far, I remain unconvinced. |
edoyad: Even from that suspicious data you produced from the NBS, one can easily see sectors dominated by lagos adding up to 65% of non oil GDP. Isnt that the same NBS that claims there are more people in kano than Lagos?Oga, where did you and Fashola get your 65% from? If Fashola was referring to our GDP, who provides that data to the public? If not NBS, would it be the witches and wizards organization of Nigeria? If Agric alone contribute almost 50% to non oil GDP, how can you say Lagos state alone contributes 65%? I am not going to waste my time with you because you don't know how to read simple tabular data or do simple arithmetic. abeg make we hear word. |
@OP, stop spreading untruths initiated by suspicious journalists. What Fashola said was that he believes that Lagos State accounts for up to 65% of non-oil GDP, but we do not have any data to support the statement. If the OP has any data to support Fashola's claims, please post. I counter Fashola's statement by stating that Kano State accounts for more than the percentage contributed by Lagos state. For the ignorant folks, note that Agricuulture contributed 40% to the Real GDP and if you look at non oil GDP alone, that contribution will be higher than 40%. It is ridiculous and deceptive to make a bogus claim that Lagos State contributes 65% to non oil GDP. You can verify 2012 Q2 GDP Report here. Go to Table 6: 2011 and Q1—Q2 2012 Real Gross Domestic Product (Constant 1990): Sectoral Contribution & Growth Rate (Percentages) section and see for yourselves. I don't know why politicians lie like this. |
hercules07: Read well, I was referring to casualties, of course the US Army does not have a monopoly on ability to fight, they will make mistakes too.I'm glad you understand that great Armies, including Nigeria's make mistakes and mistakes such as the one you sighted, are not enough to reach the broad and senseless conclusion of yours. The Nigerian Army is not as bad as you people are projecting. We have one of the best in Africa, whether you like it or not. |
hercules07: I gave you an instance, the US one you cited had the US ARMY killing as many Somali rebels as possible and were hamstrung by the fact that they respect the Geneva convention (the us Air Force was not involved), the Nigeria Army is in shambles because they are ill equipped, do not train well and do not understand what it takes to be an army in the 21st century, killing unarmed civilians does not show a disciplined force.I had to laugh at the bolded above. So the US army allowed the helicopters to b e shot down, their soldiers shot and killed then dragged through the street because the US Army was hamstrung by respect for Geneva convention? I'm pretty sure you see how ridiculous your claim is. |
hercules07: Served at the armored core hq bauchi so was close to those old t55 tanks and their noise hope that helps, also spoke and chatted with those who fought in Liberia and Sierra Leone, hope you remember when a whole Naija unit was pinned down by Somali civilians, it took the help of the Americans to rescue them. This post exposes the ignorance of its author's. hercules07 believes that since a Naija unit was pinned down by somalian civilians, then the whole Nigerian Army is in shambles and filled with incompetent soldiers ![]() Let me remind hercules that, a unit of the US Marines was not only pinned down in Somalia, but had their helicopters shot down, had their soldiers killed, and dragged through Somalia streets. Should we now conclude that the US Army, marines, and Airforce is in a shocking state and is run by incompetent officers? I remind you that Nigerian Army has been praised by several international organizations and have won several awards and praises for the exemplary performances arround the world. This provocation by the UK, is one of their ploys to justify defense spending by the Nigerian government - the next thing you will hear is that UK companies and government is partnering with Nigeria to improve the Nigerian Army at a cost of $10billion plus 50,000 barrels of oil per month. The UK needs to be facing its fiscal problems instead of worrying about Nigerian Army. |
Seanet, wetin Ibos do you sef? Seriously, your fixation on Ibo is too much. And you need to stop making policies that are meant to sanitize Lagos look like anti-Ibo policies. The policies affect everybody living in the state. It is counter-productive and not in Lagos best interest.
Akanbi can be quite reasonable when he wants to. The above is a sensible post. Respects |
Desola: seriously though, you're not really hausa, are you?Why are you people worried about my race, ethnicity, or tribe, when you should be judging me by the contents of my character? Must you people live by this racist behavior? For the umpteenth time, I am a full blooded NIGERIAN!!! It it makes you feel better, my ancestral home is located in Kasuwan Magani Kajuru LGA. Now, iyen o mean pe to ba nice, emi ko le fi e she Iyawo keta, as long as ti o ba cool pelu niqab/burqa, though ma a koko kpa Negro_Ntn. ![]() |
Judging by my interaction with northerners, you don't exactly fit the character. You are either an impostor or mixed blood.
You are not sober and continue to dig yourself deeper in a hole. You keep making bigoted statements and then feel good about them because you supposedly party with elites up North, who you believe are representative of Northerners. Your comment that a Northerner who is "mixed blood" as you put it, cannot be a Northerner is another proof of your bigotry which until now, you may not have been aware that you suffer from. Go and tell Obasanjo that he is not a Southwesterner or Yoruba, because one of his parents is Igbo, IBB that he is not a Northerner because he is of "mixed blood". While you are at it, do remember to inform Oju Yobo that he is not a Lagosian because nobody knows where his family compound is. Abeg make we hear word, Ashawo oko Fulani. ![]() |
The Op's mischievous thread is a bold face lie. |
Soyinka is getting old, senile, and hypocritical, by the day. Here's is a man who represented MEND, a terrorist organization, and one way or the other, participated in negotiations with MEND, now calling dialogue with Boko Haram appeasement SMH |
Dont get carried away in your new found role....remember that NL is an open forum and with contingents of various tongues, many of which are non-igbo. If you want an Igbo only forum you already have that in ENYI, take your discussions over there. In NL, you will observe the protocol which serves to unite, not divide, Nigerians of all background.
Onlytruth and his people would be well advised to listen to your suggestion. It is actually foolish to be publicly exposing their imperfections the way they are doing on this thread. Issues like this should be hashed out within their ENYI setup. Why project themselves as buffoons when it is not necessary - I am disappointed because I assumed that these folks are more sensible than this. SMH |
Paul John: 9 November 2012 , By Yemi Bamidele, Source: Daily TrustThis is what state governments should be doing - creating environments which are favorable to investors, so that those investors/businesses, such as Kama Milk Industry can come in and help create jobs. There are a few questions which were not addressed in this announcement. (1)Is Oyo state providing $25million to this company as a grant, loan, or what? (2)Why are we being told that Kama Milk will "gulp" $25million? What does this mean? (3)What is the monetary investment by Kama Milk company. (4)How is it possible to create 100,000 jobs through the activities of a single company (this seems like an impossibility or outright deceit, but I stand to be corrected. I sincerely hope that this Kama Milk does not end up milking Oyo state. I am truly concerned about the barrage of announcements such as this without much details. In this case the only sure thing we are informed of, is that Kama Milk will gulp money. Would someone please help make me feel better by clarifying these issues? |
That's my girl!!! Be strong and don't let them drive you out of office, even before you've had a chance to resume the office. Noting do you. |
I hope you sorry people know that this young lady is a student and does not need the kind of Agro you are introducing into her system. Believe it or not, this attack on this young lady can have a very negative emotional effect on her, so I urge you people to tone down on the Rhetoric and let Ogugua be. In the words of the great Ukpabi Asika, who most of you ignorant Igbos know nothing about, "Enough is Enough - Ukpabi Asika (1967)" |
I am happy you guys are seeing the guy for who he is. People calling him "aboki" shouldn't be too sure he is a northerner. His character does not exactly fit.
Your prejudice and bigotry have now affected your sensibilities. "His character" does not fit what? You should be ashamed of yourself for continuing to believe, in this day and age, that Igbo people are kidnappers and 419ers while your "Abokis" are narrow minded beggars. You people need to get off your behinds and travel around the country. Make sure you visit Zaria and chat with some of the Progressives at ABU. This kind of self education will prepare you for the shock you'll experience come 2015. I know you have trouble dealing with my talent for languages and cannot deal with the fact that I probably understand Yoruba better than you do. Please understand that to truly understand a friend or adversary, it is important to also understand her language. Da wasa ake fadawa wawa magana. |
Please has the Eze elect Odumchi commented on this show of shame? |
abeg, gi dem 6 months, nobody go tell dem before dem begin drive us out. I traust ma peeps. ![]() |
Good speech. Would you care to explain your omission and lack of mention of the Eze nwanyi elect? How can you fail to mention her in a Valedictory speech Secondly, you need to go and execise your authority on the thread where Igbo people are being disgraced with the call for Ogugua's impeachment. |
Chaa! Chaa!! Chaa!!! Umu Igbo Kwenu! Riienu!! muonu!!! Zuonu!!!! I thought by now, this thread would have died naturally. I now realize that eran iya ni awon aj'okuta mamumi, thus, I tanda for hia. https://25.media.tumblr.com/tumblr_magdxkEjMa1rfo12po1_250.gif |
Desola: You see what I see tooonijogbon ni e. ode ma jegba sooner or later. |
Why didn't they lock the motherf*ucker up in our Gwantanamo bay in the SS, have they infiltrated thjat facility as well? Clowns www.nairaland.com/attachments/180447_ROTFLMAO_gif3d0c775232c7f27cf80592785b9635b6 |
hercules07: You keep starting your responses with insults, it is not a good way to have civilised interactions. Southwest leaders not participating does not mean you should disparage what others are saying, they might be more interested in Federalism as a form of government while economically they want regional integration, by the way, I am sure I have read some SW leaders saying we should go back to the days of the regions.OK sir, idobale ni mo wa. eyin ati Gbawe, e ma binu sir. |
hercules07: This man go easy on the insult, you do not know me neither do you know what I stand for, for your information, I supported Buhari, I am not a bigot, if you are looking for one, they are all over Nairaland, your opposition to what is happening is because you prefer the status quo, you should be happy that some governments are thinking of how to make their region better without looking up to Abuja, why do you have so much hatred for something that will in the long run benefit the common man, that your oro up there shows exactly the thoughts within you, you need to have a change of heart. Then stop making posts like the typical ACN goons. OK, e ma binu sir. mo sorry, but emi ati Gbawe ma wo shotoko kan today. ![]() If you don't mind, please help me understand why SW leaders are not participating in the constitution review process. Why have they not made any submission in support of Regionalism? |
Gbawe, Gbawe, Gbawe, oro yin ti su mi kpata kpata. I will state here that I understand why you've refused to ackowledge the disgrace of the inaction goinging on, by your leaders, regarding the ongoing constitutional review. It is impossible to find a single post wher you people can muster the courage to criticize your leader, Oju Yobo. We see the same behavior in our Igbo brothers who are also unable to criticise the great Ojukwu under any circumstance. I'm satisfied that you all have been exposed as opponents of regionalism and true Federalism. You've folded your arms and refused to make a single submission to NASS contitution review committee - that says it all. Mo ti finish pelu yin now, everybody ti ri idi yin ni'ita. ![]() |
hercules07: Let ohaneze fight for it, if they need our support we will gladly give it to them, while they are doing that, we will continue with this one, there is no crime in planning, free money from the Niger Delta will soon dry up, tell your people in the north to start planning their own regional integration.Oga, I bet you subscribe to this "kaka ka dobale fun Gambari, ka roju ka ku" yet you are worshipping and prostrating for the "golden boy" who self acclaimed recently that he is your god and continues to rob you and your family blind. mumu |
To be honest, I didn't know that real Press people follow this site. They've actually reported on this nairalander Advocate666's thread. See the story |
Gbawe: Dude, take a hike. I won't indulge intellectual laziness any further. This is non of your business anyway. You are simply unraveling as the quintessentially ugly image of those who never proffer useful solutions yet propose a perpetuation of a status quo that benefits a few yet fails the majority. Why are you people not championing Regionalism and fighting vigorously for it, as currently being done by Ohaneze? Your lack of leadership and participation in this ongoing constitution review process is a disgrace to your leaders. It is clear that you and your leaders want to maintain the status quo, and install ACN regimes throughout the SW so that the fleecing can continue unabated. With Regionalism, regional integration becomes a mute point. Why not participate in the process and agressively go after this, if you are indeed change agents? Barawos. |
hercules07: His company does not collect it, he only identifies those who should pay more.whether dem collect or dem facilitate de collection, the truth of the matter is that they are paid over N30billion/year for the services, and stand to make over N2trillion if they expand their services to all ACN state. |
