May all the victims' souls RIP.

He was sitting outside his compound when some Armed Boko Haram suspected killers opened fire and shot the two brothers to death
It is unfortunate that people are assuming that the killers are BH terrorists. This kind of assumption may enable the real killers to escape prosecution if the assumption is wrong. We should allow police to complete their investigations before jumping into unhelpful conclusions. This appears to be the work of hired assassins and does not follow the pattern of BH activities.

Katsumoto: I don't understand the purpose of this thread.
I think the OP is lamenting the lack of quality leadership in the region. What obtains are leaders who are quick to invoke Awo's name for their personal gains while unable to come close to matching Awo's leadership skills or accomplishments.

Katsumoto: If you look all over Africa, you will struggle to find anyone matching Awo.

Harold McMillan (British Prime Minister at Independence) once described Awo as being fit to be British Prime Minister.
Please dude

I'll say it once more "Their story is similar to the stories of Delta, Enugu, Anambra, Lagos, Ondo, Middle-belt, Rivers, Ghana, etc farmers/villagers whom have accused the Fulani of terrorizing their community. All this people have no connection with each other, some are miles away from eachother yet their accusation correlate with eachother and their culprit are Fulani Herdsmen. Incase you've never heard of something called criminal pattern, that right there is a criminal pattern. I got everything I need to make a verifiable, justifiable conclusion the community is telling the truth. They got eye witnesses of an entire village, they got testimony from an entire village, plus the criminal pattern of the fulani, and what do you have to counteract their story "a criminal or a local wore a fulani attire and committed the crime"

A minute ago you were asking me to provide you evidence that the community knew their culprits were Fulani due to them saying it is not testimony enough for you. Now because a statement supports your close-mindedness and need to hide from the reality, you make a statement with no verifiable proof. Since I'm not conversating to the other guy, I'll ask you. Any evidence to support the Journalism is out to paint fulani bad? Rewind few months ago, during my first weeks in NL, there was a thread about a crime that happened up North, the community accused the Igbo despite no name nor any sort of evidence to back it up. You were one of the people to accept it as fact. Fast forward to recently thread about Anambra peeps been the highest in Asia jail despite no names, no evidence whatsoever other than a saying from a police officer, you again were one of the people that accepted as fact. Now return back to now, you scream foul because its about Fulani. LMFAO. Once more I'll say this: These phenomena extends to Ghana, let me guess the Ghanaian journalists are out to get Fulani too right? Let me see the excuses you've made so far: you went from the local are the ones committing the crime and blaming the fulani, claimed to have proof of a false fulani, when asked for it, it came out to be a false statement. Then you moved on to their is no way a fulani can r@pe anyone even though many communities have narrated about rape. Then you moved on to the villagers statement is not good enough for you. Now its the Journalist are adding in Fulani to the mist, the villagers did not say anything about Fulani. I wonder what the next excuse will be. You've sparked my interest for reals, I really want to know what your next excuse will be/
story story.

I am not discussing any uninformed phenomenon with you on this thread and I expect you to be disciplined enough to be focused in your discussions with me, else I will place you in the bit bucket of dullards unworthy of chatting with me.

I am interested in the topic of this thread and the gruesome rape reported by the OP. I maintain that no one has provided conclusive evidence that the crime was committed by Fulani herdsmen. We have no arrest and no proof that any herdsman was involved. If you are not bright enough to see the point I am making, please stop responding to my posts and continue to wallow in your bigotry and act of being the police, judge, and jury all at the same time. dolo
Mschewwwww. If I'm Igbo, how the f2k does that concern you? How the heck did that even come into this? Irrelevant.
Once more listen to yourself and tell me if you think you are making any sense. If a lion is attacking your house, are you going to the police or animal shelter and tell them a cow is attacking your house? or are you going to report a mf lion is attacking my house? What sort of justification do you think you are making? The community narrated what it is that is terrorizing them in their backyard (i.e: the fulani herdsmen. No matter how much you try to spin it, it is the FULANI HERDSMEN that did it. Shikena). This Nigg@ is talking about do they have prove to support it. Yes they have proof. There eyes, ears, brain, that natural senses that teaches them how to survive. An entire village cannot gang up and make up a lie about a set of people. Noone is stupid enough not make notice of what is terrorizing them. On top of that, an entire village, population pass most likely 200, have the same people narrating and scared of the same sh1t they actually went to the state government begging them to help them, sent elders to the police station begging them to help them and you are here talking about any evidence. Even if this people caught the fulani herdsmen, you would still be making some form a excuse. Remember the enugu incident? When they caught the fulani in the Enugu attack and killed the guy, you still accused them of attacking an innocent man. I can go and get a quote right now for you. I'll continue saying this: Their story is similar to the stories of Delta, Enugu, Anambra, Lagos, Ondo, Middle-belt, Rivers, Ghana, etc farmers/villagers whom have accused the Fulani of terrorizing their community. All this people have no connection with each other, some are miles away from eachother yet their accusation correlate with eachother and their culprit are Fulani Herdsmen. You seem to lack the capability of getting the big picture. Your unnecessary effeminate emotionalism is off the mark, below is an example of a poster that gets the big picture. Read the post and think.
Government has to do something about journalism in Nigeria. There is something irresponsible in reporting criminal acts as "fulani" act especially when no arrests were made. Even if arrests were made and the perpetrators were found to be Fulani, it still is better reported as crime perpetrated by individuals and not a particular ethnic group.

This will save the police a lot of attention when doing their job of protecting lives and property.

As I said, if this was a one act thing I probably believe your story over there's but there story has been narrated so many times by many communities in different states in different occasions. To add more salt to it, this is equally happening in Ghana in case you weren't aware. The fulani attacks on herdsmen and village are also happening in Ghana. I don't know about the raping but the attacking, stealing, etc is also a problem in Ghana. You cannot say the Ghanaian local and are also wearing a fulani attire to commit the criminal act and then blaming the fulani. Abeg waka commot, learn to live with it. Judging how this is a phenomena, the possibility of them lying is slim to none. The possibility of you lying is high.
I suspect that you are Igbo, you exhibit their kind of stubbornness. Please focus on the specific issue at hand. Where is the conclusive evidence that the criminals in this specific case, are Fulani herdsmen? The police do not have this evidence, the locals have not provided it, you yourself do not have any evidence. I am unwilling to convict any Nigerian without a shred of evidence of his/her crime. By the way, if anyone including a Fulani herdsman is caught, charged to court, and convicted of this crime, that criminal should rot in jail.

For now, we have no criminal in custody, so why vilify hard working nomads who feed you people beef instead of going after and arresting real criminals?

@One_Naira, without a single arrested herdsman and evidence that he committed any crime, I'm afraid, I'll have to stick to my point. What proof did the eye witnesses provide to conclusively support the idea that the criminals are Fulani herdsmen? Wearing Fulani attire is not enough to conclude that one is a Fulani herdsman.

With due respect, for stubbornly insisting that Fulani herdsmen committed this crime without proof, Okwute Palestinians in Gaza piafuka gi isi.
No offense but this sound far-fetched even for you. First of, I would like to see the documented article of the so called imposter in the both SW and SE. Second of, Of all the excuse you can come up with, this is the best you got? Just to molest a woman, they have to wear a fulani attire to do so. Rethink that over and over again and ask yourself this why? Aren't they going to get the same insult, attack, etc if caught so why would they wear a fulani attire to commit a crime that is notorious in all of the entire country. Also ask yourself, fulani attire isn't the only ones sold in Nigeria. There are Igbo, Yoruba, Edo, Ibibio, etc attires so why only Fulani attire. Comeon even you can admit, your excuse sounds so far-fetched. If it is only happened in Ogun and maybe Enugu, I'll probably believe you but this is a phenomena that is happened in so many states in different occasions. There is no way in he11 criminals or locals are the ones behind it. I don't know why anytime there is a thread about a fulani that committed some kind of crime, una would try to push it off to the local or a random criminal. When your own do something wrong, accept it. Everyone has bad apples in their group.
Oga, I don't have time to educate you on the impostor issue, google is your friend. I will not engage in unnecessary analysis which have no bearing whatsoever on my position either.

Here is my position: We do not have conclusive evidence that the criminals in question are Fulani herdsmen, fullstop. In the absence of such evidence, it is irresponsible and bigoted to state that Fulani herdsmen perpetrated the crime. If the police cannot show us the arrested Fulani herdsmen and the evidence of their crimes, it is unwise and bigoted to assume that the ra pings were done by herdsmen, locals, Ogbomosho armed gangs, or Igbo criminals.

I reject the notion that Fulani herdsmen ra ped anyone in the area while noting that you sir, are free to believe whatever you wish or choose to be bigoted if that's your preference.
You really cannot believe it's the local doing all this act while wearing a fulani attire.
It could be the locals, or other armed robbers and criminals who come in from surrounding areas. We have documented cases of impostors in both in the SW and SE, attired like herdsmen to perpetrate their crimes. What I am saying is that without conclusive evidence, people should not be accusing a whole ethnic group in the area of these crimes. That is irresponsible and bigoted.

The law enforcement agencies should do their detective duties and stop leaving such important functions to 70year old locals.
Politics › Re: Fulani Herdsmen Ra.pe Newly Wed In Ogun by nduchucks: 9:00am On Nov 21, 2012
This campaign of calumny against the Fulani herdsmen by these locals is getting old. People who should be holding their leaders accountable for lack of law enforcement and security continue to shamelessly point their fingers at herdsmen. We've seen similar behavior in the SE where impostors commit crimes while wearing Fulani attire in a poor attempt to cover their crimes.

The problem is these locals or the police do not have any herdsman in custody nor have a iota of proof that herdsmen committed these gruesome ra pe of a newly wed. Pray tell, how did the septuagenarian determine that the armed criminals were Fulani herdsmen, simply by the clothes they wore? Does he not yet know that the criminals among them have started to impersonate these herdsmen to cover their crimes?

This is like accusing Abriba warriors of ra pe and murder simply because some craftful armed robbers and criminals decided to perpetrate their crimes while wearing Abriba regalia. Nonesense and ingredients!!

It is irresponsible to claim that Farouk was wrongfully cleared of bribery if one is not privy to the information at the disposal of the Reps.

Until you've seen the evidence used to clear Farouk, you should not be trying to be police, Judge, and Jury, all at the same time.
