The fat lady is yet to sing. |
That tatoo is a dog. We all know who the dog lover in the house is. ![]() ![]() |
jpphilips:This is a Billion naira question. I suspect that GEJ is trying to protect the Office of the President and Presidential powers which Mark and his cohorts attempted to reduce while selfishly bestowing upon the Senate unprecedented powers. What I don't understand is why GEJ thought he should expose the fraud in the Amendments instead of allowing Buhari to do it himself. Something is amiss and I can't quite put my fingers on it. |
jpphilips:OK, it appears that way may be on the same page but semantics got in the way. If as you say, Jonathan can veto constitutional amendments, but NASS can send it to states anyway, then I do not consider that to be a veto. But I 100% agree with you that only the courts can hold their c0cks. |
100 Gbosa for the OP. |
The FG has a point, all of the provisions which require 80% majority vote which were included with less than the said four-fifth approval, will be rendered unconstitutional and ultimatelly struck down - but I am not sure that this is the time for that. If I were a betting person, I'd bet that the supreme court will not make a ruling on this and toss the case out. The courts have no business telling NASS how to do their jobs, besides, the Amendments have not yet been sent to the states for approval, so NASS still has time to revisit the amendments. As I told many people, including Mr. jpphilips, the President cannot veto amendments to the constitution, hence he decided to go to court to force NASS to remove certain provision early in the game. Shame on NASS for including these 419 provisions, and shame on GEJ for taking NASS to court. He could have simply expresssed his concerns and let NASS have a do over on the provisions in question. As it stands, The APC NASS, with President Buhari and the APC controlled states, will decide what provisions are amendeded. David Mark & GEJ, both rougues are wasting their time. There is more to this than meets the eyes and the real truth will come out soon enough. |
Rose2014:e be like say you dey ignorant small. The vast majority of our Oil resources come from offshore sources within the territorial waters of this great country which equally belong to ALL Nigerians. You people can keep the onshore resources as long as you paid for their exploration and drilling. This idea that you own Oil miles and miles away from your state boundaries, in the deep seas, is one that is dead. This new government will rectify the anomaly created by OBJ, whom you people remain ungrateful to, soon enough. In as much as the like of Danjuma paid for the exploration and drilling of some of your onshore oil, he will continue to collect more money from their drilling than you'll ever see. The oil blocks will be renewed by our President-elect shortly. |
The demands are not necessarily unreasonable. One of them caught my attention: Top on the agenda is ensuring the execution of the second Niger Bridge project, as scheduled. This was one of the promises made to ndiigbo by GEJ which advised the massive support and votes given to PDP by the SE, despite the fact that GEJ continued to 419 my people in the East. If my people will promise to give Buhari at least 70% of their votes in 2019, we can fast track this demand. make una start negotiations, demands are as good as the words of a smooth criminal. |
Some people were hoping against all hope that Buhari would be disqualified and hence prevented from ruling this great country. Such people are ignorant of the fact that no Federal Judge dead or alive has ever overturned any Presidential election results, even when there is evidence of massive rigging, in the history of Nigeria, and no judge will do so in Nigeria, in the foreseeable future. It is time to bury the hatchet and support the President-elect of this great country. |
Dis tory sweet o. I smiled throughout as I read it while drinking my morning coffee. ![]() |
The owners of the machines probably used the people's looted funds from shady government contracts to procure the machines. They people are taking their money back. If that's not the case, the looting is unfair. |
balagoro:lol. kai wanene? Trotsky2? |
lol.....Amaechi will remain the Governor for quitre a while ![]() In all seriousness, we should avoid a constitutional crisis in Rivers. Let Wike be sworn in since he can still be removed by the tribunal given the inherent fraud in the gubernatorial election. @OP,,,take ya time o. I even thought Okorocha was the one who expressed fear over Wike's swearing in, not knowin gthat it was one Okocha. ![]() |
Instead of negotiating peacefully and urging their government to respond, they've decided to threaten us with job losses ko? MTN has now become equivalent to blackmailers, kidnappers and terrorists. I say call their bluff. Let the boycott begin. What nonsense! |
crownprince102:The beauty of spending this N1.35 trillion is that (1) The money will not be in the hands of looters (2)The recipients will not be saving the money in any account but instead will spend it to take care of the immediate needs of body and soul. What this means is the instant infussion of N1.35 Trillion into the economy. Just imaging what that will do for Nigerians! This is a very well ht-out policy. |
IPMAN = ROUGUES = BARAYI |
GEJ has been trying to save face and protect his legacy. He will never pardon Ibori - Ibori is not worth the price of GEJ's legacy. Having said that, I wouldn't be surprised if GEJ exhibits his customary cluenessnesss and idiosy one last time. |
Even Tinubu himself is not dellusional enough to believe that he can call the shots when General Buhari is at the helms of power. The SW will most definitely be compensated for their support but Tinubu will rip his acts of bravery and support, quietly. He'll have full access to Buhari and Aso Rock, and he will definitely have the ears of the President; but do not expect him to be calling any shots. The Tinubu baggage which allowed the SW Governors to block his Vice Presidential ambition, is alive and well. This baggage is why many Nigerians including Buhari and even this poster, do not completely trust the man and would rather that he does not represent the face of APC under any condition. |
anonimi:Are you a learner? Adding other revenues from other sources will make Obiagelli's postulations more credible. |
barcanista:A little bit of intellectual honestly is quite inexpensive and frankly expected from you. Unfortunately, your new stance is quite disappointing. Here is what Buhari stated culled from the reference you povided: All Progressives Congress, APC, presidential candidate, General Muhammadu Buhari (retd), has promised to provide allowances to discharged but unemployed Youth Corps members for Twelve (12) months while in the skills and entrepreneurial development programmes, if elected in 2015.What you stated above and its cost implication as you stated are fraudulent and smack of intellectual dishonesty and outright lies. Oga, you can do better than this. You may need to remove your first itemization and keep your integrity intact - some of us have not yet completely given up on you. |
Nonsense!! They should go and pretest at home and force their Government to protect foreigners. If not they should be boycotted for starters. |
I see that the male chauvinists have already lined up to crusify the lady in the story. While we must condemn the acts and crimes perpetrated by the lady, the men who are blabbing their mouths here are very hypocritical. Many of them run around with multiple wives (me sef get multiple, but legally ). Some of them beat up their wives and inflict worse injuries than this lady inflicted on the 'husband'.nansense |
