Crime › Re: PPRO Bright Edafe Reacts To The Public Execution Of Mene Ogidi In Delta State by nedekid:
Is it that this fellow as a serving policeman likely having his office in the state headquarters does not know killing happen regularly within police formations?
2015 or there about when I had reasons to frequent a CPs office complex, I remember waiting at a corner to make photocopies when there was very loud gunshot followed by a horrific scream, Omo trust my active instincts, I made to instantly takeoff, no questions asked, it was the police IPO who held me, then calmed me say no be anything say I no be man? The other police and civilians there just de laugh me say true true na run I wan run? They said na normal thing that SARS was next door and that they were interrogating or eliminating suspected criminals. So every now and then you will hear gunshots. You will hear a crying person, hear a gunshot and then silence.
So for this pro to say he cannot explain the killing is being smart by half. This police have done this regularly hence the impunity, abi was it not few weeks ago a policeman told a young man you want make we loose guard you?

2 billion dollars of debt is not extraordinary for an economy the size of Lagos.
Do you even understand who pays the debt?

You're nitpicking.

Is a 2 billion dollar debt by Lagos state unexpected?
How was Ambode able to do all he did without taking loans? It is on record that the debt was that he met from previous administrations. Note also he stopped lastma, vio etc from generating revenue for government, despite that it is glaring he did more than any other. Revenue generated by Lagos of preduntly managed makes the state not to require any loans infact it should run a surplus. Are you not aware Ambode cut all the excesses of Fashola time? I know because I had a customer who worked in Lagos ministry of finance. I knew the day he started work there. I saw the spending curve within a short space of time, Oga dude will say hello to a babe and give her 50k just to appreciate her beauty, I am not talking of now ohh when naira has spoilt, I mean during Fashola time when naira was still valuable. This guy it was alleged dropped 45m cash for his house to be built on turnkey basis, young man back them.
Guess what? Immediately Ambode came in, he knew all the loopholes and blocked it ensuring more revenue for government(abi why do you think civil servants hated him and did not want him back). Within months that guy's lifestyle changed, no more money, he has so struggle to adjust his lifestyle to his salary.
The issue is because loans are available to be taken, must government take it?
We see people here on this forum in their personal life will take sokoloan, take opay loan then start complaining when it is time to pay, if those facilities were not there wount they survive without the loan? Someone on this forum showed his opay loan limit of 2.5m few days ago, even me that does not use it have 1.3-1.5m loan offer on opay yet I live my life without taking it by cutting my coat according to my seize. What is wrong in Lagos or any other state living within its means, save for 2 years while doing only essential capital projects then saving or accumulating billions then singing the money to fund infrastructure in a sustainable way?
Two siblings got 100m each. One took 20m and bought a car, used another 10m to fix one or two things in his life, he further used another 10m to fly abroad for good time. 40m done go, he is left with 60m
The other sibling placed the whole 100m in treasury bills or FD at Eg 20% for 1 year and got 20m cash upfront. He then buys a 10m naira car, uses 5m to sort pressing issues and 5m for his own good time travels, after 1 year he still has his 100m complete while his brother has 60m.

If you will adhere to these advice, you will give yourself a lot of peace...I mean real peace
1. From this month, show payback commitment from as low as 5k or even less.
2. DO NOT WORRY ABOUT THEIR CALLS, IT DOESNT MEAN ANYTHING AS LONG AS YOU DO NO 1.
3. DO number 1 until you are able to payback comfortably. Calling them won't work at all.
4. Please, your peace is highly needed. Do number 1 and they won't even bother you
Is that the payment agreement he had with them when he took 250k? So he will borrow money, when it is time to pay he changes the agreement and starts dropping 5k. Wonderful!
If Eg he had dropped his car as collateral will he be talking all this rubbish?

My groceries I order anytime I have someone comming in, I get more when I am returning myself.
So this is basically what I ordered for just shy of £50 ie is the highest British currency as against what N1000 our highest currency can buy.

Assuming there is a fault should it not have been fixed with all urgency, abi is there grid collapse? Imagine billions of revenue that has gone to buying diesel and petrol to power generators. All the income from businesses gone, then tomorrow the tax people will come to collect money.

Politics › Re: Oseloka Obaze Replies Yul Edochie On Peter Obi's Record As Anambra Governor by nedekid: 5:59pm On Apr 24
Richtaiwo:
I still don't understand what tangible impact Pitobi had as Governor of Anambra State. What exactly can anyone point to as a lasting achievement? By many accounts, there was little of real substance to distinguish his tenure. The only controversy some people seem to recall is his decision to repatriate northerners from Anambra State, a move that remains deeply troubling to many.

Yet this is the same fraudster some illiterates now present as though he possesses some extraordinary vision for the presidency. It is astonishing that some Nigerians continue to treat political emptiness as though it were competence.
Seems you guys can never understand what it takes to build real things in a sustainable way. People have explained time without number but some of you don't get it.
What you guys want to see as development is immediate road, bridge, etc. Once a politician enters office he starts to look for money for such infrastructure, of course that is where they make money through inflated contracts. A state in debt then has to take more debt to show you guys "infrastructure". How about building this infrastructure without plunging the state into debt?
Obi entered government and met a state in debt, books in red, he cut expenses, spent on only crucial projects Eg education, very essential infrastructure Eg basic roads that will open up farmsteads or ease movement of commerce, he then vigorously cleared debt and when he stabilized the finances, removed it from red to green, the next thing was not to spend but to save to create a buffer, a pool of funds. Any people business person will know this, you have to have your capital. Ofcourse most of these politicians will claim to be successful people but all they are are briefcase contractors. They do not know what it takes to turn 1k to 2k. That you sell a product, then turn around your profit several times.
By the time Obi has stabilized the state financially, his term was up, hence you see the billions he left in the coffers of the state. Now it was left for his successor to come in, meet a financially sound state then start spending on the major infrastructure in a sustainable way Eg you have 100b savings, you spend only 40b and the build up the saving back to 100n before spending heavy again. What did obiano his successor do, he came in, saw the money and blew it all on airport etc. Airport is good to build but as I said in a sustainable way. I saw a video recently of Tony elumelu saying that if you cannot save when you have N1 you cannot save when you have more. You cannot grow without saving.
Look at naija, we removed subsidy saying we are saving trillions, we then rushed to build coastal road piling more and more debt. Why dint the government hold on for one year, clear debt, save for another 1 year, then start building the projects from savings? Naaa the easy was is igbese, take loans from every where.
In your personal life, is it when your business is not moving, you will then go and take loans to build new office claiming you will get tenants who will pay rent in the building? or you will put the money as capital in your business, turning around 10 times, then pay they debt, when your business starts turning profit you the use the profit to build your office.
Oga go and check, today Anambra is back in debt. It is on record that the only two governors thatcould manage money without adding debt is peter obi and Akinwumi Ambode. How was Ambode able to do all he did without taking igbese? He was able to cut loose expenses, corruption, block all the loopholes which the made the revenue generated by Lagos enough for him to do wonders.
