As I dey look you, you fit do worse. Talk is cheap.
See you think everyone has the same messed up moral background as some of you do? How much will someone mistakingly pay into my account that I will not look for the person and return? Me that went to slot office, bought items and the workers did not scan one of them and thus billed me lower. I got home wondering how I spent lower than I expected. I drove back to the slot office, told them their mistake and paid the balance, they were so happy saying money would have come out of their salaries. Same thing happened in petrol station 2 years ago, bought 20k fuel, paid with POS, drove off, found out my account was not debited, the attendant did not look at the printout properly, hours later on my way back I parked on the opposite ie return side of the Expressway, sent someone to go call them in the station to bring their POS machine, I paid the money, the lady was in tears with appreciation that her salary would have gone to pay back. P&g pharmacy nko, they have under billed me of 15k which I went online got phone number of the branch, informed them, they provided account and I paid.
Why will I take what is not mine? meeennn I wonder how you guys reason.

Same UK where some footballers are earning 200k £ a week?

Poverty remains a global issue 😔.
Oga in the UK will you call it poverty as compared to Eg Nigeria? Naa, it is not the same. In uk you can afford to eat good, you can drive the kind of cars celebrities drive in Nigeria, Omo, latest model Mercedes Benz, BMW, those ones that their dashboard is like iPad, the basics is available to you Eg education. But here in eg naija, you face the poverty heads on. Eg there is this young lady just turned 18 this year employed as a maid to an elderly lady, Omo you have to see how bright this young girl is, well spoken, confident, infact beyond her age. I understand her papa is ill, the mother is doing nothing and so the girls income is what is sustaining her family. Imagine! Walai that little girl is first class material. The fact is that without opportunity, her life will get wasted. Had it been she was in the uk, opportunity would have been there for her to go to school up to university level or go for training and apprenticeship in fields she has interest in.

Why not open govermen house, alawusa secretariat, ministries, police stations, local government offices, tax office etc to the public for defication of instead you want eateries, banks and private struggling businesses to take up government responsibility.

Romance › Re: Is It Appropriate To Help My Married Ex? by nedekid: 7:59am On Apr 18
Toolegit123:
Good day my Nairaland fam.

Please, matured minds in the house,is it a good thing for a man to help his ex girlfriend who's now married, financially. She used to be someone whom I loved so dearly in the past but unfortunately, she broke up with me immediately she met someone who was already asking her hand in marriage. It's been over 3 years since she got married and I made sure I cut every bit of communication between us. Out of the blue,I don't know who gave her my number. She called me,and apologized for what she did to me. Even before she could ask for my help,I already knew her husband wasn't financially buoyant like I thought. She said she wants to open a provision store ,cuz immediately after they got married, they relocated to Lagos. And she asked for my assistance.

So,I don't know if it's appropriate at all to help her, considering how she left me emotionally stranded when I needed her the most in my life. Tho I've completely moved on with my life, but receiving a call from her brought back a whole lot of memories.

Please,my fellow Nairalanders, reason with me. Should I help her out?
Oga, once you give get money she will continue to ask, you will continue to give, it's either you will give because you want to show she made a bad decision leaving you for the other guy, as in see me now, your loss! On the other hand you still have concerns about her and helping out, the problem with both of the above is that it is of no benefit to you, you are simply helping another man household with resources you should be using to plan for your future and financial stability.
Last last even when you give the first time, second too your eyes start to clear that you are just a piggyback for her with no benefit to you, she notices that and then moves it a notch further to ensure the continuous cash flow. Nacking commences.
Frankly speaking if truelly you are going to be financing her you might as well be nacking her(that is what will come), abi what is your gain, you be angel gabrel, donatus or just a cash cheerful giver?

The money should not be refunded EXCEPT WITH POLICE REPORT. So that tomorrow, she won't be dragged into what she doesn't know. It could have been a share of ransom payment or even money laundering.

To the best of my knowledge, Opay gives you like 3 opportunities to check and ascertain the account name before inputting you PIN to pay. Stories of wrong transfer on Opay really call for further probing.
Did you read the story? Go and read it again.

She has now destroyed her image with just #100,000.00. Does it mean that she is not aware of the fact that she will always be tracked? The little token of maybe #10,000.00 that would have gone to her for appreciation has just been lost. Meanwhile poverty is a bitch. It's time integrity and honestly be inculcated into our system.
Why should any 10k even go for appreciation? The right thing to do is to refund the money without any expectations.

Babawee:
We have a long way to go as a country...
a nation so dependent on imported goods down to raw materials.
The government needs to create an enabling environment where business can thrive for the betterment of all.

If we can have a balance trade - import vis a vis export, it will improve liquidity and fx in the market
Which country does not depend on importation? Besides who told you we do not export? Go all over west Africa and see out products, from Omo, to juice, beer, malt etc, same applies in Europe. Go to export terminals and see the amount of containers of finished and raw goods being exported daily. Oyel nko, are we not exporting from crude to refined products?
The same government killing industries both small, medium and large through adverse policies, policies setup by people who have never ran any business or factory. Just the electricity alone is shutting down business daily and making goods manufactured here not competitive, imagine diesel costing 2150 per liter. Taxes nko, left right and center also with multiplicity of gov agencies bringing all sorts of policies just to extract bills.

Left to me I will say Nigerians are not worth fighting for because it is the same people suffering you care for that will praise their oppressors and talk rubbish about you.
How does the fact Atiku stays in Dubai concern the issue of suffering at hand, are Nigerians not suffering?

Career › Re: When Trust Is Broken, Second Chances Can Be Dangerous by nedekid: 10:45pm On Apr 16
Tell you guy never to leave loose ends ie do not leave opportunities for people to scam you.
The current economic situation in the country means salaries for maybe 99%of the working population is not enough to sustain them. Most indulge in all sorts of side hustle or rather corruption to add to their income, where that is not possible they resort to outright stealing. Some ie the good ones among them will cut their coat to size Eg one was trekking about 5km to work in the morning to save transport cost, those that cannot manage will go into debt and have to steal their way out.
Today you must block all avenue for theft, infact if possible don't let your staff collect cash payments, Haba even FAAN recently started cashless payments in all its facilities, which was what lead to the recent heavy traffic at the airports.

Even without telling.

I was actually surprised when some mods pushed to FP. Mods really need to do better at verification of information before putting on fp.

Except they do it deliberately for traffic. But in my mind whatever information on fp should be verified information. Even if information on other sections are not as strictly verified!
Oga you guys are talking rubbish, dangote made the statement and that is a fact! Now you can argue about the context or intention of him saying that at that material time, which was that he was talking about government benefiting from creating enabling environment for businesses to thrive, that they will benefit from taxes.
But for you guys to come out boldly and claim he did not say what we watched live in TV, that is archived on the internet (that does not forget), wow, you guys need to get your "bwalacious" act together.
