Getting a garnishment against the govt isn't as easy as you think, how many times have you seen a judge give such order, you can easily get one if your case is against an individual or corporate, but against govt, it's very rare.
Na wah, then there is little hope for redress.

I don’t really know what this is about but my question is how would they get the police to pay this amount? Do they really pay?
They will pay by force. The only issue is that the police will appeal the decision, they may do that all the way to the Supreme Court which will take years and anything could happen.
If she is lucky and they don't appeal, then she can through the courts compel the police to pay. She will get a A garnishee order absolute is a final, binding court order requiring a third party (the garnishee, usually a bank) to pay money they hold for a judgment debtor directly to a judgment creditor. It represents the completion of a garnishee proceeding, meaning the debt is officially attached and must be paid.
Omo, that garnishee order na bad thing ohh, you go see where grown man de sweat inside ac. My sister was involved with a company many years ago ie a passive director, the company packed up and everyone moved on. Problem is that one of the debtor took them to court and her name was also included as defendant, meanwhile she was the living outside the country. Years later she came back to naija, one money entered her account. To access the money, no way. Watin de happen naa, she went to the bank only to be told that there was a court order blocking funds in her accounts in certain listed banks, apparently the only bank not affected was Fcmb ( guess it was not listed among the bank the claimant gave to the court). All her money in the listed accounts was seized till the judgement debt was cleared.
This is the same thing that will happen to police, army even fgn. The banks will freeze any police account holding money and the money will be given to you. Court can even give order for baliffs to go and seize property in police headquarters, lol.
As for fgn if you get order from Nigerian court, it is admissible in Eg UK, you go gbesele fgn account in uk. Imagine blocking an account holding millions of pounds over few thousands, they will quickly pay you.

President Ruto made little sense with his defence but faltered when he brought the English profiency comparison, which was not necessary. He should have stucked with economic indicators in comparing the two countries. I am sure Tinubu himself didn't know when he mentioned Kenya in his speech in Bayelsa.
Oga the other day it was the Ghanaian president, today it is that of Kenya. Ruto I am sure was not throwing shades to Nigerians as a people but to baba himself. You sef as a Nigerian don't you need interpreter to understand what baba says? Did we not have all sorts of aides, 30k keyboard worriors etc explain to us what he meant by "blablablue", what of the one of turning youth in Edo state to a "computer zalgladalda", were all sorts of translators not translating to us? Imagine if someone as impatient as Trump invites baba to white house, will you not be uncomfortable? If you had Ruto or baba to plead your case if Eg you are in heavy life threatening trouble, who will you choose between both of them?
Talking of economy, just one or two things you need to observe to know which country has serious leadership. Kenya airways is one. You as a Nigerian where is your national carrier? Oga I put it to you Nigeria is too corrupt to own a carrier. The only way it will work is if baba gives it to the chargourys, his paddy paddy where his pikin has major shares.
Electricity nko, I will say no further than I have not had electricity for 4 days streight. 1.2m plus daily on diesel. I was speaking with a friend who owns a hotel too this morning, he was just lamenting that 90% og his income was going into diesel, and he cannot turn off the Gen to rest as customers will complain, a mutual problem we both share.
Do you think in Kenya they take light for 4 days streight? Go and see videos of Iran at night despite decades of sanctions then the current bombing, the whole city if bright from too much electricity.

Parachoko:
Nigeria was borrowing to pay for subsidy before Asiwaju became the President

Under Jonathan, we were borrowing to pay Salaries, borrowing to pay for subsidy, Pension, and also borrowing to build projects

Under Buhari, we were borrowing to pay subsidy on fuel, and also borrowing to pay salaries, pensions and also borrowing to build projects

Under Asiwaju, we're not borrowing to pay pensions or salaries, we're not borrowing to pay for subsidy, we're only borrowing to spend on Capital Projects.

I expect Sanusi to know there's no problem borrowing to build capital projects
So why not use the money saved from paying subsidy to fund the capital projects?

From d look of things the man is well to do. The man caught with the woman may not be as rich as her husband. Rich men should always creat time for their wives. Money is not everything in marriage. She need your attentiion nd good knacking as well. I am very sure the husband doesn't last 5minutes in bed and that paved way for cheating in their marriage.
Even if the man last 10hrs in bed it does not stop anything. Those that will cheat will cheat and unfortunately they are in the majority. Oga the only innocent one is the one that has not been caught.

When you marry for looks only, this is what you get.

By the woman's appearance, the signs are there that she is wayward.

But some men will be like "don't judge a book by it's cover".

So you think other men no "examine them like a machine", Oboy when you marry finish the you fit talk, as of now nothing you say others have not said before.

She married a rich man but still can't stop cheating. Her excuse now will be that her husband is not active on bed grin

Babangidapikin:
A video of Muhammad Ali Pate, coordinating minister of health and social welfare, went viral in February when he told the house committee on healthcare services that his ministry got only N36 million out of the N218 billion appropriated for the 2025 capital projects. This is really bad especially for a ministry that keeps people alive. Although some people might argue that the Lagos Calabar Road is an Elephant 🐘 project, rather I see it as a project with future returns. Most people want to live by the Sea Side, although it is not a convenient project but it's okay. I think Government needs to recalibrate revenue opportunities. Block leakages, encourage the creation of more revenue generating industry especially among the GenZ's and ensure power is available and affordable. The Finance Minister did the right thing to advise Mr President, but most entrepreneurs we know prefer to focus on the goals and opportunities out there to maximise, and you agree with me that Mr President wants to run a Govepreneur .
Coastal road is should not be a high priority project, I'd rather say it should be done at slower pace while other higher priority issues are sorted out. Haba in your personal life, is it when business is slow, in debt, you are borrowing money up and down you then start building your office building and claiming it will generate revenue through eg rents or saying it will make you and your staff more comfortable? Or you cut expenses, save, clear your debt and when out of red and in green, then making profit you then decide to build the office complex or in the case of Nigeria, coastal road?
The problem we have as Nigerians is that all we want to see is road, bridge etc as signs of a government working. Yes I
it is good, but it must be done at the right time without plunging the state or country into chaos economically. Look at all the states, check you will see they are in debt, same with FGN. Only two ex governors are in record for not accumulating debt ie Peter Obi and Akinwumi ambode, go and check Anambra today, debt has started accumulating, same with Lagos despite all its trillion naira revenue.

Edo state scored so high and you have Monday okpebolo as the governor? Hmm, a classic case of the blind leading those that can see. It seems those that arguably use to be the first, those that have the most institutions of higher learning domiciled around them, the most enlightened have reduced to third place, the question is why. Some will say it is because in recent years one Oga has empowered alayes, agberos etc. They are now role models, proof that you do not need education to succeed financially. Go on facebook and see how these people are celebrated, from musicians to youth "tapping from their grace". Mc oluomo, sego, that big gold chaij wearing thug in Ogun state, kunle poly, koko zaria etc now celebrities ofcourse education will fall.
As for the fulani scoring so pow, not more is expected and that is why they are causing a nuisance all over the country maiming and killing, people that the bulk of them gloryfy staying in bush rearing and "REARING" cows.
As for those that came first, it is a shocker some including me. My first time in that part of the country was during nysc in the mid 90s at Aba, abia state, 1 had a bad impression about their attitude to education based on the teaching work I did. The principal called us coppers on our first day and told us that we go to class if it is only one student that decides to pay attention we should teach that student and leave. I wondered why he said that, not until we stated teaching. Out of the class of Eg 50 students only like 5 will sit on the front row and pay attention, the rest will be playing. One boy said why will he waste his time in school when the same time he will spend at araria market and would make cash? It was all about money. Imagine that they had cult in secondary schools.. The female students nko, they will trace coppers to their lodge for good time bringing fruits and all sorts of food. Infact I felt few years from that time that whole region will be full of illetrates, but with money. So what happened that 30 years later they are number one in the list?
Anyway, we need to take education more serious in all corners of the country.

The way some of you write trash with so much confidence leaves me in shock! So many spurious claims in this your write up. Let me claim the misinformation you are presenting. When you drop off your passport at VFS after your biometrics, your application is processed at Sheffield. Your passport is taken to the UKVI section of the UK High Commission in Abuja through DHL. After your application has been processed at Sheffield, the relay their decision to UKVI. If the application is successful, the sticker visa will be stamped on it (this was before two weeks ago). The UK High Commission sends back your passport through DHL to VFS office you did your biometrics or to your destination if you paid for courier. It is VFS that will tell you that your passport is ready for collection through a predetermined email you used in filling the form.
On the other hand, if your application is rejected, UKVI sends you an email that your application was rejected and they will state the reasons too. Less than 24 hours later, VFS sends you another email that your passport is ready for collection or your passport is sent to you if you used courier service. It is therefore false and misleading to say that there is nothing like rejection letter or that the only way you know if you were rejected is when you open the package.

You are right, I just made enquiries and conformed that email is sent telling you of denial, Guess they have updated it over the years. In the past you had to pickup your passport to know if it was successful or not. As at last year you receive an email telling you a decision has been made and you should come for pickup, I guess that means a successful application, but if denied you receive an email telling you it was denied.

Oh, I am just seeing this, so you used an agent. Fine, was it the agent that told you your visa application was rejected? If he told you that, it means he collected your package from Vfs global, he opened the package and saw your passport along with the rejection letter, there is no way you know if a visa was rejected (as at last year) without picking up your package, in that case your passport is with your agent, it means for reasons best know to him, he does not want to release it to you.
