PoliticsRe: Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu Is Dead? by NegroNtns(m): 1:14am On Jul 19, 2011
I wish the Ikemba well if he's alive and may his soul rest in peace if he's dead.

As for naming a street after him, no where in Lagos wishes to be tainted with him, not even Ajegunle.

What an insult! Will you ask Kano to name a street after Ojukwu? But its not your fault for such audacity, its Yorubas that have yielded to your nonsense and dismissed your encrOachment as just an online happyhour.

Man, I wasted time responding ti the article. I guess I should have read responses first and notice sniffers were already shouting "foul"
PoliticsRe: Airforce Base In Asaba And Warri; Uduaghan Deserve Commendation by NegroNtns(m): 11:47pm On Jul 18, 2011
Kpogede,

You are full of it! Lol. Very funny article. You do know that base is a tactical command sector right?

Since when has it become the reponsibility of a civilian governor to decide on military commands?

Even a military governor dare not arbitrarily set up a base or a tactical command post.

The responsibility of command posts, location, composition, budget and management is solely the job of defense department.

A governor can raise concern to DoD for more spending or submit grievance on a touchy issue, but never is he/she permitted to make command decisions on defense.
CultureRe: Delta Igbo, Bendel Igbo: What Does That Even Mean. by NegroNtns(m): 11:36pm On Jul 18, 2011
<Quote>Ogbuefi 1:
1) What does the name "Owa" mean ?
Owa is derived from "Owa ri onwea" which in our dialect of Igbo means " he has parted ways".This is how the name came about. Owa owns her foundation to three princes from Ute Okpu namely Odogwu, Izomor and Igbegidi. The Ute Okpu and Ute Ogbeje people were founded by  Nri people which we Anioma people call "Nhi"(in Ika dialect) or Nshi(in other Anioma dialect). These people originall settled at Ute Ogbeje but some of them led by Ijue moved westards to found Ute Okpu.During the reign of Oba Ewuare many Anioma clans were invaded by Benin forces and some of them were cajoled to join the imperial Benin army when they refocused their imperial tendencies westwards towards Yorubaland. The sons of Ijue, the founder and first Obi of Ute Okpu were involved in the wars against such towns like Akure and Owo and for many years were engaged in those wars</quote>

Ogbuefi, you are one of the reasons why I left Foreign Affairs section to concentrate in home politics and rebutt the Igbo propaganda machine.

I don't need a 5page history on your response but I need you to pay attention to your falsification of history in the above and answer to the following (1) name the war and the year that Bini fought a war with Akure and Owo or anywhere else in Yorubaland.; (2) who won the war?

Andre Uweh,

Agbotaen repeatedly has said that his people and their land was first settled by Edo people and through the missionary influence (in which oyibo favored the more subordinate Igbo tribe over the insubordinating ones like Edo, Igbo became the "house slave" and was installed the native missioner) that taught church and instructions in Igbo language, the original tongue of the land became a fluid that is now called Ika. Ika peoiple refuse to be Igbo because in their nature they have never been one beside language tutoring and subsequent Igbo settlers from the East. Their nativity is proto-Bini, but even with that admission, their destiny and social evolution had parted with that of Bini years ago to the point now that they are a distinct identity from Bini, connected only through ancient progenitors. Nonetheless, in contemporary society they are a distinct IKA people, forget language influence, forget settlement story, forget names. . . They are not Igbo, period!

You Andre is emophasizing language as a proof of their Igbo root, even after it is established that if Igbo had been more resistant and resilient and not subordinate to oyibo's mission, you never would have been the one instructing christianity and hence your language would have had no presence over the native tongue of the neighboring indigenes.

Leave Ika alone, they are not Igbo. Do you get it at all?

Man, I'm done with it!

Lol, I had composed a long full detail, addressing each aspect of your question and the whole thing is gone!

Ohh!

Anyway, Amorphous, I like your response very thought provoking and sorry I just don't feel like recomposing at moment. Look in Culture section and religion section for posts titled "who is Oduduwa"; "origin of Oduduwa"; Origin of Yorubas"; "Mysteries of the Bible", Most, not all what you asked are in these posts.

If I have the time maybe I will recompose later. Sorry!
PoliticsRe: Nairaland's Refrendum by NegroNtns(m): 10:39am On Jul 18, 2011
Why 6?

There are certain parts of the country that are integral to a regipn; ex the Western states. There are others that are frontier states, ex Kwara, Kogi, Delta.

I believe the first order of things is to ask frontier states to vote which way they are going.

Some states might need to be partitioned, ex if Delta decides going ith West, then partitions will be good.

Musiwa,

U never see the map of the metro development plan?

U should be the first person in posession. The blasting is not for mountain. They want to go underground with a rail network system, Abuja is the hub.

All sides have agreed to a facilitated negotiation to discuss history and the way forward.

Oyb,

I don't doubt your point.

My rhetoric is aimed at media, particularly print media. They seem to be everywhere picking stories and revealing information, but are they also asking questions in a follow up as this case definitely warrants, whichever the dice rolls - regardless that ownership is accounted for or not?
