Naija, How is your demeanour when in public or in a party of people? People respond to discerned magnetism. Magnetism is a aura put out by your personality and is radiated outward into the sorroundings. It can be soft. . . and it could be intense! Which one do u have? Do u know? |
Bibi, You are correct and Im not sure its too late to do. Nothing is too bad to fix. . .sometimes we just need to match the problem to the appropriate resource. Naija and Beaf are with you on the need to safegueard traffic, anonymity, content and channell. It might not immediately appear so but the moderators and the owner read board posts. . . its a worthy initiative but then its their discretion to assess the resources and deploy the matching solutions for those concerns. Direct action from the people back to the rulers and sharing with them how their policies impact us is a good way to regain the democratic process and start to clean up Aso Rock and other State Capitals. People have given Fashola lots of credits for what he is doing. . . but that's what he was elected to do. We now need to feedback to the others that they are not doing what they were elected to do and there are people waiting in the wings to replace them and get it done. . . .people endorsed by the Nairaland community! |
Not too long ago one of the members here started a post in quest for new ideas on how we can use this forum to influence political action in Abuja and all across the country. Though nothing concrete in proposal was drawn out of that, nonetheless it was a good start. We need to congregate our voices against a common problem. The problem of political idiocracy in Nigeria. The issues that tear us apart at the community level is fed downward from bad and incompetency leadership on top. To change that and bring about a new horizon in our national conscience we at the community level need to feed upward to the leadership our demands for change. The demand carries with it a consequential outcome for the politician's career. Lets start a political action committee from here. Any thoughts? |
Negro Ntns,Hey, I understand, you are excused!I cant address ya post cos I cant understand it. Its too incoherent. Im not being rude, you're just going off on an incongruent tangent.BTW, one of the key criticisms the Republican congressmen made of Geithner was his implementation of stricter regulation so I dont know what you are talking about. ![]() |
You gotta spend to get out of recession. Keynesian stimulus and Quantitative easing are the nuclear options when all efforts to increase the money supply fail. FFS, what do you think the Fed is doing everytime they decrease interest rates. They are telling you that it is not profitable to put your money in the bank (cos interest rates are so low), and that you should go out and spend your money to help revive the economy.Wow! I can't believe my eyes! For the first time in all the times I have witnessed you discuss Keynesian theory, you make sense with the highlight. . . keyword being "when all efforts to increase money supply fail". Going back to 08/09, was there a need to increase money supply? I say no. The underlying problem was not the flow and exchange of credits but rather the intrinsic lack of trust with the mismanagement of investment products. Investment managers were making profits whether or not their speculations were hitting the target. You place risk in favor of a product turning profitable and then turn around and insure your risk against the product not generating returns. Profitable or not, net - net you get paid. . . but the guy whose money you invested in the risk has only one chance in the odds, its unfortunate for him if the product failed in the market. The correct implementation would have been for the government to introduce regulations and restore credibility and trust. . rather they patched the problem with Keynesian theory. As it is, the root problem has not been isolated and we see it in the way the banks and investment managers are reinventing themselves to dodge the rules. Geithner failed to control them when he was in NY, he still hasnt clamped down on them now that he is in DC and with a far more superior authority for institutional penalties, including possible jail time for violators. |
These Economists on the other hand tells us that we have to spend our way out of a recession and a deficit. How in God's name does that make sense. What was that theory again. . .?? Oh yeah, now I remember, Keynesian!! Geithner was touted as "THE MOST QUALIFIED MAN FOR THE JOB". It has become apparent that Geithner is "THE MOST INCOMPETENT MAN FOR THE JOB". This is not a witch hunt. . .the guy was the President and CEO of a Federal Reserve Bank under whose jurisdiction the widespread malpractices on Wall Street were allowed to multiply and spread. . . he endorsed them and refrained from throwing regulations at the investment companies, even when it became known that their excesses were intolerable and they needed to be capped. He is as worse running the economy as Rumsfeld was running defense. Kick him out! |
How does a Chief Justice die on top of a woman?? ![]() Can you give it more clarity please. . . |
Bullshit!! First, internet robots are programmed with an array of codes in their templates. They are built to respond to sequencing. If you understand how process map works and you have a number generator. . you can bypass a "bot". This is what hackers use to break codes and crash firewalls. Bots listen to human language and hexadecimal inputs. . . so that if I say the Yoruba word "BAWO NI", it will understand and respond to it as coded in its template. If I say the Eno word "BAGA AGA WOGO NIGI INGI", it will give that a different response than it did the first. Both words confer the same meaning and demand the same response in human. . . but in a BOT. . they are not the same and must not be given the same response and output. Saboteurs are too sophisticated to leave their plots vulnerable and accessible by a BOT. I stopped the video at the point where it said the collective unconscious human interaction and chatter is producing data that were used to predict the event of 9/11. What a bullshit!! It will be waste of time listening to the rest! You can predict conscious impulses. . .human development is not advanced to a stage where the unconscious voice can be tabulated and predicted. Tell that conspirator to shove that fuckery up his ass! |
Knowledge can be taught. . .Values cannot be taught, they are inbred. Palin has the values but what she lacks in knowledge can be acquired over time and with the right exposure. She has declared that one does not need to hold an office to influence change. That is a powerful statement! I concur with you . . . It will no longer suffice for opponents to simply dismiss her as irrelevantPalin is installing herself, with success, to be the King/Queen maker for Republicans. She will be the vetter and a Republican does not get elected without first getting her endorsement. All those who doubt her . . .Wait & Watch! |
it may interest you to know that those two wise men in virginia and new jersey politely rejected her presence to thier campaignPalin works with the grassroot far better than she does on the podium and I think thats where you missed the point. Her absense on the podium was translated into footwork pushing conservatives to the polls. You see. . .her efficacy to topple an election is being under-estimated. 2010 is almost here . . . you will be shocked at the outcome. You think her book release is an isolated event. . . think again! |
she has been a blessing for barack. imagine NY 23, a district the democrats have never won since 1852, she came in and gave it to the democrats free of chargeIts better to reform the party into its core conservative ideals early on, at the cost of a district election, than to win an election and reinforce the dilution of the party with moderates. Democrats are fearful of repeating 1996. . . |
Even for me who likes Sarah Palin a lot (but please don't run for president) this recent hysteria is nauseating and is on par with the Michael Jackson mania few months ago. They say they hate her, she's dumb and stupid and poses no threat as a candidate since she has no real grasp on politics and can see Russia from her backyard - YET - they cannot stop talking about her, cannot stop covering her every move and word.mmmmuuah! At a place and time where the "dumb" and "stupid" Palin is transforming the political landscape, where her direct influence caused a moderate republican to loose election that was at the begining favored to her. . .and gave victory to the contenders in both New Jersey (a Democrat home base) and Viginia elections, one has to wonder if her critics truly understand the meaning of dumb and stupid. The woman is seeking political credits, not institutional schorlarship. . . so far with her maneuverings she has proven very adept and shrewd. Those yet to line up behind her presidential aspiration are doing so in response to mainstream criticism. . .and not because of their desbelief in her capabilities to be a President. If mainstream change its view. . .those individuals will likewise fall in line behind mainstream. Again, . . the case of the shepherd and the sheep! |
both sides are full of shit.BOTTOM LINE! |
Yes Obama is just a figure head (as Bush before him was. . .) representing the real owners of America. . . But please what does extraterrestrial have to do with it.Thanks no2! This merits no revelation. I roll with theorists, this dude here is nothing close to it. In fact. . you know what, bring your revelation, I have a counter and convincing position to debunk it. |
lmfao. . . you should get an award for that Ezi. Nice humor ![]() |
Thanks but no thanks.Iice, ban this guy from further participation in NL! The use of explicit visuals in NL is a violation of section 4, subsection (ii), paragraph (d) of the third clause in the amendment dated 08/12/2009. Wooo, 34DD, got me drooling for a minute! |
I differ completely with your view and I do wish to dispute your recall of the cosntituional demands. The constitution stated unambigously that any power not clearly designated is left open to be interpreted. The power of sovereignty and submissive courtesy is clearly designated and cannot be openly interpreted by the President. It says the US is not a subject of any foreign dominion or territory. POTUS, in bowing to foreign heads of state is yielding to a foreign dominion. . . akin to the African custom of yielding to higher authority by bowing in salute. |
Naijababe, I am not sure the dates have anything to do with what you are seeing here. Igbos have refused to take accountability for why the civil war happened or for that matter that their losses in the aftermath had anything to do with political events in the East and mismanaged by Easterners. They are yet to heal from the pain and agony of the war. . . many of them have ended up in America and given their new found exposure in political struggles are starting to equate their situation to that of a "victimized" people. . . meriting recognition accorded the victims and survivors of holocaust. To that end, they have a new awakening! Tracing their ancestry to Jews. . . grabbing at straws within the cultural remnants of slavery to draw empathy. Some have gone as far calling for petition to UN to declare that they were victims of human rights abuse and that certain elements. . .Awolowo and others. . . ought to be tried for war crimes. They have all kind of nonsense out there that detail everything that has been done to them. . . but not one of what they have done to themselves. Bottom line is they need to heal and take the lessons of their mistakes to correct their steps going forward. Chronological attributes of 1800s, 1930s, 1950s will not help their healing. They need full account, within and without to purge the pains in the soul and the psyche. |
Una still dey here? ![]() |
My friend, I dont know where you currently live but I would like to remind you that the highest authority in the US is the constitution. . . not the President. In the preambles of the constitution it is clearly outlined that the US sovereignty as represented in the chair of the Presidency is not a subject of any foreign dominion or territory. There is no problem showing respect . . . bowing the way he did is typical of African customary traditions in the way a younger man would greet an elder or a person of lesser authority would yield to one in a higher position. Though of African extraction, his duty as an American President must not be confused with his sentiments for cultural heritage. Besides. . . the two monarchs he has so far bowed to do not in their own customs lean deep to show respect or salute authority. First, Arabs forbid bowing to another human being. . .you bow only to Allah! Second, the orientals have a shoulder bow and not a waist bow. Your defense of his action is misplaced! |
You are sooooooo lost. take off your shades to get the real pictureWell, show me the way. Whats the real picture? |
what a fuck_ery! ![]() |
I don't know if I should ask again but what is the purpose of this question?lol. . . you have jumped at every question so far with no need for clarity. . . until this question came up. Suddenly you have amnesia. Negro throws Eze under the train. ![]() |
It never takes long for this list of accomplishments to show up on these threads. You never question the conscience of your political and military leaders. . . always quick to probe the motive of the rivals'. The more you probe the longer the list gets. |
The sole immediate British interest is to bring the [Nigerian] economy back to a condition in which our substantial trade and investment can be further developed."Dude, you gonna make me throw you under the fuck_ing bus with your retard responses. Why was it not their remote interest from about 1860 till 1960 . . . 100 years of occupation? Why did it suddenly dawn on them that Nigeria should be developed? . . .and they sold you that Fanta and Gala, you grinned and said thank you Sir for helping my nation develop! Stop that nonsense! |
Ask Major Adewale Ademoyega, he is more qualified than me to answer you.I did not expect more. . . that response is predictable! What response do you have for Azikiwe's conscience (. . .or lack of)? |
On what basis is Zik weak to the rival? Somebody who won an election right under the rival's nose? The victory was his reward for supporting the colonialists against what they arrogantly called "Awolowo's impudence". A consolation prize for joining the coalition against Awo. Have you ever wondered why the North would win an election that was heavily tipped against their customs and demography? At the time of election the West had scored multiple breakthroughs in social developments - Through the political activism of Mrs Tinubu and later of Mrs Ransome Kuti (Fela's mom), the disenfranchisement of Yoruba women in politics had brought them the right to vote and seek electoral post. This was a time when Northern women, by custom, . . .was taboo for them to be seen outside unless in company of their husband. TV and Radio broadcasting was everywhere in Yorubaland. . . Every major Yoruba city had one or more newspaper publication. . . Ibadan was the single most populous sub-saharan African city. If you add all these together. . . it is questionable and deserved a review that Awolowo did not in fact win the election. The coverage was on his side. . .the population and demography was onhis side . . . the political awareness and activism for both genders were playing in his favor. |
The British.Oh yeah, I forgot! The British did. . . they woke Lord Lugard from his grave to lead their mutiny. Thanks for aiding my memory. ![]() |
So how am I expected to love somebody who defended his people to my own detriment? Little wonder then that Awo has no respect outside Yorubaland. Zik is even more loved in Yoruba than a million Awo in Igboland. Zik also had no problem with the North, unlike Awo. I doubt if you can find any Igbo man that loves Awo.What a speculation! Of course rivals desire for their opponents to be weak and appealing. I dont like when I face a rival with strong personality like myself. . .thats not a mystery that Awo was hated in the East. He is a strong leader for the rival. Zik is loved in the West because he is a weak leader for the rival. Nonetheless, You did not address the political conscience. . I want you to do that in your response. Here it is again. . . Where was ZIK and why was he silent? I am yet to hear Igbo question the action of Zik. I am thankful to Awo for proclaiming and defending the Yoruba identity, to the detriment of other tribes. Thats what a leader of a people is supposed to do. If your leader did not do that on your behalf, shame on him. |
