My chances looks slimmer with each passing day, not called up yet for medical. January 2nd looks very unlikely.... applied since 21 September . Have anyone passed through this situation before? Does anyone have an idea of what to expect? I'm just agitated

bro birth cert isn't an issue, go to population census an get a new one back dated, u don't need to proof as an uncle, u are applying wit him as ur dad, I guess his more den 25years older den u ( admin pls 4gv me for writing dis out here I'm supposed to pass dis info thru contact secretly but don't 've his control, pls delete after somedays bro )

OK listen... Both documents form parts of requirements that makes a complete application!!..

Cic states clearly that you should submit a police clearance certificate for countries you have stayed for over 6 months in the recent past.
It is also required that you submit birth certificates of your spouse and children... "Even if they are not applying with you"

Notes: however..... i have not heard of anyone that was rejected for not submitting birth or police certificates

Your application may only take much more time than necessary if you submit an incomplete application!
So... take your chances but it's always better to fulfill necessary requirements.

same surname dats nice, apply as he or she is ur biological parent's and not as family friend as u stated above.

Police report isnt required for online route. go ahead with your application.

@Emma are u sure additional document can't b upload after submission, well no p if u say so i really can say much on dat bro, but I guess dat online route is supposed to 've a place for additional document, but 4 d police clearance is a required document of d CIC weda online or not my broda.

yes it is compulsory u add ur police clearance, it among d CIC documents needed on dere list but since u ve limited time and u don't 've d police clearance jst go on wit d rest of ur documents since u ve started, and u can run d police clearance next week and upload, since u are using online route.

I got medical call up on the 19th of December, applied online 26th of Sept. However i called Q-life which is highly recommended but they were fully booked till 28th of Dec. So i decided to use Consultant Practice @ikoyi. Pls hw fast are they? I'm been positive that i can get my TRV before January 2
Note: I'm going for winter and I'm to pay my fees by 4th January.

consultant practice is fast too, dere response to d CIC after ur med is wit in 3 to 5 working days.

Good day everyone. Please i need your asistance on my case. I applied to centennial college and got admision for a diploma program.Then I was requested to pay 2,300 CAD to get my offer letter which i did. I applied fot my visa on 4-11-16 at VFS in lagos. But my school has sent a mail to me for the complete payment of my tuition fee which i am yet to pay becos of this dollar kpalava. My question now is that, will the payments of my tuition affect the embassy decision on my visa approval? 2, is it possible for my visa to be approved before my date of resumption? Resumption date is 23-01-2017. Please i need your advice.

it depend on ur admission letter u submitted to d CIC, if such date was indicated for d completion of d payment it might come to play but if not pls don't worry over it all will b well bro.

I don't know if this is normal. A decision has been made on my application for over a week now. When I track, it tells me being processed at Accra. I called VFS they said my application is still being processed. I sent mails to Accra, no response.

I guess it's normal, a decision can b made wit out been despatch immediately, U can still track VFS site let's say by Thursday or Friday. success

Thanks everyone my application has been approved. I got the mail today. Paper route Nov 17,medical mail December 9, medical done December 14. Medical passed December 17. Approval mail today. Am grateful to almighty God, my parent,my hubby,my family and u guys here. Going for may/ june.

bro dis isn't somtin to b upset abt, instead u ve to rejoice, and for people's view towards ur app, I don't see it as discouragement rather people tryin to help with dere different view or opinion, Trv approve for PGC is somtimes totally by Grace and not Grade, I no same with other's but Diploma, PGC and PGD call for a higher one oh my bro. still in line wit d point it was people's view and wasn't to discourage u bro. congrats and success in ur endeavours ahead.

Dear all, I'm really sorry to derail the thread but i just thought to ask for your prayers for a friend who told me about this thread, since we are a family here. Her moniker here is chrissybaybee. She had an operation for appendicitis shortly after she received her TRV. I never even knew until I saw a mutual friend of ours today who told me about it. I kept on wondering where she was because she wasn't picking her calls & replying to her whatsapp & text msgs & then her phone was switched off completely. I thought she had travelled. The last time I saw her was at coldstone creamery, ikeja and we got talking. I told her about my visa stuff & she told me to go on nairaland 'traveling to Canada' & also watch out for michV, mikymiko, thesoj & all. She said she just got her TRV through the help she received here & above all God & was planning to book her flight. Please I ask that you all pray for speedy recovery for her so she can go live her Canadian dream. I think her school resumes in January. Thank you.

Good evening people. Is it advisable to do upfront medicals? If you are later refused a visa can you still link it when you are applying again. I dont pray for that though, just making findings

it take 7 working days from d CIC dispatch to vfs, so if it up to 7days since u saw dat on d cic site den track ur vfs numb again, but if it not upto you can start counting.

yea bro u can submit ur documents without including ur pp, u will b gvin a form @ d vfs centre which u will fill and has a place for u to indicate such intension, and go back wit ur pp. ur pp will b requested for wen needed thru ur mail. success

U did upfront med okk, but did u receive any mail from CIC, check ur inbox very well if it not dere den all it not well

How long till I get my processed passport? What does it mean?

7days working hrs delivery latest, so by Friday comin week ur app is ready for collection at d vfs office Lagos.

Person wan go Canada, you dey talk unilag, i am sure he/she has performed risk analysis on this issue, to have tried twice and yet getting ready to refire for the third time no be play at all. My advice is for him/her to get more valid sponsors whose SOA fit make VO quit him job.
He/she would be able to cope over there once he/she gets there. I personally know people (undergraduates) that are managing that way. Especially if you go to Waterloo engineering program, u'll use 2 yrs out of ur 5 yrs in co-op. At the end of the day, to pay tuition go be beans. The only problem will be how to remain an hopo samien for the first year.

travel history has sometimes b part of d reasons aline by d VO's, but it really not d cause of d delay, purpose of visit can b d May reason( may b u pick a course not in line wit ur previous course of study & u neva detailed it out, d reason revolves around d course or degree )
