The late Commissioner for Infrastructure, Engr Fidelis Nweze was the brain behind Umahi's infrastructural magic in Ebonyi State. A very hardworking Commissioner and sound Engineer. RIP Sir |
Prof. Charles Soludo is the most qualified candidate for the forthcoming Anambra Guber election. Others should wait for him to place Anambra on the path of economic transformation . With his vast experience in economic management and as a Consultant to World Bank, IMF, ADB and other International monetary Agencies, Prof. Soludo's administration will revamp the economy of Anambra State. It is high time we began to leave the stage for technocrats to fix things, other than managing the so-called career politicians who have nothing to offer other than looting. |
Pass11:Thank you very much for the information. Please will it have any effect on the recruitment apart from they delay? |
Ombudsman1:The whole thing is tiring. Same with Federal Polytechnics. I heard it's IPPIS issue, but is it supposed to take this long before it can be resolved ? Why is it affecting only educational institutions? I have been expecting an APL as a teaching Staff from one of the Federal Polytechnics in the east since March. The whole thing is so worrisome. |
DanIduh06:Please, are Polytechnics also affected? |
We are facing more threatening situation in Nigeria than Tacha Saga. Let Buhari apologize to Nigerians and resign. Buhari is a punishment to Nigeria. The worst President ever liveth. Nigeria has never been divided along ethnic and religious lines like this. Who will pay the loans that runs into trillions of naira Buhari has borrowed so far? Nigeria has been declared a failed State. Bubu must go! |
The way Nnamdi Kanu insults people is quite provocative. You want to be my leader with this kind of attitude? You will be worse than Idi Amin of Uganda ,if given the opportunity. Nnamdi Kanu should get manners. He should stop saying my People are foolish except if he is the highest fool. |
Please any information on Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Unwana, Afikpo, Ebonyi State recruitment? |
Yorubas are naturally fetish in nature. If you are selling groundnut on the street and a Yoruba person is your competitor, don't be surprised he/she is already visiting Babalawo just to have a higher market share. |
The powerful influence of Late Abba Kyari in this Buhari's regime was so worrisome that some people rejoiced when the news of his death filtered the air. Lat Abba Kyari was so powerful that many Nigerians described him as Nigeria's de-facto President. Now Abba Kyari is dead and another DEVIL in the person of Abubakar Malami has emerged. Malami does not only wield powerful influence in the presidency, but he is also very corrupt, as many investigations have indicted him severally on how he cornered billions of naira from repatriated loots. So, between ABBA KYARI and MALAMI, who do you think is the bigger devil? |
Kingdemu:Ï thought as much immediately thé new Governing Councils were constituted. As far as thé whole recruitment exercise will not be cancelled outrightly, lets keep hope alive. Though there is every possibility of dropping some names to accomodate the new candidates. |
Adamayinla:I am equally interested in this topic. This is almost 4 months I have been waiting for appointment letter from a Federal polytechnics in the east. I don't really know what is the problem. |
The current delay in issuance of APLs by Universities and Polytechnics is becoming worrisome. Is IPPIS the only issue or there is another thing they are not telling us? This is common in almost all Federal universities and Polytechnics in Nigeria. |
With the amount of money that is entering Lagos State, this kind of project is not supposed to be in the news at all. Most roads in Lagos State are so terrible that even Okada can hardly pass them. Upon the money Lagos State government is making from Ijegun Depot in Satellite town, Oriade LCDA, you will weep for people living in that axis. It is so terrible that People are abandoning their homes and businesses in that area because of bad road. |
That is why I will never advise a fresh graduate to come to Lagos in search of job when you don't have a decent place to stay with free food. You will end up wasting your years in Lagos with hand-to-mouth work. Presently, Lagos is living on past glory. It only favours secondary school leavers, who are staying with their parents and can collect 15k job in Alaba International Market, Trade fair complex, Balogun Market, Ladipo Market , Computer Village as Sales girl/boy. The jobs are there for them. But for a graduate, look for something to do on your own, make contacts for Federal Government jobs and pray to God for divine intervention. As for you OP. As far as you a graduate, it is wrong to think you have nothing to show. Some of your mates are still writing carry overs in school. You can still receive a call for a job that will surpass those that have been working for years. It is called grace. |
1. Epileptic power supply (if your business is power dependent) 2. Bad location These two factors are the greatest threats to start up businesses in Nigeria. I nearly ran mad when i started my first business. My total income was going to fueling the generator for the first year. So, if you are starting a business and you have the cash, do yourself a favour by renting your office in a good location, even if the remaining capital is not enough for the running cost, with time, you break even and ultimately start making profit. However, if you think you want to save cost and rent an office/shop inside street, where there is no human /vehicular traffic, you will end up wasting your years there without recovering your start up capital. From my little experience though! |
Is there any hope that this IPPIS issue will be resolved before end of the year. I just heard that FG set up a Committee in March this year to look into the lapses, but no time frame was given for them to submit their report. Please those who are privy to information regarding the IPPIS issue should tell us. |
Nwanyiogwashi:Thanks Ma, this has rekindled my hope. Ï nearly gave up after waiting for months since I submitted my CV to a Rector of one the Fed Polytechnics through à Senator without any news up till date. Ï just pray the IPPIS issue Will be resolved soonest. |

Another fat lie from APC controlled Bureau of Statistics. |
A litre of A-Z oil that was sold for N1,000 in my area is now N2000 A litre of Martex oil that was sold for N800 in my area is now N1600 A litre of Hadex oil that was sold for N800 in my area is now N1,500 Plug that was sold for N150 is now N300 We move! |
That Uturu - Okigwe road is a very terrible terrain. Each time I am passing through that road, I always pray for God's mercy. The road is so narrow with multiple corners and a deep valley. The road needs expansion or dualization. |
Ademoore07:Be specific. Mention the Polytechnic because apart from IPPIS, which is a general issue, some schools have their peculiar challenges with respect to the recruitment. I know Oko Poly and Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic Unwana, Ebonyi State collected CVs within the period you mentioned. |
Anybody that has information concerning Akanu Ibiam Federal Polytechnic, Afikpo in Ebonyi State recruitment should please share it. Is the reconstitution of new Governing Council responsible for the delay or has the recruitment exercise been put on hold? |
Tabawababy:The Chairman can get you a job in the School, but comparing a Polytechnic Rector and the Board Chairman is like comparing a University Vice Chancellor and a Pro Chancellor. The Rector is the Baba in this regard. He can allocate some slots to the Chairman. In terms of hierachy, the Board Chairman and Pro Chancellor in Poly and Uni respectively are higher, but in terms of administration and who gets what, the Rector and the VC are the Boss. |
MaziOkoro:In this case, you better look for a top politician from Ebonyi State that will send your CV to him instead (my candid advice, from my experience). He is close to Sen. Anyim Pius, Senator Michael Ama Nnachi , Hon. Idu Igariwe and Hon. Livinus Makwe. His name is Barr. Afemefuna Osi from Ivo Local Government Area. |
Ademoore07:Please I am also interested in this. Meanwhile, what qualification and years of experience will get you Lecturer II? I am equally expecting APL from a Federal Poly and I have Msc degree with over 7years industrial experience. |
Nwanyiogwashi:2020? What is now the fate of some us who are expecting APLs from Federal Universities and Polytechnics? Any hope this year? |
We are waiting for you and your Drug baron husband to come and campaign. That will be the beginning of the end. |
Evil men who do not care about the welfare of the masses. Two corrupt wicked souls. |
