Please who knows when the embargo on recruitment in Federal Universities and Polytechnics due to IPPIS issue will be lifted ? It is close to 2 years now son of man has been waiting for APL from a Federal Poly to no avail.

Worse still is that enough efforts aren't being made for the embargo to be lifted. Those affected (new and aspiring staff like ourselves) don't have the power to do anything. Those with the power (Professors, ASUU, etc) are not even interested in IPPIS in the first place.
We are all left at the non-existent mercy of this government.

It is very unfortunate.

I know someone who has been expecting APL from a federal university since last December, though through a connect. The university people keep telling "the connect" that his boy will be called "soon". My guess is that they are waiting for the embargo on IPPIS to be lifted first.
My question though: Are those ones not captured still going to work everyday? If no, then when they are eventually captured, will they still be paid the backlog salaries from the date of posting?

I am equally facing similar situation, though mine is a Federal Polytechnic. I have been getting assurance that we would be called but nothing till date. And the school carried out a massive staff promotion late last year. This IPPIS is messing up a lot of things

It is obvious you are not getting the point here. Nobody is talking about the rate of employment in Federal Universities and Polytechnics in the country. The discourse centers on the fact that these institutions are not recruiting at all even when other Agencies of government are employing.

But many Agencies and ministries in Nigeria are still employing people on daily basis or is the economic problem only affecting Universities and Polytechnics?
Many Agencies have been issuing appointment letters since last year except Federal government academic institutions, yet many Staff of Federal Universities and Polytechnics are retiring in droves. Who then fills the gap?

The Electoral bill is a just a battle for supremacy between Governors and Senators. Indeed, most governors have the final say in who gets their party's ticket during indirect primaries in their home states. More reason Senators are fighting for survival especially those who are not in their state Governor's good book. It is about personal interest and nothing more.

Budget for 2021 Fiscal year has been extended till March next year. Will 2022 approprietion bill be signed and implemented, when 2021 budget is still running ? I am just asking ooo because I don't understand these forward and backward policies in Nigeria.

For those who are accusing the person that recorded the video why he did not rescue the deceased, are you guys blind to see that the guy was sitting in a dangerous position. Any attempt to hold him at that moment would have resulted in both the guy and the rescuer falling inside the lagoon. So unfortunate he died that way.
At the same time, I condemn early marriage in its entirety. Imagine blaming the parents for not taking care of a married man, when he is supposed to be taking care of his parents. If you have a means of livelihood, you can marry anything you want, otherwise, why rushing into marriage at such early stage. Such depression would have been avoided if he did not have a family to cater for at the age of 25 years without tangible means of sustenance, considering the perilous times we find ourselves orchestrated by evil old men who call themselves leaders.

Firs did board meeting this week and they also rounded up all matters related to promotion today,firs staff promotion list was released for all cadres today in Headquarter and all Firs Msto's across the federation.
And the promotion matter has been the one delaying the distribution of Apl,those Apls has been ready and printed for long.
Any moment from now,anything can happen because nothing is delaying them anymore but even if the Apl is distributed I doubt if chairman will want the newly recruit to resume this December,he will want to start paying the salary of the newly recruit by January.

Please does issuance of APL usually come after Staff promotions. There is a Higher Institution I have been expecting an APL since April this year. They just issued massive promotion letters to their Staff 2 months ago. But since then, nothing has been heard about issuance of APLs up till date. Is it possible the school would carry out such massive promotion without employing new Staff, even when they collected CVs?

The first time I noticed Malami's incompetence was the day he held a conference after his Panel's investigation on Nnamdi Kanu. I was shocked to behold a Senior Advocate of Nigeria struggling to read a prepared speech.
I mean, a SAN struggling to pronounce some English words. That was the day I knew it is finished.

Nnamdi Kanu should change his modus Operandi in this agitation. Using extreme force has been counter-productive. Our people are dying on daily basis and the negative economic consequences are biting harder. Kanu should do away with some of his followers, who are using the current struggle to pour out their frustration through violent means. Cultists, street guys etc now see this as an opportunity to destroy and bring everyone to their level.
That Simon Ekpa is another evil who wants to destroy South East all the way from Finland. He contested an election in Finland and won, now he is living large over there, while dishing others to kill and destroy.
Simon Ekpa's plan is to keep putting Nnamdi Kanu in bad light through unknown gunmen, so that Kanu will remain in custody, while he reigns as the supreme leader. This is power play.

Yes, the Fedral government has placed an embergo on civil service recruitment. The highest schools can do at this point is to issue you APL's. But unless the embergo is lifted, you can not proceed to documentation which in its self is another issue with the IPPIS ASUU have rejected and have recommended the University Transparency and Accountability system UTAS. It's one of the 7 problems the strike threats are about .

Please, do Federal Polytechnics also have loggerhead with FG over IPPIS or is it only Universities ?

Only discerning minds will understand that there is a power tussle in IPOB now. Simon Ekpa wants to hijack IPOB from Nnamdi Kanu. He is the one organizing these attacks to make sure FG doesnt release Nnamdi Kanu.
Some online brats will not understand this other than to attack me.

Yes, the school will kick off between January and March. The Provost, Registrar and Bursar are already on ground.

The promotion list for officers on SLG 14-15, SLG 15-16, SLG 16-17 was published on the 3rd of November 2021 for all the ministries under FCSC and will take effect from 1st of January 2022.

Let’s be optimistic and positive in our taught that the future is bright comes the beginning of 2022 for the applicants seeking to be recruited all that will receive APL from November to December 2021 that all will commence with their documentation on or before the beginning of next year and resume office immediately with the newly promoted staffs.....

Please, a higher institution I have been waiting for their APL since April also issued massive promotion letters to many of their Staff last month. Does promotion of existing Staff always come with new employment ? I am just being curious please.
