Miniskirt:Disengage as soon as possible, it will be unfair to lead her on for years only to dump her later. If you let her go now, she can find someone who can cope with her behaviour. |
It is long overdue. |
The result of having a power-hungry ancestor rule a country in this modern time. |
This won't fly, the accuser won't have chosen to be anonymous if these claims were true. Stephanie we know but who is the faceless andelasmith ? A paid agent ? |

I read the comments too, I can tell you that I am more worried about Nigerians justifying the acts as we see on this tread, than the stigmatisation by the whites. |
Slimchase:Your ignorance is alarming. It is your types that sold their fellow africans as slaves just for a piece of mirror. The foolish slave traders thought they were doing good like you think, but unfortunately, they were destroying their own future just as your yahoo friends are doing. |
It is always a good thing to read about women who consider themselves as humans and not properties to be owned. |
Activa:Please stop the quotes, I don't engage with trolls. |
Merely looking at the ratio of male to female for the top ten most populous countries, it can be seen that 5 of them making a total population of 3.2 billion people(42% of world's population) have more males than females. I think that is instructive enough if you wish to dig deeper into the data. It is about whether there are excess women ready for marriage or not. And the answer is that clearly, there are.If your claim was that there are excess of women ready for marriage, then you didn't need to bring in miscarriage and genetic disorders as being ready for marriage is a matter of finance and mental capability and not being just alive. I am sure most posters who quoted you wouldn't have done so had you limited your argument to women "ready for marriage" as against women in general. You compare publications with real life experience and local surveys/research. For example, in Nigeria where there are supposed to be 3 million excess men, many in the North marry multiple wives, not rare in SW either. Why are there still so many women at Shiloh looking for men? Why are so many women still willing to marry a polygamous man? Why are some women complaining of no man? It is not enough to say they are looking for rich men or are fussy. Many cannot even find any man to tie down.Appearance may be deceiving, that is why opinions hold no water in scientific circles, real life experiences are subjective at best and they merely express a shallow observation of events. Many women at shiloh isn't a matter of numbers of men that are alive but the number of men who are desirable as marriage partners and also the unbalanced pressure on women to get married fast. The dynamics of marriage for females can never be compared to that of males as there are so many moving parts which does not apply to the male folks. I have graduated for sometime and I can tell you that 90% of my male course mates are still not married and some wish they were, will I be right to conclude that there are more males than females ? Of course not. A more balanced statement would have been that: given the same age range in early adulthood, females tends to be more interested in getting married than their male counterparts for obvious reasons. Not that there are more females than males. |
Activa:What a rhetorical question! God did it of course. |
realestniggah:Mary was the wife, she was impregnated without her consent. |
The gurads didn't lie, they stated what happened which is that the zealot follower of jesus took the body away. It is more likely that the disciples will bribe the guards than the chief priest bribing them because they have more to lose if the body remained in the tomb. |
baby124:Don't mind him, he knew that it is easy to fool most Nigerians as they won't bother to cross-check his claims and I wasn't surprised that he got many likes. |
AreaFada2: Miscarriages happen mostly because as the foetus develops, defects in vital organs (brain, heart, kidneys, etc) make it incompatible with life. The defects can have various causes like teratogenic medication, chemical exposure, radiation exposure, drug abuse/addiction, etc. This point is irrelevant as more live males are born than females in every country in the world, https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_sex_ratio No wonder we Africans are so much in the dark.Another point which adds nothing to the discussion, one would expect that a self-acclaimed scientifically sound individual will know how to state his fact without muddling up the water. Check census figures for countries and see the breakdown by gender. In light of comments that followed this piece since it was posted 6 days ago, breakdown by gender includes the age ranges (especially one in which reproductive age is covered at 15 to 64).Another blatant misrepresentation, all birth-ratio statistics points to the fact that more male are born than female, yet you try to confound birth ratio with survival rates of the sexes. That we have a lower number of male to female at age range 15-64 in some countries does not mean their are more female births. Even at the age range of 15 to 64 , 60% of countries in the world have an equal or higher male to female ratio dealing another blow to your point. Anyway, I am not writing to convince you. I'm writing for those scientifically minded/progressive people silently reading here. Those that would actually go and find out about what I have mentioned here. While you may be conversant with scientific research, you should realise that inferences made from data is as important as the data itself and educating less-informed folks with the right information should carry more weight than scoring a point. |
neoOduduwa:Charm is a physical item which has a physical effect that can be explained by physical laws, this is different from spiritual mumbo jumbo that charm enthusiast like you peddles around. Call me when your prayer or chants has any effect on a person or thing. Finally, a court can convict a man for the "possession of charms" because it is equivalent to "possession of dangerous weapon". |
When it comes to "spiritual" matters every absurdity and crime is allowed and condoned without exception. |
I see this as a case of disgruntled ex-employee trying to destroy the image of the company that sacked him. |
LionDeLeo:Sorry, I do not engage in tribal bashing, so you will need to find a suitable opponent. At the bold words, again you committed a blunder of generalisation and misplaced anger as I neither write the bold nor insinuate it in my post, it was you who lumped hausa women together as being ill-mannered. My message was clear enough, you can't blame a woman for the failure of her marriage simply because she is a woman unless of course you have a first-hand experience of the failed marriage. Finally, I will say, I am highly disappointed that you had to resort lo listing crime by tribes just to defend your points because that was not my first impression of you when I replied to your post. |
Ritualist everywhere. |
LionDeLeo:Being an hausa gives you no right to demonise a woman you don't know. Will it be fair if someone describe you as a violent provocateur since that is the way some hausa men behave ? |
LionDeLeo:If she was as evil as you paint her, they will still be fighting in court and this would not have happened Jamila could have got a huge slice of Ahmed Musa’s fortune, but she turned down that chance after several human rights lawyers approached her in England to give them the mandate to sue her husband on her behalf. So never throw stone when the coast is not clear. |

I can't believe some people still see themselves as slaves in this 21st century. The government should force a case of attempted murder on the beast husband whether the wife supports it or not. |
Why is Nairaland showering attention on deranged fellows ? Her sick mindset should be allowed to die a natural death not propagated. |
You can take a cue from the daughter of the prophet Fatima, fight and kick strongly against it and if he doesn't yield , dump him. You are a human and you are not to be treated like property. |
So the money actually belonged to a government agency not an individual as alleged. |
am0sn0nyu:The guy's statement was not a condemnation of a race, it was simply an acknowledgement of a practise common in africa, as you know without acknowledgement, a problem can never be solved. And you lots keep emphasizing this particular fact in a way that suggest it's naturally an African thing without pausing to think of the root cause that gave birth to said Africa's underachievement. Fascination and addiction to Abrahamic religions and doctrines. It isn't nature but nurture, would you prefer we all look the other way and pretend the problem does not exist ? All these evil deed doers you mentioned are result of Abrahamic religions that has twisted and influenced the way of life of todays negroes in Africa. Until we rid of their doctrines and creed in our daily activities and government, African states will never be without instability. You are right, the Abrahamic religion reset the social evolution button for africa, instead of growing out of unfounded superstitions, the foreign religion came to reinforced them in an average african's mind. Stop mentioning Europe alone, the Arabs did far more devastating damage to the Africa than all the invading Europeans colonialists ever did, centuries before the first set of the Europeans came. You Nigerians are so obsessed with Europeans atrocities to Africa and yet would do anything for your European Visa to be approved. You have also noticed that it has become a staple for african's to blame europeans for all their woes forgetting that europeans did nothing out of ordinary and simply applied the old age conqueror's tactics of undermining their subjects development. The blamers also forgot that when the europeans arrived in africa, various tribes were at each other's neck and even colluded to sell their rival tribes as slaves. |
Motherfucker2:No informed person will cite USA as a paragon of peace even though they have peaceful cities. It is even worse when you used chicago as an example. It is no different than using Bornu state as the yardstick for peace in Nigeria. Perhaps, you forgot that most countries have their crime zones. Now to the guy you quoted, he was right in bemoaning africa not because of murder rate but ritual killings practised by both the poor and the powerful. Not all deaths are equal(to those alive), as some are more disgusting and gut-wrenching than others. While there is little that can be done in limiting the murder rate due to assassins and gunmen in africa, ritual killing can be eliminated by simply destroying the belief that sustains it. By comparing gun violence to ritual killings, you are diluting the negative effects ritual killing has on the society and indirectly normalizing the evil acts. So, the guy you attacked is doing good in his own way in speaking out against evil. |
This report failed to clarify that Nigeria rarely execute condemned criminals. There is a clear difference between countries which has death sentence(there are lot of them) and countries that carry out death penalties such as China and Iran. Death sentencing without executions is no different from life imprisonment and it tends to have no deterrent effect on would be criminals since the highest penalty they can practically get no matter the crime. I am all for death penalty(sentencing and execution) for premeditated murder. |
Punctual:You are wrong, evolution theory never claimed that human developed from ape. |
