corel photo paint can do alot more than most people think. The key is ur imagination. Plus seeing things done by advance users. It'll inspire u.

if i asked u to uninstall things from ur pc or remove programs from ur start up or even defragment, it'll b a waste of time. the only answer i have for u is backup and FORMAT.

A companies website cant as informative as a forum.

Where i used to work, ties or dressing bla bla bla did'nt determine anything for web masters. we did'nt attend any meetings. the only meetings were in house meetings and since there was no one to impress or look good for, its always just another day. We had a head of IT department. He was the one who always worried about buying new suits with his salary because he followed the MD and PR guys to every meeting. We were the framework.

For Freelancers or Self employed guys, this is different. And u should listen to mycents post it'll help.

the cheapest website i've desinged cost 45k. and it was for a friend(webworksent.com/ocular). Its a three page website. I dont think i can ever go lower than that. (no wonder i have very few clients) alot of "i already got a quote for 15k i hear u are good thats why i'm offering u this opportunity people" have come and gone. i work only at night (its easier for me). i know what it takes ME to design just a page. Is it the hours of BRAIN STORMING sessions of what the site would or should look like or the hours it takes just to design and redesign just one banner for things to look perfect or the arrangement and rearrangement and rearrangement. not to talk of the programmers oh. 10k is really, really out of the question. Wetin i wan carry 10k do sef? The same guys doin sites for ridiculous ammounts still come back to say the web designing business is not profitable. How can it? Does it make any sense doin sites for low price all in the name of getting more clients?

i wuld'nt want to bring race into this but the internet/web design was started by white folks not black.

on the other hand, its common sense. its more like a how do i get NOTICED question. If i was to design a free banner for nairaland, i'lld like people to know it was done by me atleast the banner is free. u know?

as for me oh. when i design sites the'designed by' stuff is negotiated on. If the client wants it off, they pay for it to stay off. if they don't care, it stays there. Some companies don't allow it though.

so i think its just personality

it depands on WHAT u are upgrading to.

i think it'll b better if u told people about this idea or else nobody wuld email u. especially from this graphics area. so when people see what u want they'll be calling because they can help not to hear stories. so put the stories here. if they can help, u'll hear from them. u get?

you know its funny why someone that hates windows so much keeps about15gb of WINDOZE apps? i'm sure u keep it just to give to people or for some lame reason.

if someone from a big company told u he/she was willing to employ u as a graphics artist, no interviews no nothing just one of ur works which one wuld it be? can we have a preview?

i think the site is ok. but not for what its suppose to accomplish. a website that is supposed to be fun shuldnt look like that. if it were ur personal site, i'll say good job. that design is not fit for the purpose of the site. (its a bit scary too .


i like the design though. nice one.

Now we are going to create some pupils. Zoom in by pressing Ctrl+"+" and use your ellipse tool to create a small circle. Change your gradient mode from linear back to radial, and change the colors to black and medium gray. Position your gradient so that the gray starts in the middle and radiates outwards. Position your pupil similar to the way I have mine below.



Duplicate your pupil just like we did with the eye sockets, and place it in your duplicate eye socket. Next take out your pen tool and draw some eyebrows. Using the pen tool is easy. Just click once where you want your eyebrow to start, and a second time where you want it to end. After your second click you can bend the arch of the brow to conform to your eye socket.


Next I created a nose. By now you probably have the ellipse tool and gradient modes down. I create a small circle with a radial gradient of yellow to orange, and added a small dropshadow. Dropshadows can be added through the filter menu. To access the filter menu click on the + sign in your properties tab. Next I used the pen tool to create a smile, here is how mine turned out.
