It could also be possible that a mutation in the group of gene that code hair colour may have prevented the actual physical manifestation as you may have in dark parents birthing albinos.

On the other hand, the genes for blood type are discrete, single, stand-alone genes; not multiple genes 'coming together'. The mode of transmission of such is Mendelian, so the outcome in the offspring is 'fixed' and predictable. The result of blood genotype of an offspring is strictly dependent on that of the parents, not the ancestors. Therefore the result cannot be different from that of the parents. Blood genotypes are genes, not products of genes like physical traits

True, science has been broken severally, to make 'new science'. However there is no new teaching that differs from the current one, being that the mode of transmission of single, discrete genes is Mendelian, therefore not possible for aa n ss genotypes to birth ss. If you know any science that is different or any new finding, pls report it.

NEGROES GIVING BIRTH TO BLONDES is a fxn of melanin, not blood genotype. That maybe possible.

The way the gene for skin colour is transmitted during development is different from that of blood genotype, which strictly follows the Mendelian pattern. This platform may not be the place to involve in any scholarly debate, besides, it does appear to me you may not have a Genetics background (no insult meant) Sir.

We do not use physical trait to determine who the parents of a child are not, but we can use blood genotype clinically to contest who the father or mother is not. Put another way, we can use blood genotype to show who the parents of a child are not, but we cannot use physical traits, for same reasons as in paragraph 2

Also if you are financially sound.. genotype SS can be altered to AA if genotype AA willing to donor blood cells from bone marrow. At the present, stem cell transplant for adult SS patient is not possible. Limit is 11-12 years, it may be possible for slightly older pple , say 15 thereabout, but only in the absence of complications/sequelae.

Okay. This is what happened (assuming your account is correct). One of the two parents was not sincere to the other.

I would contest any DNA result that shows that two people (with AA and SS genotypes) sired a child(ren) with SS genotype(s). Except this was a miracle of some sort.

Again..HUMANS CAN CHEAT, SCIENCE DOES NOT.

At worst, each of your children will inherit the Sickle cell gene, and be carriers- there is a 50% chance of this happening with each child.

They cannot develop the full disease, as this would require inheriting another "S"gene from you, which is impossible.

So your options are -
1. You have children, and accept the 50% risk that they will be carriers, and not sick, similar to your girlfriend.

2. You have children and have them tested early in the pregnancy for the" S" gene, and abort the foetus.

This is a drastic step considering that they will lead a relatively normal life, no matter what the outcome.

3. You could adopt.
4. Get a new girlfriend.

Sir, the problem with SS/AA marriages is not the offsprings, but the health challenge that the SS partner brings to the relationship. For average every day people, it can cause significant strain on the relationship. Rather than marry an ss lady, and get a girl friend (broke her heart in the process, and push her to an early grave), why not choose not to marry her in the first instance, and save urself the stress of having to take 'drastic measures'

So there's this lady who I'm interested in dating. infact, I was about to ask her out yesterday when one thing led to another and she told me she was SS.

Here's a little background to this:
1. I consider myself a good guy. I'm not a player and I can't date you if I don't see us heading to the aisle. I have been in relationships before which have ended but I don't date with the intention of ending it.
2. Because of Number 1, I don't just ask out anyone. I start by being friends and then if I see a future, I'll then take it forward else we mutually friendzone ourselves. I'm different, Bite me.
3. This Lady ticks most of the boxes I think is important. And I actually believe(d) that this would be my Last Bus stop. However, I don't want to get a wife who'll leave me soon.

I'll be grateful if you guys help me with answers to this:
a) Should I go on with this? or should I free her? or go against everything I believe in and break off the relationship once her next crises comes. (OMG, that's brutal. I'm cringing just writing that)
b) I know if we have kids, they'll be AS. What chances of survival does she have? at least to get up until 70. She's 25 right now.

I appreciate how you feel about this. Sometimes taking decisions about stuffs like this can be challenging.

I think you may go ahead to date her if you want, but marriage is another thing altogether. Take this one step at a time.

I would not say not to go ahead with deciding to marry her (its really up to you at the end of the day), i would rather you deeply consider this, beyond your feelings, before making a decision.
Talk with parents who have ss children, that would give you a sneek-peek of what you may experience when you marry an SS lady (thats assuming you do). It can be very challenging, but doable.

If you think your love is strong enough to accomodate frequent hospitalizations, complications of childbirth, and other common complications (CVA, Renal failure etc), associated with them, then you may go ahead.

Be advised that the demands of marriage (emotional and physical), may tip an otherwise stable SS patient to be more prone to crisis.
Don't be misled in thinking that if a person living with SCD is above 25 or so, they are less prone to crisis, or that crossing the threshold of 25 means they would live longer.

My advise?
1. Forget about marrying her for now, just show her love and carefully think about this.
2. Pray about it
3. Think about it
4. Think about it again
5. Decide

presently get exactly 40km on 10L

My tires are 185/65/15, according to manufacturer spec

Following a mechanics advice, had the plugs changed and all, still no improvement

No CEL/MIL on dashboard, though, i took it for scanning and it generated p0117 and p0118 fault codes.

Would that be enough to cause that significantly high fuel consumption sir?

You should find where it is leaking from as this would show what is responsible. I have had leaks before and fixed them by locating the leak and doing the needful. Note that you can have a leak from the junctions between the metal return lines and the rubber hose...an example. you may just need to tighten a clamp. Also check for cracks on the high pressure line (the fat pipe leaving the PS pump, trace it to where it joins a metal pipe).

To solve the leaks I've had over the years I have had to:
1. Replace inlet o-ring
2. Replace seals inside the pump (here, the leak was from the pump itself)
3. Tighten a clamp between the metal return line and rubber hose (you may need to remove the right front wheel; one of the junctions can be seen from there)
4. Replace the high pressure line.
Note that these were done at different times!

NB: Changing the pump without knowing where the leak is coming from is not wise. I seriously doubt the capacity off your mechanic as any sensible person trying to tackle a leak will first find the source of the leak.

i drive a 96 model honda accord aka academy.

My power steering is leaking seriously.i have to top it daily before driving out. I also noticed the leak is worse on turning the wheels to either extreme.

I had my mechanic change the power steering, it appeared okay on d first day n then got bad again.

Now my mechanic suggests i change the steering rack.

Pls shld i do as the mechanic adviced or what might d solution be. Pls house, guide me.
