Events like this should evoke introspection from our political leaders.
You can't smear pepper on your nose and not expect it to hurt your eyes.
Those who have wickedly abandoned our health infrastructure would someday be faced with the reality of what the ordinary Nigerian grapples with.
Wickedness has blinded us from realising not every medical condition would allow you time to be 'ferried' abroad for care.
Tinubu's son suffered an acute cardiac emergency a functional emergency system should have been able to salvage. Now Yusuf Buhari suffers a traumatic brain injury. I'm sure his parents would be suprised to know he can't be taken abroad until he is stable enough.
Our public hospitals including ALL TEACHING HOSPITALS are DEAD. We are still in the medieval age of medicine.
Traumatic brain injury is not a big deal. Ideally, State House Medical Centre should have the capital to handle a case like this. Why Cedarcrest? Why not National Trauma Centre? If the case is very bad at Cedarcrest,, why not referral to National Trauma Centre, if they are confident? Should that not be the ideal?
Shame on Nigeria!!
I read here where people are bashed for not 'sympathising' with the first family. Shame on us! Little wonder we are taken for granted. No one life is greater than another. Who is organizing prayers for Yusuf's friend and family. They don't have the capacity to hurt or feel helpless?
Away with the hypocrisy. Nigerians die everyday from bad roads, lack of basic healthcare, fulani-herdsmanism; who sympathises with us. Abeg, let everyman lick their wounds.
Every Nigerian life is equal and the same. |

A few months into assumption of duties, the tell-tale signs of a failed govt was evident even to the blind, yet apologetics were on the trenches defending the obvious. As far as remarking that "PDP had 16years, pls give APC more time" . You'd be surprised not a few persons still hold that view. Nothing can be more ridiculous. SHAME!!
Good governance has measurable indices, our political membership or ethno-religious association cannot change that.
Evidently, this govt has failed (long ago sha, most NTA watchers are just getting to know).

Shame on this useless country.. Shame on Buhari..Shame on zombies..Shame on Buharis media cows(BMC). Shame on all those who voted this d3ad animal into power..Shame!! Bros calm down, so you don't rupture a blood vessel. We are in this for the long haul. A people are deserving of the quality of leadership they get. Our anger mostly does not translate to change in leadership. The seemingly literate Nigerian masses have retrograde amnesia when its time to exercise their power. We suddenly forget about core issues, bicker about 'shadows', and vote according to emotional dictate and ethno-religious leaning. Its same story from the 1-million-man-march for Abacha till date!! I'm not pessimistic, we have not seen the end, until the mechanism of leadership election changes. Only the people can enforce that change during elections. |

This argument is pointless. Just a couple of remarks:
Any hard working professional /highly trained/skilled person (not sure about untrained/unskilled hustlers) can succeed anywhere with time; it depends on your definition of success, what your life goals and values are.
But clearly certain environments are more conducive and supportive of helping serious minded folks achieve their fullest potentials, irrespective of background and creed.
Some of the professors that inspired me the most when i was a student were those who had the opportunity to train in the Western world. Their mindset, motivation, world view and how they see their students and colleagues were clearly different from their indigenous contemporaries.
I had a teacher in my final year (an HOD) who was an anti-abroad crusader (introduces every lecture with a discouragement of young pple going abroad). He had the chance to travel to South Africa for a scientific conference where, according to him, he met one of his classmates, who was not as sound intellectually way back in the days. Strangely, about 1 year after my lecturer returned from South Africa, he resigned from his job were he was a senior personnel and a senior lecturer to emigrate to South Africa, where he resides till date, much to our disappointment. We never had the chance to find out what influenced his decision.
There is no basis for comparison of life in Nigeria vs 'abroad' , because our priorities, values and life pursuit are as far apart as day and night. The parameters for measurement are not the same.
The earth is the Lord's. Please know what you want and chose an environment that best supports it! |

I work in the development sector and i know what US aid means to Nigeria (the left-over from the statutory loot).
If US aid stops, there would be a public health disaster in Nigeria. Anyway it wouldn't matter because our govt has never really cared about the life of Nigerians.
We know how hard reduction in aid of the present administration is pinching how much more a total cessation. |

Depends on the wage the jobs are offering and where you intend to reside.....
You might pay a higher rent, but be much closer to work (saving on cost of transport & time). Than pay lesser rent, but be further away from your work (paying all + more saved on transport)....
Rail travel in the UK could cost you about £600 - £1200 pcm.
So lots of things to consider, before accepting any job offers...... Thanks. |

Thanks for the advice for other intending immigrant nurses in the house.
If u wouldn't mind, I want to ask if your I-140 was filled with a BSn or Nursing diploma? Just trying to figure out what the problem could probably be at the I-140 stage and to see how we (others) can avoid this disappointment if it is something we can avoid. Or is the problem peculiar to avant because I'm still as much bewildered as you are.
Even if you are going to try out the UK route, never still quit the US process since u are already licensed. At worst, you get another agent to file for u. It's never a closed case at all. Pls don't give up too easily on this. I can have a feel of what you are passing through right now, all the same, don't give up to the disappointment. My personal opinion! Let others give their own contributions pls.
Thank you. I applied with a nursing diploma (doubly qualified) with about 6 years continuous clinical experience. I don't think the i-140 has got anything to do with whether an application is filed with a nigerian nursing degree or diploma. The important thing is that i have an active US RN license with supposedly a job offer and evidence that employer can pay. I am wont to know if this recent development is peculiar to AVANTS or other agencies are affected. Any info with respect to this would be appreciated. Thanks for your kind words. |

They said it was due to 'lack of leadership at the uscis'. My understanding from their mail was that there may have been some changes in immigration rule. They are to get some documentation sorted (i think Dept of labour doc or so) with uscis after which they would reapply for me. I also got to understand most of their application were denied, but i don't know if its avant only that is affected. Real men take responsibility for their action. They don't find escape through suicide when faced with the consequences of their choices; its cowardice.
This is 2017, HIV is no longer a death sentence, free and safe medications are available. A lot of ground breaking research that would revolutionize care are on-going. Hopefully soon, we should have a once in 3 months injectible for PLHIVs, and a vaccine in the horizon by 2020.
Pls if infected, get professional help, not suicide.

God punish devil While i respect your view, it is very uninformed and obviously unintelligent. Nigeria boosts of some of the finest doctors in the world. Some of the doctors you run to in the US, UK and elsewhere are Nigerians. The failure of govt to provide basic healthcare for the poor and regulatory failure in establishment and practise of private healthcare outfits has seen a rise in quackery to fill up the space. The system like every other in Nigeria is rotten and unguarded so its every businessman's turf. Most Nigerians don't listen. Healthcare is NOT CHEAP, if you can't afford it please go to a good govt hosp (at least in Abuja) and be patient. Lets stop this ponzi scheme mentality, no body would collect 45k from you for a major surgery like ovarian cystectomy and you expect a good outcome. After sacrificing his wife to the butcher, where did he raise money for the extensive corrective surgery at the public hospital, where he could have gone ab initio. Nyanya general hosp is just about #300 away from his location. The "doctor" is evil, the husband is wicked. |

FitnessDoctor: Hello guys its your favorite health blogger, Paul Samuel FitnessDoctor
In 2009, several studies indicated that about 75% of women may never reach orgasm (the big O) from intercourse alone, in 2016, it went as high as 80%. Also, I am yet to meet a man who would say "no" to a getting a good head but let's go into the health perspective of all this, you might want to stop having oral s£x after reading this.
Now, I use condoms for mainly two reasons, in fact, we all use condoms for two reasons, to prevent STDs and pregnancy. When it comes to oral s£x, all those safety precautions are thrown out the window and everything happens raw (most of us never thought of that).
Oral s£x leads to transfer of many STDs, gonorrhea, chlamydia, syphilis, herpes, human papillomavirus (HPV) also known to cause throat cancer, HIV you name it.
These STDs affect mostly the mouth and throat when gotten through oral s£x, but there are other possiblities that it may affect your rectum, urinary tract and genital area.
So How Do You Go About It?
This might seem like bad advice to many ladies and men who can't keep their sexual urge (Konji) in check but.
1. Stick to One Partner (it's much safer) 2. Know Your Partner's Status (which many of us don't) 3. Use a condom during Mouth Gig or dental clamp (doesn't provide 100% protection, but it is sue to reduce the chances of your contracting something).
So there you have it.
You can join me on my blog from 7am every morning for new articles

There is a certain evil attached to disobeying the ways of God, who by the way, created the universe (you don't have to agree) and scripted the laws and principles of safe and healthy living. The surest way to avoid STDs and its attendant complication is: 1. ABSTEINANCE for the unmarried. 2.MUTUAL FAITHFULNESS for the married. Use condom from now till eternity, the 'soul that sinneth would surely die', God's word stands sure irrespective of our self-deceptive and intellectual views. casa101: Please can anyone connect me to a Priest/Pastor in fact anyone that can help me with Deliverance that is not fake.
I am 29 yrs old Medical Doctor. I stay in Lagos and work in a hospital(name withheld). My story started yrs ago wen I was very small that is in pri. Sch. Then I used to have sex in my dreams but never discussed it with any1 bc I don't know what to call it. But the sex in my dreams continued till date.
Again at a time I got worried but i bluffed it saying it was just a dream that it meant nothing. But now it seems it meant something after all.
During all those years till now I always have issues with relationships. Once I sleep or starts sleeping with any girlfriend of mine within 1wk the friendship ends especially if it is someone I planned dating.
But I observed something too then any girl that is just a friend but just sleeps with me in terms of mutual/friends with benefits without any luv or r/ship thing attached to the end used to last.
So when I noticed it I started keeping girls as just friends or mutual one. Luckily I got plenty for mutual friends but what baffled me most was that one that i used to sleep with in my 100l to 200l said one day "nawaoo why can't I get pregnant for you upon we have been sleeping together for over a yr without condom and yet she never take in. I became worried and decided to go for sperm analysis test. It came out fine but when another girl said the same thing again last 3yrs. I decided to find 3 runs girls that I paid to be having sex with me during their window periods to see if they will take in and willing to abort. From the day I started sleeping with them none ever took in. They said Oga you have a problem, go and get help". Note that we carried test on the 3 of them and it showed they are fertile and fit to get pregnant. But I never looked for an answer till date.
But then on Friday I went out with a friend that i planed dating but yet to sleep with her but that night it happened.
Hell broke loose yesterday when she called me yesterday and was so angry with me saying.. In her words "why did u not tell me you have a marine wife "?.. I was like what?.. She then continued saying that have I ever asked myself why can't i get into a serious r/ships , my episodes of sex in my dreams and getting someone pregnant. Don't you know the person you are sleeping with in your dreams?".. I was shocked bc of how she knew?
I asked her who told her and how come she knew about this problem?.. When I knew that I have never discussed it with her or anyone. She now said she met with my spiritual wife and that I should forget getting r/ship, married or having kids without her permission. I should seek for her(spiritual wife). Then as for her I should never talk to her about love and r/ship unless I want to just be having sex with her which she permitted her to give me. Besides she is an Ogbanje so I should not be surprised as she knew..
Now I seriously need a deliverance bc it is now giving me worries.. I will appreciate any help pls. Thank you If this is true, you need Jesus, not a pastor. If otherwise, you also need Jesus..'He that the son sets free is free indeed' |

The moment they abandoned Christianity, they exposed themselves to other forms of worship e.g atheism (worship of self) and even satanism.
The vacuum left behind by the reducing Christianity in the West is now getting filled by Islam and it's murderous tendencies. They ditched Christ, now they have no choice but to enjoy terrorism. The sad part is that they have been so blinded to the point of even supporting the mass influx of Arabs and their barbaric ways into Europe.
