I'm hoping i cn get sm advise here: I own an 07 kia cerato manual transmission, presently clocking 112k km., boughtvat 60k km. Recently gear has become stiff and difficult to select. Reverse gear engages with an uncomfortable grinding sound, 5th gear hardly selects. Had a technician check who says d clutch system is fine, no leaks, adequate clutch oil, clutch pedal depresses just fine. He thinks d clutch disk would need chngin but im afraid. From my searching on d net, im wondering if it could be d transmission oil. Car manual says to chg at 100k km with a 75w 85 grade (fill for life). Considering engine is clocking 112k, shld i attempt d chg..if d oil spec is fill for life, why would it require changing (that is supposing present oil is factory filled). I need sm guide frm smone with experience. |

yomi007k:Who doesn't know that the C6 grade of the 70's and 80's is superior to the A1's of recent times? The man wrote WASC, not NECO SSCE |
idbami2:True! ..neither has poor academic result nor lack of it produced good leadership. If an academically sound mind turns out a poor leader (in your opinion), what would we expect from an uneducated mind? We truely are deserving of the type of leaders we have; the quality of our thinking, as a people, is poor. |
Starbeams:Nos not connecting. |
Hi starbeams, Drive an 07 model kia cerato, manual transmission. My gear just suddenly refuse to select, suddenly became frozen and fixed...but if u switch off d ignition, it becomes normal again..i can't even drive it to the nearest mechanic shop..popped d hood to see if there is any leaks in the clutch system, but none..just to mention that clutch kits, both upper and lower, were replaced 2 months ago when d pedal suddenly flattened, and its been normal since then until d present development.. Pls what could possibly be wrong?? |
Mine was a 92 honda civic, blue, manual transmission with alloy rims..great car for me then; enjoyed it as i never had problems with the car, aside worn out tires.. it was stolen in broad day light on 31/5/14 at Wuse zone 4 in front of IGi house. Painful thing was i changed to brand new tires 5 days prior to when it was stolen..i loved that car: DL390ABC, still have the papers, keys and photos. |
Starbeams:Bro, what will it cost me to scan my kia at your garage? |
Hello everyone. I own an 07 cerato, manual transmission. Couple of days ago, my clutch pedal just suddenly got 'floored' without warning, and the car was undriveable, as the gear could not engage. Got a mechanic who detected a leak in the system and discovered some damaged parts in the clutch system which were changed. Clutch came back to life afterwards, but i noticed that after driving the car for sometime, the gear 'freezes up' suddenly while in motion. It gets so hard the shift stick would not disengage, or engage. I would have to turn off the ignition, then it returns back to normal again. Surprisingly, if the ignition is off at that point, the gear is soft as normal. I have returned back to the mechanic who fiddled with some stuff, and certifies it okay, but the problem still persists. Clutch oil in the port has not reduced since after the initial repair, so there is no leak anywhere. Please anyone with an idea of what it could be, its very frustrating. Car has been an excellent basic car before now. |
Islie:I didn't quite read the whole story to the end, after i saw a lawyer involved: This is a straight forward case, the following appears to be what happenned: Woman had an obstetric complication; poorly managed, maybe from a maternity home This led to uterine rupture, considering her parity, and in order to save her life, hysterectomy had to be done. When woman presented, surgeons thot they could handle the pregnancy, but alas to salvage mother, d womb has to be sacrificed. They did what was best, but because they did not anticipate doing a hysterectomy, did not seek consent earlier, so had to do it peri-op. My thots: The hospital could be adjudged wrong in respect of seeking consent, but not in the judgement made. They did what they considered best for her in line with best obstetric practice. Would the man would have preferred if the woman had died with her womb? it really would have been better for the hospital, the lawyer, himself and the children she would have left behind. Nobody would ask what choice the woman would have made if she was not the one on the table. Healthcare providers need to be very careful. In an attempt to be heroic and save lives, many have been 'burnt'. Emergency surgeries are akin to being at the battle front, sometimes instant decisions have to be made. if patient or their relatives are unwilling, why bother.. Again, i have not heard from the man, this is just all assumptions so my judgement could be wrong |
Hi Missjoyjoy. Pls whats d cost for vehicle particulars renewal, change of ownership inclusive. A breakdown would be nice. |
I hope you guys are affordable. I can't forget spending what i consider an unfair amount at Auto-beauty, yet did not get satisfaction. Will try you out! |
In dire need of a good kia mechanic in Abuja, and AC technician; Automedics and Autobeauty out of it. Pls help |
Hi, |
GAZZUZZ:Yes it was digitally done i guess, at least i saw them apply the tires to d machine and 'machine-spun' etc. I specifically requested them do the tire swap which they did. I just want to knw wat else it could be. The car is very basic and drives well. Just want to fix that challenge. |
Hi Gazzuz, I own an 06 kia cerato, bought used at 85k km. I notice the steering shakes and vibrates from 110km/hr. from experience i thought it was alignment, so i did alignment and wheel balancing, but im afraid i still get d vibration afterwards. I think it may be a problem with d legs, but im nt sure. Pls wat do u think.guide me |

KuliMart:So Can you get me replacement screen and battery for cubot x9?? Text me your number on 09056050978, so we talk |
bongolistik:I owned a cubot x9 up until last month..excellent device; arguably one of d best android phones i have used so far.. Why did i dump it?? The screen cracked, touch scree started malfunctioning, and i could not get a replacement screen anywhere in fct. In buying a phone, consideration shld be given to local availability of parts, and not just specs alone |
tayebest:It is good to give credit to whom it is due despite our leanings..i live in d neighbourhood of dat project, and i dare say, you are not correct..yes, govt is a continuum, but we should commend d govt dat initiated it and saw to its almst completion, frm where d present took over from..where did d present govt get money to 'begin' it anyway, seeing d forth and back charade with d budget??.. |
Coming frm u, i hv sm degree of confidence..is it negotiable, will 450 do it sire?? |
SURElee:Success rate is high, depending on the age of the child; the younger the better, and depending on the number of crisis suffered in a year and whether complications have arisen. Cases are usually carefully selected, not all scd are eligible for transplant.. |
Please do not despair, if confirmed the child is SS, plan and go for stem cell transplant. His age is just perfect for it. Stem cell transplant is currently a more permanent option, and its available at UBTH and other places, with a high success rate.Thgh maybe expensive (not sure, 1-1.5M), its worth the investment, considering the quality of life the child may have if you do any less. Having said that..common things occur commonly..its more likely the supposed father did not sire that child, than that there was a mix up of his result in the lab;the latter is likely but the former mostly obtains..sorry about how it sounds, its a fact. Both of you need to go to a good lab(recommend Pathcare), or a govt general hospital to repeat your blood genotype. Make up your minds to deal with the outcome, it can be very revealing; what happens if the father is indeed AA? If this was due to clerical error ab initio, and both of you confirmed to be AS, then you plan the way forward. You guys may also consider suing the lab where your hubby did the test before marriage. I have heard say on nairaland that AA/AS can give rise to SS, pls do not take solace in dat deceit, do the right thing to enable you take the right step and make correct informed decision about other children. You will pull through. |
Hello, What will it cost me for you to get the following to Abuja: Mazda 626, anything btw 2000-02 model, salon (not hatch back trim), 4 plugs, manual drive train. Give a breakdown of the cost implication pls Tnx |
Dr Kene.welcome.this is the sad reality that greets you when you become a doctor. Its even worse for the non-health people. The system is a joke, whether PDP- or APC-led Dust your diploma and license and begin to look across the shore where though there is corruption, they are sane enough to take health care and health personnel seriously..don't believe the 'e go better gospel' |
I have gone through the site and i saw too many 'red flags'. Please BEWARE! BEWARE!! You may try as there is no harm in doing so, but please don't give out any kobo. |
Everest880:Not unexpected bro. Your God still loves you..you will come home someday, i pray for you |
Everest880:Not unexpected bro. Your God still loves you |
Everest880:So go ahead; live as you wish, believe what you may..time shall tell. You really lose nothing by giving your life to Jesus, whether there be a second coming or not, think about it |
Motherfucker2:Very true sir; religion is, christianity isn't. You have the right to form and hold on to your beliefs and the freewill to live as you wish..that does not change the word of God the Almighty, nor His plans for humanity. You doubt it? Refer to history |
Slimmybody:No age restrictions for admission, internship and residency. But remember its a 'long walk' to the mountain top, especially as you would be competing with younger folks. You could just botch the whole medicine idea and pursue a postgraduate (medical biochem, biitech, etc) The time it will take you to complete basic training and residency to add 'butter to bread' would be enough to get a PH.d and more. Most doctors are now taking that route.Medicine in Nigeria is not worth the whole wahala anymore. With a degree in biochem, post graduate in public health or any of its many branches is an option that would take you 'there', in no long a time.Jobs are relatively more available, besides academia. Again, follow your heart..whatever you choose, goodluck! |
