How?
I believe Yahoo boys are a rich resource pool for the miltary and elite security agencies.

We can start a secret programme where smart yahoo boys are arrested, screened to verify intelligence and if satisfactory, instead being incarcerated, now used for legimate military/security purposes.

It requires a leadership that recognises this opportunity.

Serious countries now have cyber warfare units. Its becoming the new frontier for military and economic warfare, and Nigeria teems with deployable talents.

The people that peddled the news should be bold enough to mention the name of the hospital and the so called "wrong injection" she was given.
At least now everyone is getting more circumspect knowing you cannot just put out somebody's name or organization and claim that person committed an error without you having cast iron proof.
Tarnishing people's image and reputation has become a stock in trade of many people now because they have this mistaken belief they can run to social media and post anything without no one holding them accountable.
It has got to stop.
If you are sure of your facts, mention name, place, person, organisation or facility responsible and be ready to defend your accusations in court.
Generally there is a problem with comprehension among the 'educated mob'

I got interested when i saw the topic only to discover the OP is confused, but shocked to see the 'frontpagers' comment shows they may not have read the post itself or may have but did not understand it.

Media personality, Binta Badmus, has passed on allegedly due to a medical error.

Binta worked with Smooth FM as a radio presenter before she moved to Channels TV.

Unfortunately, she had an ailment that was not life-threatening and had been going to the hospital to receive treatment before she passed.

The exact cause of her death is not known but social media users who are mourning her claim a "hospital mistreated and gave her the wrong injection that froze her into death!"

Source ; http://www.praizenews.com/media-personality-binta-badmus-died-due-to-a-medical-error-nigerians-mourns-her/
Your source claims cause of death is unknown, yet states that a wrong injection froze her to death, and you compounded it by claiming (your title) the deceased died from medical error. Isn't this an uneducated and senseless sensationalism?
RomanceRe: I'm Suspecting My Girlfriend Is HIV Positive by nervorum: 1:23pm On Nov 27, 2019
calamitous:
Hey guys I need your help regarding this:

My girlfriend and i weren't on talking terms for a while, six months to be precise, but last week she started talking to me all of a sudden and we kinda shared one or two mutual feelings that led, to sex.

But while she was about to leave, I kind of saw some drugs in her bag, when I asked her the purpose of the drugs she replied that they were for infection.

Meanwhile she previously told me that same morning that she needed some money to threat virginal infection. But one occurent led to one another that made me to suspect her only purpose for showing up was to infect me with HIV or some other STDs.

I don't know what to do regarding this issue but I'm planning on dealing with her if i get to find out she infected me with any STD on purpose...

Need advice guys and girls.
Firstly, if you had listened and abstained from sexual immorality, you would' ve no reason to fear. You have come home with ant-infested firewood.. You failed the first level of defense.

Even if you kill her and you 're HIV infected, it doesn' t change anything. You would end up being a fornicator and murderer, who knows what else. The lady did nothing wrong to you. You made a choice

Face the consequences of your poor judgement as a man. Go for HIV screening in a hospital, if negative, repeat after in 12 weeks, if still negative, thank your creator, and now determine to abstain from sex (not even with condom use) . However if positive, take courage, go for treatment. Abstain from 'recklessness', and court the love of God.

Sexual immorality does not make one sophisticated or 'open eye', but we claim to know better than our Maker.

This is unpopular, but whatever happens God can still forgive you and redeem you, only if you run to him. Why not choose to be safe in Jesus going forward?
FamilyRe: Will I Regret My Decision Later On In Life? by nervorum: 7:04pm On Nov 23, 2019
LoyalRccgMember:
Good morning guys, so there's an issue that has been bothering me for a week now.

it's about my younger sister's childhood friend. so, I came back from school last month after finishing my 2nd semester 300l exams.

And anytime, my friends sister visited our house, she'll sometimes sneak into my room to collect my phone which she claims shes uses for assignments (she's currently in S.S.2).

So last week, she came as usual to collect the phone. after giving her, she decided to stay back in the room while she makes research on her so-called assignments. while putting on earpiece ooo.

unknown to her, even though I was busy on my laptop, I could still hear some noise from the earpiece. I had to pause what I was doing to listen carefully and found out that this girl was actually watching porn in my holy phone oooo.

I got angry and collected my phone after which I sent her out of my room. even after that event, she still visits our house and still comes into my room but I've denied her my phone sha.

So, last week Sunday, after church service, I tried to my Buddy who was a pianist in our church to seek advice from him if I should report the girl to her parents or leave her alone.

I was quite shocked at his reply as he said I messed up that I should have taken advantage of the girl. I was like, the girl is 16 oooo. and i also told him that I don't engage in such stuffs (At 20, I've never hugged a girl before because of my low self esteem as my friends would call it) He also told Me that age is just a number that he have been strafing the junior pastor's daughter who was his girlfriend (17year old girl ooo and dude is 23) i didn't believe him at first not until he showed me the nude pictures of the girl.

he said I should man up that he'll get me a condom this Sunday which I will use. I told him that he should remember that he is a Christian and that as Christians, we should stay away from all forms of immorality and that our body is the temple of God which should remain Pure and Holy at the same time.
the dude's defense was that Jesus has already died for our sins and that subsequent sins we commit will be forgiven.

Right now, I'm confused as to what to do as my younger sister's friend has been trying to seduce me. sometimes, she'll just come into my room without even knocking the door wearing what seemed like mini skirt. mind you, all the while that she has been coming to our house, my parents are not always around. also, her mom and my mom are close buddies.

Please I need an advice on what to do as my friend from the just has already promised to bring the CD on Sunday. also, is it true that Jesus really died for our subsequent sins? that is, the sins we commit later on in life will be forgiven? also, I need advice from those who had engage in premarital sex before. so far, have you had any regrets? please help a brother. please I'll appreciate if I get more views concerning this issue.

Yes, you would regret your decision to proceed with this act.

Your spirit has already witnessed to you that what you are contemplating is evil. Yes, it is.

God wants us to flee from immorality, it does not matter what the world thinks.
A man cannot take fire in his bossom and not consumed. Others have escaped, YOU WOULD NOT. BE warned to desist from this action!

I'm getting married this weekend and my husband to be doesn't know about my genotype. I'm SS but lied to him that I'm AS, he is AA.
I don't look like SS neither do I fall sick( I sick once or twice a year),and I'm not on any medication as well.
My doctor and friends advised me not to tell him because of different heartbreaks that I have experienced in the past ( people believe SS dies prematurely).
I have plan to tell him on our wedding night but my friends insist I should wait till I give birth.

Please help me, I don't know the right time to tell him and I don't want to build my marriage on lies.
Truth be told, what you have done is wicked and ungodly, if the wedding is this weekend. You deliberately want to build a family on a faulty foundation.
Your genotype is not the issue. If you can hide this from your supposedly loved husband-to-be up till now, it therefore means you are quietly capable of so many other things.

Those who built on solid foundation have trials how much less one built on sand.

God is not on your side, if you don't open up before formally pronounced married. Don't forget to provide update when your labour begins to bear fruit.

Nigerians complain of bills. They convert it to naira to sound big but no one ever converts their income to naira. Oga, you want to earn in foreign currency and spend in naira?

The western world is structured towards reducing financial gaps if and where possible. You get value for your taxes/bills. You live comfortably. On our own side, we are used to aiming to be overwhelmingly richer than people around us. We would do anything to enjoy a system without contributing to it
Most reasonable comment ever.
People want to carry their i-better-pass-my-neighbour attitude to a place where they strive to close that gap. They view living outside Nigeria thru the prism of that warped mindset.

First, I was an undergraduate studying Russian language in Unilag and decide to go Russia, get Russian visa thru Unilag, went to Russia and only to be refuse entry. The whole journey lasted for only three days and I was deported back to Naija. I wanted to go back then to Russia then cos my Visa is still valid but decided against it and went to buy jamb form and got admitted to Unilag studying Educational administration. That was 2008.

My second experience. During NYSC in 2012, I know for sure looking for job at 30 with 2:2 in Naija na die. I decided I am going to try Yankee student visa but money tight die. I did all the leg work myself from finding the school, to writing GRE and going to the embassy. God answered my prayer and the Visa came thru and life has never been the same. I am not a millionaire but I am doing good for myself and my immediate family.

Note: like someone said in an earlier post, traveling is not for everybody and you must have plans when you want to travel. Traveling does not worth risking your life thru desert or jungle cos you will be surprise that a lizard in Nigeria will not turn to crocodile in America
This is consistent with the story of average educated Nigerians who just seek to fulfill their dreams. Some places give you better opportunities to live out your dreams than others. Once you are legal, trained/skilled, hardworking and disciplined, you are more likely to succeed and contribute to society than fail. Welldone!

Good afternoon my people.
I am currently 25years old and have A BSc. degree in physiology. I have passion for medicine an i wanted to re-apply, though the school that i want (is in my state) is partially accredited by MDCN, but they have final year student.

The reason i wanted to apply for the school is that i need to open a shop that i can be running my business and also.

Please I need your view considering my age? is it okay for me to start all over again from 100level or should i apply for DE in different state?

Thank you.
If you were my sibling, i would advise not to study medicine (if you have to do it here). Unfortunately, you say you have a passion for it. Your age is not a problem, the way Nigeria is now, is the problem.

Most 'passionate' doctors have left clinical practice to join NGOs or businesses to survive, others are running 'helter skelter' to gain a foothold in uk, us, canada etc. Its pathetic.

Have you wondered why your lecturers who have children studying medicine send their wards abroad? The foreseeable future looks grim here.

Not trying to discourage you. But think about it well. Talk to doctors, physically, especially young ones. Get well informed, then make a decision..

By the way, medical education is too jealous to combine with business. One MUST fail.

It's disheartening when some one will ask for an advice and you know that u are not knowledgeable to answer but you still answer getting the individual confused.

Based on the OP question : looking at your background and your connection in Nigeria ,it will play a part in making a choice between these two professions .
PHARMACY and NURSING.are both a very difficult course to go through ,they both do internship at the end except if you go through the sch of nursing route which is not still bad.
If you have connection and long leg in Naija I will say go for pharmacy
If you know your parents no get long leg I will say go for Nursing.
YOU HAVE A BETTER CHANCE OF GETTING EMPLOYEMENT IF YOU ARE A NURSE COMPARED TO BEING A PHARMACY HERE IN NIGERIA except if you have a long leg.

International opportunity .
NURSING PROFESSIONAL CURRICULUM IS SAME ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD AND WITH INFORMATION YOU CAN PRACTICE IN UK ,US , Australia ,CANNADA ,WITH YOUR CERTIFICATE FROM NIGERIA ONLY TO WRITE THEIR BOARD EXAM. DOR US U WRITE NCLEX which I did and I am in the US right now and I make x 2 what the highest paid Dr make in a month in 2 weeks.
Other profession have a tedious path of being able to practice abroad and NURSING SHORTAGE IS AFFECTING ALL THE CIVILIZED WORLD AND THEY ARE RECRUITING NURSES LIKE MAD.

I AM ONLY BEING HONEST WITH YOU. so after everything the decision is yours.
Couple of point:
1. Admission into nursing education in Nigeria is as competitive as pharmacy (not talking about diploma RN education).

2. Whether you are a nurse or pharmacist, you can always have a 'porting advantage' albeit better for nurses cos of dynamics of supply and demand in a FEW developed countries, which makes obtaining licensure relatively easier.

3. The bolded is inaccurate or knowingly misleading. I'm an 'insider' (not a nurse).

4. Choosing nursing cos you want to travel abroad, is the ultimate recipe to unfulfillment. Should not be encouraged.

The level of ignorance about nursing profession in this thread is appalling and it's as a result of lack of sufficient information and misrepresentation of the profession especially by the media..huh...

Nursing has gone far beyond the 19th and 20th century. This is the 21st century, things have changed and are still changing..I'm not going to compare any profession to the other but op, just get the right information and choose wisely cos when the chips are down,it will be you and your choice that will be left

To all those spilling trash about nursing, get the right information before coming to spill trash. I bet most of those nurses you see are quacks cos no professional nurse will run errand for a doctor, we are autonomous and please y'all should patronize standard hospitals and not all these one-room hospitals around.
Sadly, when people hear 'nursing' they think it's only about working in the hospital.

Nursing has long evolved and has become a full fledged professional field deeper than most people know.

However nurse education development in Nigeria (as with most stuff) is stagnated or progressing VERY slowly, while arguably, pharmacy has been long DEAD and decayed!

Good day Nl. Please which is the best profession to take.
Nurse practitioner (B.nursing) or Pharmacy?.

Please give a point while one is better than the other?
Firstly, passion. Which one do you desire.

Assuming you'd have equal desire/interest in both, then i would say NURSING (Bsn, not RN)

If you were my sibling, i would insist you do NURSING.

Nursing is one of the few vocations in healthcare that would incressingly be in high demand, both locally and internationally, because of innovations in healthcare technology and demographic change globally.

Internationally, i can't even begin to talk about it; It's rewarding and lifestyle is good even for those in clinical nursing in comparison with other healthcare profession.

The career prospects for postgraduate nurses looks bright locally. There are a few nurses pursuing a career in academics in Nigeria at the moment. But if you dont desire to go further, or you don't have a passion to care, the career options are also good; from NGOs to financial sector to business/administration, the possibilities are limitless, and mostly untapped locally.

Inspite of this you must determine, by yourself, what would give you FULFILLMENT. At the end that's what counts.

PS: I'm not a nurse

Looking back I would say it probably would have been easier for us to leave at the same time.

No matter the cost, i think its mostly more economical for families to move together. I have seen tier 2 dependents denied visa before, thgh a small proportion

IHS fee rose from £200/year just in Dec 2018 and became £400 in February 2019. Now people have started paying £500 per year. Due to the unpredictability of immigration related cost for dependent, i would always suggest families move

If your employer refuses to cover maintenance for family, that puts you under pressure to save for maintenance cost.

Emotional support during those early stages of settling is also invaluable.

The challenges of power and infrastructure are not insummountable for someone in that pay grade. Most people leaving do so for economic reasons. So if I'm secure in terms of income, I'd rather stay and invest.

No need to call names guys. We all learning.

Way back in the late 70's when the factory was sited, Warri had a city status Effurun/Ekpan never had. Hence the name (for referencing). That the factory is located in Ekpan and called Warri, does not make Ekpan Warri (originally, though they have now coalesced) . A little research on the geography and political history of Warri would be helpful. I know folks who are natives of Uvwie whose language are dialetically different from natives of Warri.

Inhabitants are 'fighting'. The natives know better.

Historically, the name 'Warri' and its ownership had always been in contention, hence the balkanisation of the original Warri South.
Nowadays that contention seem to be cos of the 'brand'.

no bro, warri city is actually five local governments. With the 3 you called plus uvwie, udu and a portion of okpe( osubi side). While they are generally called warri on a broader level, they are very much autonomous
I find this post interesting cos it brings fond memories of childhood.

Warri is a specific town, precisely between Enerhen Junction (old Savannah bank in the 90's) thru to NPA and loosely, everything in between. It is the headquarters of Warri South LGA

Warri South-West was carved out of Warri South LGA (i think after the crisis) and has its hdqtrs as Ogbe-ijoh.

Warri North has its hdqtrs as Koko; that LGA is as old as the former Warri South.

Now both Koko and Ogbeijoh whilst having 'warri' in their names are not Warri. They are different entities with the status of towns same as Effurun, Aladja etc

Uvwie LGA extends from Enerhen jnc to Osubi and loosely everything in between. It used to be part of Udu LGA; the latter now reduced to cover from Enerhen Motel to Otor-udu (or Aladja? not sure again) .

In the recent decade population growth has seen Effurun town (uvwie) and the contiguous parts of Udu LGA expand to form a metropolis with the 'original' warri town, prompting us to refer to the whole metro area and adjoining towns as Warri.

But the point remains that the town of Warri, politically speaking has clearly defined landmarks and bounds, with its unique history and ethnic mix. Its ok for Effurun to be called Warri, for same reason as above, but originally, these are different towns.

Arguably, most of the vices attributed to 'Warri' are mostly indigenous to the Effurun part of Warri. Warri itself is a relatively more sane place compared to the latter.

The last paragraph is not authoritative. Its only my subjective opinion having grown up there
