France is not being realistic. So if they build the subs for Aussie, what next? It maybe rude for them to be sidelined, but I think this move is necessary to deter China's rising influence in the indo-pacific. Besides, if France was Aussie, given btw diesel-powered and nuclear-powered sub, which would they go for at this age and time? The US did same for Britain in 1958.

Europe needs to put her act together and begin to build more formidable alliances against the existential threat of China, Russia and radical Islam.

AUKUS maybe seen to benefit the defence industrial complex of US/UK, but its strategic benefit is worth more than any short term economic reward. Why would France be carried along, with all these traitors in NATO (which by the way needs to be reformed).

The US is not perfect. Every country would always do what benefits or mutually benefits them. This type of strategic thinking and positioning is what nations who want to retain a stake at the global power table should be pursuing. Not just 'putting food' on the table. The French have an axe to grind with Australia, not the US or UK.

Nigerians don't even know what is happening. These recruitments have been ongoing for years, just that this is happening at the instance of ARD strike.

Nurses are even leaving in larger numbers, and nobody is even talking about it, or at least we pretend to be unaware.

As for doctors, those to be trained to take over are leaving in droves,straight from house job, now the trainers have joined the caravan.

Please i need your advise on this.
I am a nurse here in Nigeria and i have been trying to migrate to Uk for a nursing job position. i know about the whole process of writing CBT and IELTS. My problem is that i am stuck in IELTS.. I have not passed it yet. i have been trying since 2017 and i have written it 6 times. They cost money as well.

Recently i got a Homecare Job (nursing assistance equivalent) in Uk. I am suppose to sponsor my self to uk unlike the normal NMC UK employment that will sponsor you.

I intend to take the homecare job and travel, when i get there, i will book the cbt and IELTS again. Hopefully, if i pass it, i will registered as a nurse there. At least i will be working and preparing for it.

Please anyone in the house with experience to share concerning settling down as a home care nurse. do you encourage me to do so or i should just decline it and continue writing the IELTS and cbt until i pass it and then register with NMC UK and look for proper nursing Job.. Please i need your advise.

If I remember correctly, you don't need ielts before taking the CBT. So If you have been taking ielts without luck, forget the exam for now and take CBT. Pass CBT and then return to take oet. Pls borrow money if you have to. Pls PERSIST. It would pay off. Going for a care job may further complicate the process for you.
Its best to travel to the UK as an RN. Everything is practically sponsored, including initial accommodation, provided by many trusts.

Pls change your strategy. Go for CBT, pass it, then take OET. If Indians are passing it, you can.

They have no case without a true medical report. I'm also of the opinion that they would have taken the boy to a federal medical center, than that private hospital

A govt hosp would have indeed been the better option.

A medical report states only what was found on clinical examination at presentation and what was done. No more, no less.

The report may not be sufficient to explain what had happened in the past especially if the some time had elapsed.
If the people involved are not satisfied, they could go to another hospital. Healthcare workers are not magicians. You report what you see and have done.

It's a Medical report, not a forensic report. Besides, who advised to go to a private hosp?

I think its majorly dependent on locally available resources. In UK, they build with mainly bricks and not wood. Bricks are more available. In US they mainly use wood, not cos of superior quality but cos its plentiful and makes more economic sense cos of the challenge of their climate.
In Nigeria we have more limestone than them so it makes sense to build with mortar/cement. Countries develop building culture based on what is environmentally sustainable.

I don't think houses built well with wood would out-last houses built well with bricks or mortar. I prefer Nigerian style houses. They are more classy and beautiful. American wooden houses are crap.

Our building collapse epidemic is more a question of design quality and materials standard.

The value of local currency is in the purchasing power within the locality and not in the figure in the denomination. This is why you can easily be a millionaire in Zimbabwe and will not be in Nigeria with the conversation of Zimbabwe dollar.

That is why we have what is referred to as PPP Purchasing Power Parity which varies across different countries.

As for the minimum wage earning, that's where quality of life or standard of living comes into play. Even though the dollar is not easy to make as erroneously thought of in Nigeria.

If Nigerians are being paid the same minimum wage with the Americans considering the PPP in Nigeria we'll have hype-inflation and won't make economic sense. It's not possible in practice either.

If Nigeria can keep the $1 to #150 afloat exchange rate, i bet us we'll live a better quality life than those in the US.

PPP is useless in evaluating the power of a currency beyond serving as a measure of value of a local currency within that locality.

I also agree that if the naira firms up against the usd sustainably and minimum wage improves significantly we would have an improved quality of life.

I agree with you. I think it's inaccurate to base the power of the naira on comparison between what the usd can buy and what the naira equivalent of the usd can buy. Affordability is an impt variable often overlooked. It seems more correct to compare 1usd with 1ngn.

But just to point that God does not love Trump more than the others, neither is he interested in using Trump more than he could the others. He can use whomever sits in that office. If you preach that God does not use an unclean vessel, then it negates your argument for why God is qualifying Trump above any other candidate.

Trump is as corrupt as the others in Washington, as immoral as the average unsaved person and more divisive and bigoted than Buhari. If you think Buhari is nepotic, Trump is worse. This is not media propaganda. He operates at the level of black leaders in Africa. There is a reason why 97 million ppl have voted before Nov 3rd in America. I personally think Trumps unlikely ascendancy is a punishment to America, where the Bible says he would give them children as their leaders.
