The IBB AVENUE FLOOD CONTROL PROJECT is a lengthy flood control project embarked upon by Governor Udom Emmanuel in partnership with the World Bank to arrest flooding problems in Uyo and environs.
It was built by CHINA ROAD AND BRIDGE CORPORATION (CRBC) and it's a brainchild of Governor Udom Emmanuel. It comprises both underground and surface drainages.
The State Government promptly paid its counterpart funding and lobbied the World Bank and together they have executed this N23b 9 kilometres Flood Control project that connects several Communities in Uyo and two other LGAs and terminates at a River in Nsit Ibom LGA.
The perennial flooding on IBB Avenue (and environs) has been brought to an end, permanently.
This is one project that posterity will definitely appreciate the Governor for executing.
Welcome back, bro. But try and separate Activism from politics and bias. if you want to join politics come out clear and if you wanna be an activist come out clear too.
Akwaibomdaily: The 9.5km Ring Road 3 almost set for commissioning.
It is a proven fact that without good road networks, a country's economy is bound to suffer as distribution and consumption will remain flat even if the population grows. On this note, having access to good road systems and improved infrastructure continues to be a crucial component for any government that wants to ensure the economic success of its citizens.
Governor Udom Emmanuel has kept his word by ensuring that the Ring Road 3 Project, named after the late Otuekong Idongesit Nkanga, is set and almost ready for commissioning.
This is part of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s ongoing efforts to ensure that the people of Akwa Ibom have access to good roads, as well as leverage on it's existence to build economic success.
The road's completion will allow greater economic activity to flow from the State capital into the Mbak, Mbiabong, and Ifa Atai Etoi communities of the State. Also, the road will connect the Nung Oku axis of Aka Nung Udoe Road with the Nsukara Offot axis of Nwaniba Road.
The Ring road 3 is one of the longest dual carriageways in the metropolis and might be considered a piece of contemporary city furniture. The road has a cutting-edge subsurface drainage system and pedestrian walkways to provide safety and comfort to people traversing the road on a daily basis.
The road is one of the 5 star projects done in fulfilment of the Completion Agenda of Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration and is named the Idongesit Nkanga Avenue, in memory of the first indigenous Military Administrator of Akwa Ibom State.
To further show Governor Udom Emmanuel’s commitment to the Dakkada philosophy, the road was awarded and constructed by an indigenous construction company named Hensek Integrated Services.
This guy is the reason I don't trust all these so-called human rights activists, cos the very day they get into power using their so-called "Activism", they'll start doing the same things they protested against.
Agba Jalingo in one of his interviews said that he one day called Festus Keyamo SAN on phone and asked him how he was managing to defend the "fuel subsidy" that they were together protesting against during the GEJ administration when He Keyamo wasn't by then in the corridors of power. Cos He had listened to He Keyamo defending Fuel subsidy in a lie Tv interview. imagine this high level of hypocrisy
Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has urged Nigerian politicians to remove religion from politics.
Bello spoke while stressing that the Muslim-Muslim ticket of the All Progressives Congress, APC, was a perfect match.
He spoke while appearing on Channels Televisions programme, Sunrise Daily.
According to Bello, Nigerians would be happy with the combination of APC presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima as running mate.
He said: “On the issue of this Muslim-Muslim ticket, it’s high time we take religion out of politics. Nigerian politicians should be more mature; we should take politics out of it.
“Tinubu-Shettima is a perfect match. When you have a one-on-one with these gentlemen, you will know that we are coming up with a combination that Nigerians will be happy with.
“Tinubu and Shettima are a complete departure from what is happening now.”
Nigerians have decried and condemned the APC’s Muslim-Muslim presidential ticket.
She's already a loser by saying that she'll return to Nollywood if her party loses in the Governorship election of 2023. When you start at the inception to plan or say what you're going to do if you fail, then you've already planned to fail.
