Career / Re: Is The Legal Profession As Lucrative As It Used To Be? by Nestoville(m): 5:28pm On Jul 18, 2020
This epistle is for aspiring lawyers and for non lawyers who don’t understand the profession. There is no profession without challenges, the only reason law is being addressed here is because it is unique! Studying engineering or sociology or agric economics does not guarantee you success, what guarantees success is your being good in what you do and Gods Favour, time and chance plays a big part in success stories.

Now being a lawyer does not only entail court practice, there are lawyers in banks, oil companies, telecoms etc most organizations have legal departments. The benefits of being a lawyer include, if you join the civil service including the armed forces you are given one level ahead of your mates, also you can do the job of a sociologist or political scientist and even an accountant if you are a smart corporate lawyer but most of these professions can’t do your job! If you travel abroad, US for instance, and decide to work as a lawyer all you need to do is pass the bar exams there, you are internationally recognized, you don’t have to go through the school process again. Another good thing is while working in a normal position you can also do legal consultancy while holding down you salary job, ultimately you are a professional and can work for yourself and start your own thing, you can’t go hungry if you are smart and resourceful. The knowledge and prestige is also there, get a law degree and have some /honesty/passion and you are an asset to your community and a good candidate for political positions. Why do you think a lot of made men go back to study law. The judicial arm of Govt is almost exclusive to lawyers, which profession has an arm of Govt to themselves? The National Assembly are not called law makers for nothing. Forget charge and bail, you are what you make of yourself, even some charge and bail are doin well, bail and representation for a big case is big money, breakthrough money and any lawyer can handle it from a green horn to Senior Advcocate. The beautiful thing about law is that broke lawyer you are seeing today can really make it overnight legitimately, he can hit big, not yahoo hit big o. Anyways love lawyers, it’s legal!

Politics / Re: How To Develop South East Nigeria To An International Standard. by Nestoville(m): 1:09am On Jul 24, 2016
[Aquote author=Adaure4ever post=47820792]One Of My Deep passionate dreams is to see a well developed South East Geopolitical Zone.
South East comprise of 5 states, Abia, Enugu, Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi and for this states to be developed, they need to be centralized and united in planning.

Number 1
Setting Up A South East Developing Cooperation(SEDC) that will be sponsored by the 5 SE Governors and will have their branch offices in every states in the south east.

Number two
Opening Up A Joint saving Account Of The 5 SE States where
a) a deposit of atleast 200million per state governor will be made every month.
200million x 5 states=1 Billion per month
b)50million per month by the 15 senators in South East.
50million x 15= 750million per month
c) 10million per month by the 30
Federal house of reps from South East.
10millionx 30= 300million per month.
----
NOW ADD THEM UP TOGETHER= 1 Billion plus 750million plus 300million= 2 billion,50million naira.
----
Then if SEDC realise approximately 2 billion per month, multiply it by 12month= 24billion naira.
Multiply the yearly 24billion naira by 10years = 240Billion naira.
Thats means that 240billion naira will be in South East Development Cooperation(SEDC) account in just a span of 5years upon establishment.
---
- With 240billion invested in South East, will it not develop the Geopolitical zone the more, make it a hot investment zone and attract Igbo business men back.
For example,
- 1. If Akwa Ibom state completes its seaport, SEDC can build a Light Rail project from Aba to The seaport in Akwa Ibom, in order to boost up a close importation and revive south east economy.
---
- 2. SEDC can build a multipurpose industrial park in Nnewi, investors are on ground to key into the project.

----
- 3. SEDC can pull investors to invest in Enugu Coal inorder to Power up the South East. Enugu coal can serve the 5SE states in constant electricity for up to 100years.

----
- 4. SEDC can launch and build an Agro-industrial and processing zone in Ebonyi state inorder to tap into their Agricultural potential and create jobs.

----
- 5. SEDC can turn Owerri into an Educational and Tourism base in SE.
A University that will be international standard can be built in Imo and the tourism potential of the state harnessed like the oguta lake.
----
- 6. SEDC can fix SE federal roads by itself.
IGBOS, We are a unique people, let us look inward and develop the south east.
We are on our own in this country- Adaure4ever [/quote]

Hey can I kiss u? Or a better option, can I put the 240 billion Naira in that account already. Thanks.

I appreciate some comments certain persons have made here. Terrorism is Nigeria should not stop at just defeating Boko Haram. We need to reorientate those northerners that kill at the slightest provocation that its wrong. That's the root of terrorism in the North, its been embedded in the family units, parents must start teaching their young ones not to kill innocent people and destroy property. Its a herculean task that one, one they are not keen on pursuing.

Long over due, I hope the govt will really sincerely look inward to such projects if they win this election. I like the run APC is giving them, its bringing out their better acts. These are the kind of projects that will make our country truly great by creating jobs, boosting our self esteem and most importantly setting the trend for practical technological know how. Let the world know blacks can truly be independent. God please help us.

Sometimes i wonder why We don't remember the past, the North has always wanted Sharia now boko wants to implement it only this time there has been collateral damage . Our military has been tribalised underfundedand politicized over the years by the same people who claim for change and same people who want to continue ruling. Is our military not comparable to our police our power sector our roads our parastatals, our hate We sometimes show here? Its not Just a single problem attributable only to the military or government Its a Nigerian problem, and the sabotage in the North East is complicated ask Christians from Gwoza, until We have true federalism and allow regions our people decide in truth how they want to co-exist We can continue with the charade, until then We can function optimal

As much as I like to have my own room or let me say my only sanctuary, that will have to be sacrificed in a union else why have a union? Man and wife should share the same room. You can have a private study or drawing room whatever, but 1 bedroom with your wife is best. Its biblical too.
