sorry i'ce been busy o and NEPA doesnt help, the bpko thingy shown in the log is a virus google it and u shld see how to get rid of it,

are they genuine keys?cos i know some nuisances go about selling keys they downloaded which eventually get blacklisted!

anyway we want to start using solar energy at home(abuja) and i'd appreciate any help i could get on that

if u cld paste the names and adresses of companies that cld do the installation that'd be perfect!. i'd also like to have an idea of how much it would cost and other details

if u like listen to all the ppl saying when u feel like it u hear. . . then when she dumps u come and open another topic "my girlfriend dumped me and i didnt do anything", it depends on the person. . . there are some ppl that u'll tell that and they'll disappear o! take it slow even if it feels like ur heart'll burst if u dont say it, thats the mark of a man that has control of himself, one that doesnt allow his emotions to rule his actions!

system restore?

start taskmanager and close explorer then from file-->>new (or you can use command prompt)
try to reinstall the antivirus it could be that the virus is a dll that links with explorer
and then run hijackthis (google it) you can post the log here and we'll see if we can sort it out for you or you can post it on the HJT forum
in the interim i suggest backing up your important files!

they way you go about stating your problem is just perfect, i mean from the post we already know what the problem is (in case you havent noticed i'm being sarcastic)

have you checked if there is voltage on the jack? connect a multimeter to it one one the inside one on the outside (if u get it wrong it'll show a minus on the screen just reverse the terminals) check wot the voltage is(dont forget to set the meter to DC 20V) it should show 18.5 ot somefink check under your laptop or the power pack to be sure

or it could be that you didnt put the power jack in firmly but in the interim try and be more specific wiv your problem statement!

i think maybe its time for me to start looking for another browser o! small boy or not.

truth is you prolly wont use ur computer up to level where any of the above'll count(most esp the heat) but for me i'm an intel person sha!

both abatakan and dhtml are right. . . but personally(in the true fashion of a computer nerd) i wont pay for anything until i'm 100% sure i cant get it free!*(plus i kinda get the feeling that a lot of ppl on NL try to sell stuff they get for free and that so defeats the principles of opensource)

dudeu misunderstood the guy. . . he meant stuff IN the recycle bin not the bin itself, u cant delete the bin itself now

there are a cple of softwares u can use but they will take time so if its not super important u can like to cut ur losses. try active undelete or getdataback (not sure thats the correct name) or pic filerecovery

ooyb had a post like last week where he recovered the contents of a formatted drive he listed some good softwares there u can search of r it if u like!

and after that he can jump into the lagoon

it works like that cos at higher altitudes there are less obstructions to the path of the signal

i agree with u but i somehow think that arming ppl with cd's and dvd's to format the computer population of the world(well in this case NL) makes life more difficult cos once u start formatting a computer regularly i'll be losing disk space and not to talk of all the "i formatted my computer and ____ is not working anymore cases"

with firefox all u need to do is install an addon that lets u change ur IP adress, i use switchproxy but there are others!

first u download a torrent client(utorrent, bittorrent etc),
then install it
then search on torrent sites for links to the content u want then download the torrent double clicking it shld cos it to open in the client

using download softwares is pretty intuitive just start using them u'll pick it up as u go along!


and feel free to check up torrents on wikipedia

for me, KAV major selling point in addition to being a pretty hood antivirus is the monitoring of the registry that it does thats the main reason i'd use it even tho at the moment i use NOD32 sha
