MangekyoAlt: what THAAD? THAAD isn't even a tested missile defence. THAAD is yet to see combat, which is why even experts in the USA don't even rate it higher that the Russian S-400. Meanwhile, even if THAAD was competent, it would struggle to intercept ultra hypersonic missiles like the Russian Sarmat ICBM which is more than 30 times the speed of sound. Note, this Sarmat can be equipped with Avangard glide vehicle which is more than 30 times the speed of sound too. Meanwhile, USA had said to intercept a hypersonic missild, you need to create another missile that is faster than it for the interception to be successful. So far USA don't even any missile that is even Mach 10. The chances of intercepting a Russian ICBM is 0.
Hahahaha Aerial dominance against a country like Russia? Russia possess the best Sam's in the world. In fact no country comes close to Russia when it comes to defence systems. They have been researching defence systems because they know USA does actually have more aerial capability. If the USA were to engage Russia, I doubt they would be stupid enough to use aircrafts because the moment they enter Russian airspace, they're automatically getting shot down. Go and ask Ukraine. Ukraine hasn't used their airforce against the pro Russian seperatists In Ukraine since Russia gave them the BUK SAM and they shot down 5 Ukrainian aircraft. Till today, Ukraine hasn't deployed any aircraft against them USA tests weapons all the time. They're being reported. You don't see them because you're dumb, and useless
] USA huge defence budget is because USA has presence in many countries. USA has 800 bases around the world and to maintain these bases as well as the troops on them, you need money. Electricity, food, vehicle maintainance, aircraft and ships. All military personnel are paid from that money. USA aircraft carriers require $60billion yearly just to maintain. Before we talk about, destroyers, submarines, and aircraft, you will see that the maintainance of these hardwares have taken a huge chunk of that money. There are private companies in Russia too. No big deal. USA with the best brains? Now don't be dumb. The man who researched USA's nuclear weapons isn't even an American. USA hired many nazi scientists after The USSR defeated Germany. Everyone knows this
The Chinese and Russians have never done anything that would make me think they would enslave us. Racism in Russia is extremely minimal compared to USA and Britain. Also, who colonized you and stole all your resources? Russia or the west? which defense system protected UAE against ballistic missiles just of recent can you mention just one real combat test of the S-400? |

Winters23: Only one country in the world have ever deployed a nuclear weapon killing hundreds of thousands in an instant.
How can that same country also claim only them have the “self control” not to use it needlessly? because they have been in more wars than any other country and haven't used it since. Now can you vouch for the other countries to maintain the same restraint? Especially those ones that sees dying as a rite of passage? |

That was why Donald was smart enough to offer the olive branch. SMH... how are they more hostile to Iran? Both countries are under sanctions or are they not? With the recently introduced "MaskID" embedded in iOS 15.4 public beta released by Apple; there have been a quiet a noise about it in the tech-verse.
For iPhone users, this update is great given the situation the world is in now but as usual there's a small minority of people mostly Android folks that keep asking "why not introduce fingerprint back on the iPhone?"
Although to me, both system are good at what they are meant to do, there is one statement that the pro fingerprint group keep making that usually sounds okay on the surface until you reason it deeply then you find out how dumb the statement is.
The statement isn't really the problem but the vast majority of people that are quick to point it out. I fear for future generations if basic thinking is hard for our generation to do.
Here's the statement which is usually in the Top 5 points on why fingerprint is better than FaceID:
[i]"With fingerprint, you can unlock your phone without looking at it."[\i]
As we can agree, on the surface it sounds reasonable to be considered a good point but if you think it further it begs the question "why would you unlock your phone if you don't intend to look at it in the first place?" Because once you look at your phone FaceID comes into play which invalidate the whole point.

So PremiumTimes defense is that they reach out to Obi aide and he said he did not say that. Is that how to do journalism? Will Obi have said he said it? You go fear for Nigeria media.
Me I don’t even care, he has the right to call it a Yoruba party because it’s politics. The Yorubas also have the right to repay back if need be when he need their support at the polls.
His brethren also called APC Ewedu and Fulani party. It’s politics and you can say anything to curry favor, you shouldn’t just cry when the other side retaliate in kind. funny how you're doing the same thing you're accusing Premium Times of doing without seeing the hypocrisy. Like I said you don’t know anything about Syria war Russia military started in 2015 at the request of Syria president in Sept. USA sec of defence was in Italy. Go and look the map of Syria in 2015 till now. The biggest ISIS siege was against the Government troops in Deir_ez-Zo. I have been following Syria, Libya and Yemen war since 2011. SDF have never ever talk about remove Assad, they disagree with him? Yes but removing is never there because SDF is made of both Kurds and Arabs.
Even when late McCain told Gen Austin why don’t USA used SDF to remove Assad the Austin replied then Russia jets will be targeting SDF and PKK. Even your almighty CNN posted the hearing at the senate. Picture of before and after Russia came to Syria spin and spin and spin..... there's an irrefutable proof that the US-led coalition dismantled and reclaimed more area against ISIS but here you are trying to change the facts. SMH... "Almighty CNN", I pretty sure at this point you guys just follow the bandwagon. Can you point out something obvious that CNN deliberately kept out of coverage? Western media have been known to take a more unbiased stand when reporting events even though the media is controlled by the government. Next time you want to tag the CNN as a government apologist might well be best to look at your side first |

Gen Austin answered in the senate hearing is all on CNN and YouTube. Russia was the only attacking both ISIS and so called freedom fighters aka Terrorists that USA and her allies supported to removed Assad typical!! did you read points? I doubt because when faced with the Truth, you guys spin and spin and spin. let me summarise it for you. US-led coalition started fighting the ISIS since 2014. Russia started their campaign in 2017 which by that time ISIS had been dismantled and the SDF was moving to overthrow Assad which is what Russia prevented. So which ISIS are you talking about? Well I'm waiting for you to deploy you guys usual "western propaganda". Abi how long should I wait for it |

They set them up with a government, financed them and established a military equipped with US arsenals. As at the time of the pull out they had 300,000 soldiers with state of the art equipments that is the envy of other developing countries. They left them with billions of dollars which their president and his politician friends promptly embezzled. But it took 50,000 terrorists with Kalashnikovs to take over. Same USA and her allies were making noises in MSM that Russia are killing their moderate freedom fighters because to Russia, they are Terrorists. Now same USA is calling them Terrorists. Idlib is one to all those so called freedom fighters aka Terrorists the USA and her allies supported to take down Assad government until Russia came. Really? I'm not surprised at all, just like the Russians the only thing you guys are good at is pushing propaganda. Now you're trying to equate the SDF to ISIS. Next you'll come up with how the US funded ISIS. Here's Russian admitting their presence in Syria wasn't about the ISIS but I'm sure you know better right?? "The research laid out below leaves little doubt that the United States and its allies in the anti-ISIS coalition—key among them Iraqi troops, Kurdish Peshmerga and the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces, or SDF, as well as Syrian Arab fighters—played a primary role in subduing ISIS, while Russia and its allies played an auxiliary role that contributed only marginally to the terrorist group’s defeat. This follows from three factors: (1) that U.S.-led forces dislodged ISIS from more key strongholds and square miles of territory than did Russia; (2) that, despite a major Russian military deployment to Syria beginning in September 2015, Moscow’s campaigns against ISIS began in earnest only in 2017, when the group had already been severely weakened and was compelled to concentrate its forces on fighting the U.S.-backed SDF advance in eastern Syria; and (3) that, in the words of political analyst Vladimir Frolov, Moscow’s main goal had never been to fight ISIS but “to suppress the armed opposition to [President] Bashar Assad’s regime, which by fall 2015 had lost control over 70 percent of the country’s territory and was on the verge of military defeat.”6 Frolov’s assessment, likewise voiced by numerous U.S. experts, finds some reflection in the Russian Defense Ministry’s own 2017 end-of-year statistics on its Syria campaign, which made no distinction between ISIS facilities/fighters and those of other “terrorists” and “militants.”.. |

Trentee4eva: Foolish post. Isis took 2/3rd of Syria and were selling oil to Turkey at a very cheap price. It was Russia that helped the Syrian Army to reclaim most of those areas and you are here writing nonsense. If the US hadn’t invaded Iraq, they would be no ISIS today. Still there was no weapon of mass destruction in Iraq like they claimed before invading Iraq. because you guys don't like to read. Talking about Iraq, please tell that to Kuwait that was invaded by Hussein or to thousands that were killed when Al Qaeda operated for free deep inside Iraq. Even the Russians admitted that their presence in Syria wasn't to fight the ISIS but you know better. Take a look for yourself maybe you'll learn something; I doubt but maybe: "The research laid out below leaves little doubt that the United States and its allies in the anti-ISIS coalition—key among them Iraqi troops, Kurdish Peshmerga and the Kurdish-dominated Syrian Democratic Forces, or SDF, as well as Syrian Arab fighters—played a primary role in subduing ISIS, while Russia and its allies played an auxiliary role that contributed only marginally to the terrorist group’s defeat. Appleyard: lmao. US Central Command for the Middle East was located in Iraq in 2015, don't be daft.
Stop being knowingly ignorant. The CSTO mobilisation to Kazakhstan was so rapid as such that military analysts couldn't help taking notes. Geography my foot.
Why don't you define mobilisation... The fact that no bureaucracy surrounded the mobilisation makes it a great success at such short notice. Imagine if this was NATO....God knows how many political hiccups it would have gotten before even thinking of assembling a meaningful force.
Don't delve into issues when you know nothing about it. It is someone that is ignorant that would say Russia lacks logistic and mobilisation capacity to wage war. you sound like someone I know on this forum. if I was a gamble, I'd say the odds are in my favour that you are the one. Any analyst that like you claim took note of Russia deploying paratroopers on invitation doesn't deserve to be called an analyst. You want to know impressive, the US could deploy anywhere in the world within the same time frame. this is funny, I can bet even Nigeria can deploy paratroopers to Ghana on invitation within the same time frame. it is not you guys fault though, being reduced to just a regional bully means you guys will look to make the most of trivial matters. Foreign Affairs › Re: US Navy's Newest Stealth Fighter Crashes Into The Sea by neuf(m): 5:29pm On Jan 30, 2022 |
Appleyard: Russia can't afford logistics and mobilisation? You're highly ignorant. The problem with folks like you is that either you equate everything to the Dollar value, instead of PPP of the country concerned or you relied too much on western media lobsided narrative and sheer misinformation drive. Either or both of these has been the undoing of your views about Russia's ability to wage war. But the reality speaks otherwise.
In early 2015, when a Russian general stepped into the office of the US CENTCOM office in Iraq, and handed a 'One hour clear-the-air' notice to the US military, and the next day saw Russian planes pounding the 'moderate' from the rebels in Syria with Kalibre cruise missiles from submarines crossing various countries to hit their targets deep inside Syria, which effectively ended the American dream of overthrowing Assad and swing the tide back to the regime, most American analysts and propangadised politicians were left in shock. The US Senate committee on Defence even summoned Pentagon and demanded explanations on how was Russia so able to mobilized rapidly at such short notice . You know why? Because, just like you, they have been fed the misinformation narrative that Russia doesn't have the economy to afford logistics and quick mobilisation of such magnitude beyond its borders. Same mistake you are making now.
If the recent brouhaha in Kazakhstan is anything to go by, you shouldn't have made this ignorant comment. The CSTO was able to mobilize and deploy so rapidly at short notice that has won much commendations from critics alike, and 90 percent of that troop and deployed techs were made up of Russian forces. This is not the 1990s when the Soviet Union collapsed and Russia was left static and witless. This is a new Russia in every sense of the world new, and recent realities indicated that your claims that Russia has no logistics and ability to mobilize was not only misinformed but a manifestation of western propaganda. You will do well to see Russia in new light. Facts don't lie. I could reply you but you don't even know USCENTCOM is in America not Iraq. and then you mention Kazakhstan. Do you even any Knowledge of Geography? or do you even know what mobilisation entails? |
