I am not. I would be applying there next year for fall session. His profile would easily attract full funding there. The competition isn't much. Most people don't want to move to Nebraska.
I'm doing the same. I sent you a PM. Let's work on this together bro

Your WAEC results aren’t that great to be honest... considering you’ve listed mostly Ivy League schools as your target. You’ll need to ace your SATs to have a chance at all. You stand little chance of getting in or getting full ride scholarships to those schools... so how do you intend to cover tuition at MIT?

Best advice - see above.
If MIT admits him, then he will never have to worry about tuition there.

Thanks for responding man. I'm sure you'll have a great time in Nebraska. Prepare for the winter as well as a lot of corn. Is it OK if I send you a PM? I'm intending to ask for your whatsapp number if you have one, so if that's OK, kindly send me your WhatsApp number if you receive my PM.
Thanks!

If you just graduated from a University without any work experience then your references might mostly be academic. Also considering that your references are expected to be people that can attest to your academic and/or professional prowess.

But if you have some professional experience then you can go with 2 professional and 1 academic.

Goodluck!
Thank you!!

Most schools specify who can write for you.
Some will accept letters from both academic letters and former employer while some will only accept academic letters. So confirm from the school's website
Thanks. The reason I asked here is because the school does not specify on the website. I also emailed the grad coordinator and department, but no answer.

Most often than not, it is strongly advised that your three referees are Lecturers that either knows you or have taught you before in your previous program.

However, there is no harm in having a reference-mix when your school did not mandate the otherwise. In this case, you can go with an employer or superior at work place and two references from academics.

Any of the above cases will suffice as it wasn't outrightly specified.
Thanks so much!!

Those who are familiar with grad school applications, in regards to the three letters of recommendation requirement, I'm wondering if these three letters must be academic letters from instructors who taught the student at college, or can the student have a letter from a high school official too or a personal letter from anyone? Can you also have letters from an employer? It's asking for three letters of rec, but doesn't specify the types of people who should write them.

Great news! Thanks for sharing

You have to appear in person for your biometrics. I had thought they would transfer the one I did at Ikoyi, but they didn't. I had to travel all the way from Urbana-Champaign to DC. But really, it was an amazing experience. I used the opportunity to see The White House and other places in DC. DC is damn beautiful! grin grin grin

PS: I don't quite get what you mean by how much in total. I assume you mean passport, feeding, airbnb, metro, flight and all. I spent about $600 (spent 4 days in DC). NPVS charges $165 for passport renewal while direct payment is just $106.
Thanks, you already answered it all. So, to schedule an appointment, I need to start by calling NPVS or the Nigerian embassy in DC? I really dont wanna travel all the way to DC just for passport renewal.

I just wanna know where to start, like the person to call and start the scheduling processing. I like your wordplay up there tho, indomie generation wouldn't know what is 2go

I just did mine last week at the DC embassy. Right now it is hellish, as there are tons of applicants still on the queue since far back as January. The NY embassy is still closed down, Atlanta refused to reply any emails, so I had to apply though NPVS (an agency that relays your application though innovate1). It costs more but was worth it for me. The embassy at DC only resumed skeletal services on the 1st of July, and has been mandated to attend to ONLY 20 applicants per day.
Damn, did you have to go all the way to DC or you did it online? I'm in California and wouldn't want to travel to DC for this. If you did online, could you pls share the link including contacts of the agency? Also, how much did it cost you in total? Thanks for responding.

oga, I schooled in all boys seminary School..

Humans can be influenced into indulging in same sex activities..
Take it or leave it
Influenced into doing something does not make them innately gay. People like to explore, they can try out new things, but that does not make them gay and it's not sustainable. Homosexuality is not like alcoholism.

How do guys there even cope with such boredom?
You're asking me how we cope with it? Now, tell me how you'll answer a Canadian if he/she asks you this: "How do you guys even cope with all the kidnapping, bad roads, malnutrition, fights, diseases, poor healthcare, no power supply, and unstable internet in Nigeria?"

The way you cope there is the way we cope here. Humans will always adapt. It's not like we have an option.
TravelRe: Is It True Campus Life Is Boring In Canada ? by neurosci: 8:44pm On May 30, 2020
Yes, it is boring especially if you go to a small school. Large schools like Uni of Waterloo or Uni of British Columbia are better because the more the people, the easier it is to find your match. It is not as boring for their citizens as it is for you because you have to remember that you're different. If a Canadian student comes to study in Nigeria, he or she would experience the same thing due to being different.

When it comes to the dating scene or generally having fun, always remember this: you are black, you are an immigrant, you are a man. These three factors do not ever work in your favor. Pay attention to the law so you do not get in trouble. The worst that can happen to you is for a white girl to accuse you of anything. Even if she lies against you, you still can't come out of it due to the three factors I mentioned. Your best bet is to always stay low-key and forget the fun. That's not why you came, it is not your country.

What is it that you're seeing that isn't palatable? I'm more knowledgeable about Ann-arbor and Flint, but you can still bring your questions on Dearborn.
