obaaderemi:I see, the OP has deleted her post, so I didn't know 10c was in the original question, so I was like, this solution is wrong. |
HedwigesMaduro:I just saw this thread. On question 1, how's she correct - where did the c in 5c come from, when in the original question it is not 10c? On line 2, question 1. |
jojothaiv:People have no problem with tapins, they only have problems when you compare a tapin master with a player like Messi. Compare tapin players with each other, like, who is the greatest tapin player ever, but never compare any player to Messi! |
Beverlyjean:So, why are you blaming Man U saying they should let him go instead of you to be blaming Ronaldo for not dropping his wages? |
Beverlyjean:None of the clubs wanted him. If they did, they’d pay the fee. When a club needs a player, they do everything they can to get him. Ask how much PSG paid to acquire Neymar, even when Barca didn’t want him to leave. 30m is not too high for any of those clubs to pay, they simply didn’t pay it because they didn’t want him. They have paid more for smaller players. And you can’t expect Man U to send him out for free and run at a loss after spending a lot to acquire him. Man U are not a charity organization. |
Beverlyjean:They didn’t allow him or no club wanted him ![]() |
Peacecore:I just tire. When Ronaldo won a CL at Man U, he was surrounded by an excellent team and an excellent coach. Man U were literally one of the best teams in the world at the time and Sir Alex was one of the best coaches. This is proven by the fact that after he left, Man U still went on to the finals of the CL two years later to meet the same Barca. At Madrid, Ronaldo was surrounded by an excellent team too. Madrid was one of the best teams in the world. At Sporting, he wasn’t surrounded by an excellent team, so he never won anything there. So, clearly, Ronaldo needs a great team around to achieve anything. He couldn’t achieve anything at Juve, despite going there to supposedly “prove” he could do it everywhere and he still can’t achieve anything at Man U! So where does the narrative that Ronaldo can do it anywhere, all by himself, comes from? Every player needs a good team to succeed. They really overhyped that guy, and now the pressure is so much! |
OfficialP:Oh, so the team had been helping Ronaldo all this while?? I thought he could do it all alone, in any team, and only Messi needs a particular team! |
naijamanyoutube:I’d love to respond to this, but I’m worried I’d end up writing a 1000-word essay to fully express myself on this subject without leaving important points, and the last thing I’d want to do is derail this beautiful thread How many years did it take for you to get your PR after your siblings filed for you? |
. |
naijamanyoutube:I really love the way you put this, and this is something I’ve been trying to explain to my roommate but she never gets it. It doesn’t matter what someone says about themselves, so far they don’t allow that to limit them. |
I really enjoy everything about this thread - thanks for sharing, OP. The only part I disagree with is where OP said tribalism in Nigeria is worse than racism in the US. I respectfully disagree, Sir. That said, OP, do you mind sharing what visa you moved to the US with and how you adjusted your status to permanent residency, since it wasn't through marriage? One love. |
kroger:That’s the way to go! That’s motivation right there. |
Congrats! |
Do you know what a full-ride scholarship means? It means full tuition, room, board, books, insurance, flight, and personal expenses. Simply put, every expense, including a stipend to cover for personal expenses. What school will cover all of these? Try Harvard, Yale, and MIT - you must show proof of severe need. I doubt they will cover every damn thing, except maybe Harvard. Full-ride scholarships are typically not awarded by the schools, they are usually awarded by specific scholarship organizations, such as the Rhodes Trust that awards a full-ride to attend the University of Oxford through the Rhodes Scholarship. These types of programs are usually extremely competitive. Try applying for scholarships like the Opportunity Fund organized by EducationUSA - I doubt they cover flights and personal expenses though. Another one is the MasterCard scholarship for specific partner universities. You could also try the Knight Hennessy scholarship for Stanford or the Fullbright opportunity. Grad students have an upper hand than undergrads because if they could get grad assistantships, scholarships like these could cover the rest. The best bet for undergrads would be to first aim for their university merit scholarship (if the school offers one), then add these types of external scholarships to culminate in a full ride. Good luck! |
Rastaramsey:Maybe try use Buhari trabaye first before we believe you |
Ok, so clearly there was no right prediction. Congrats to Real Madrid. |
Where’s Mikel? Haven’t heard from him for a while. Also his IG has not been updated since last Christmas? Does he play anywhere now? What’s he been up to?
|
SenecaTheYonger:I’m honestly tired. And the stupid nairaland and supposedly educated seun that allow things like this. I wonder why the black man is like this. Why does no black person see anything wrong in this? |
If your intention is to motivate people, I think you need to go into more specifics. Let’s start with the emboldened part: You said, At first, the area was so so boring to me, no place to go, no friends to roll with and worst of all no single person on the whole street.Has any of this changed now? If so, how did it change? What were your socialization strategies that stopped it from being boring? Are people on the streets now? Why weren’t they on the streets initially, the snow? How did you make friends if you couldn’t in the beginning? They say jobs are everywhere, true, but mostly warehouse jobs, home care jobs and other menial jobs. For starters, I worked in a warehouse but I quit after 2months cuz I have to stand, and walk throughout a shift of ten hours.Well, the warehouse jobs are for people without specialized skills. What skills did you go with? How did you transition into IT - did you have any prior knowledge? What aspects of IT and how did you find opportunities in this “boring” area? I see some snow in your pictures and since you said boring, my guess is that this is some Midwest. Do you care sharing what state this is? |
CSTRR:I was gonna say the same but I didn’t want anyone to attack me here. There are several people with gold medals in the International Mathematics Olympiad, so there’s no yardstick to measure the best in the world at her age, and she doesn’t even have an IMO gold medal yet. If she gets an IMO gold medal and backs it up with a Putnam Prize when she gets to college, then she can stand a chance. But even with the Fields Medal, which is the greatest mathematical award, no one is still clearly considered the greatest mathematician in the world, not even Terrence Tao. |
hopefulmindhdd:It all depends on the school you’re applying to - different schools with different policies. But what I’m asking is your GPA. Sounds like this would need to be evaluated to see where your GPA falls. Anything from a 3.7/4.0 and above would give you an excellent shot. |
hopefulmindhdd:What's your high school transcript like? What were your grades - SS1 to SS3? |
Gokoyer1401:Ok, I’ll check each one of them. Thanks. |
Gokoyer1401:Do you mind sharing a list of some that you know? After lots of research, the only ones I found which do not are for-profit, private universities. I'd like a list of public universities that do not have that requirement. |
bukhety:What?? If they assume people forge documents, that will make them check documents even more, not less. |
sonnie10:It varies from school to school. For some schools, summa cum laude is 4.0, nothing less. |
sonnie10:You got a 4.0 in undergrad? |
Fall2021:Haha it seems like you moved during the winter to one of the coldest places which is Illinois. I always encourage people to move during the fall so they can slowly assimilate if they’re moving to a cold region. |
jfkenny:Fixed. |
If I also was a politician enjoying the national cake, I definitely would want one Nigeria. |
But one thing I believe we politicians all have in common — We share the national cake, therefore, One Nigeria.Fixed. |
