Please I ve an urgent enquiry.

After receiving my PPR mail, I sent my passport as well as original marriage cert, sworn affidavit and newspaper publication( my former passport used at the initial stage of the application carried my maiden name)

The passports( mine, spouse and child) was returned but the original docs were not returned.

I ve sent a mail to Accra office but no response yet.

please advise; how do I contact them? Are there chances of the docs being returned?

I did this before and when i found out that you "might" not get a refund if you are seen to live in canada, i changed the address and immediately made the request.

Please if someone in Nigeria used a Canada address for sending the hard copy of evaluation. Can the person still eligible to claim tax refund? This is my case though, Thk you.

No its not, I requested for mine about two weeks after i made payment. Just mention that since you do not live in Canada, you are aware that you are not required to pay HST and you are therefore requesting a refund. You will get a response from them.

Yes, it is after the evaluation.

I got my HST refund. Thanks to all those that were instrumental to making that happen.

If you used GTB just be patient, it takes a while for refund to reflect. It may tarry, but it will surely arrive. WES refunded me on the 17th, but it did not reflect till 26th.

Was the same thing for me until i got a cancellation mail o. I just emailed them back and forwarded my initial mail showing all the relevant details
and they responded with an apology and by the next day, i got an official confirmation for the date allotment.

Omo, I just got cancellation mail from them today o; retards!!! even after I made same day payment after registering and sent them the required mail with all my details immediately. Things just cant work seemlessly in this country sha.

Please go to their office with your details and proof of payment or have someone go for you. Don't let them cancel your test date.

As for refund, you can try sha but long thing. It takes 40 days and there are terms and conditions attached.

Please that number never goes through o, or is there any other number I can reach them on?.
Im even considering cancelling totally and getting a refund and using the MOD IDP since they have closer test dates

I’m not sure you can change it.

But you can try. I was in a similar situation last year, they refused to change it. But maybe mine was because I had gotten a confirmation mail and I had been assigned a candidate number. You can contact them through the phone as early as 8am on Monday.

Mine has not been confirmed and I paid about a week ago. Should I be worried?

There's no BC in Benin, i believe Godsaysyes meant you should get someone in Lagos to help u register...on another note though, online payments are working...i paid online for mine and my hubby did his a few weeks ago...I noticed confirmation is faster if the account you paid from has the same name you registered with

I have made payment, thats why I am more pensive about this.

If you haven’t, you can register for the 7th April, make payment ASAP and let the later date 21st cancel on it’s own.
But note that you cannot register for the same date twice

Please help o!!!! In addition, after i registered for IELTS the earliest dat available at the time was 21st April (tried 7th April but I was notified that it was fully booked). However I just realized that 3 days after when trying to register for the hubs that 7th April is now available (guessing they cancelled some people's registration). My question is, is it possible to have my exam rescheduled to an earlier date, anyone had such experience;
please confirm ASAP so I can try to switch dates. Thanks

It is the one on the right top of your data page which begins with a single alphabet. The same passport number is also printed at the middle bottom on the next page where you have the Nigerian coat of arms. I hope you can find it now.

Please pardon my seeming naivety, i just want to avoid stories that touch. When paying for IELTS, the last two digits that are referred to by
"the last two digits of your international passport" ; Are they the last two digits of the intl passport number on the top right of the passport date page or the last two digits that are shown on the bottom right of the data page.

Is it common practise to state immigration as the reason for writing the IELTS test?

Thanks....I was actually more worried because like I mentioned, if I do the name change now, things like my PoF which is in Tbills and my maiden name would require some form of further identification or no?

If you want to do a name change on your passport (at least for married women), you'd need your marriage certificate, news paper publication of name change and maybe declaration of marriage. With this three documents, you won't need a one and same person affidavit.

However, you may choose to renew your passport in your maiden name, it's absolutely fine. If you do this, it simply means your PCC, Medicals, IELTS TRF (if you'd be taking the test), Name on EE Profile (be you PA or dependant), ultimately your CoPR and even PR Card - save to say other documents and processes to do upon landing - will all be in your maiden name.

I don't know process of name change in Canada but I do know to get those three documents earlier mentioned in Nigeria wouldn't cost you much time or energy, so why not change it now. If you do have the documents though, then effect the name change but you wouldn't need one and same person affidavit. My opinion.

I think you should do things properly, so you don't complicate things for yourself. If you want to change your name do so by newspaper and affidavit, the acceptable means and not one and the same affidavit. If you are not ready then pls renew with your maiden name

I am pretty new but I took the time as a guest to review the threads from part 1 to this thread and have found it very insightful. I have just commenced the process. I have gotten my WES reference number and written to my school already; I however have a nagging issue that I need help with attending to.
I am in the process of renewing my international passport which has my maiden name ( I am married). I have not done a change of name; however I used my new name on my baby's birth certificate. All other documents have my maiden name.
All subsequent documents (WES Evaluation, PoF) will have my maiden name.

Is it advisable to have my husband's name on my international passport upon renewal and then do a "one and the same affidavit"?
