Not sure you can apply online using a naira card due to the limit on cards for FX transactions. You can confirm from others too. Cheers Judgepelumi: Sorry i meant the naira value |

Your room and board should be up to 10k cad though to be cautious. |

Thank you so much @nelly28. If that's the case, the school fees for the year has been paid. How do I indicate that on the form? nelly28: the school fees and other expenses incur for one year...example like ur school fees 20k, room&board 4k, other expenses 4k.
your sis is d rite person to stand as sponsor not you, unless u ve personal funds too and a gud source of income to prove were ur bar is coming from, if ( u can b a sponsor and ur sis co sponsor) in her sponsorship letter, she should indicate dat she has transferred ur study funds to you |

Sorry, I meant Form A. Form M is for importation. Thanks bro/ sis Eraytee: yes to the bold, and pls wch one is FORM-M? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Newman1010: 11:35am On Feb 21, 2017 |
Thanks Eratee. I just confirmed from flywire that payment can be made using Form M. So he will be making school fees payment for first year after which he will still have close to 6million in his account. Do I still need to provide sponsors account statement? Eraytee: From my own point of view use ur sister as sponsor since the money is coming from her account. All u need is to provide sponsorship letter, affidavit of sponsor, property docs if she has one, SOA and any other documents that can support her sponsorship in terms of finances. If dere is CAC doc include all. Her birth certificate too showing her name b4 she got married would proof ur relationship with her.
As per ur payment, that fly wire I don't really know much about it, am conversant with Form-A. The gurus should profer any suggestions they have as regards that. |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 11 by Newman1010: 11:33am On Feb 21, 2017 |
Is2bEe: This is a very good point. However, if the account of the sister is not strong enough in terms of balance or in-flow/out-flow, I believe the brother-in-law could still act as sponsor. All he has to do is provide evidence that he actually transferred the money to his wife's account first for her to later transfer it to the applicant. The sponsor's account and the applicant's account should show these transactions, I believe Thanks all. I just confirmed from flywire that payment can be made using Form M. So he will be making school fees payment for first year after which he will still have close to 6million in his account. Do I still need to provide sponsors account statement? |

Please House, i need help with the following questions:
Is it safe to use "Blood Sister" as sponsor? She has transferred equivalent of tuition + 10k CAD to my brothers account. Her husband is the actual sponsor but the credit came from her account.
Will it be best to use her as Sponsor or should he state that the sponsor is his in-law?
If its okay to state her, do we need any back up document?
After the transfer to his account, how long before he applies?
Must he pay part of the fees? I would have preferred to pay but the school is suggesting that we use FLYWIRE. This process means getting funds from aboki. The rate is mad. We would have preferred Form A.
Thanks Fam @justwise, thesoj, MichV, Eraytee etc i need help |

Austinpee4: Just a piece of advise for guys previously refused for insufficient fund to paid tuition and support yourself.
If you intend to pay your tuition(part or full), great idea. If you intend to transfer the cash (naira) into your account, endeavour to use a CURRENT account in your name. Saw a GCMS note sometime ago and the VO major concern was that huge funds were transfered to PA's SAVINGS account and he/he was worried PA can remove the money at once to pay for tuition because of the limit of transactions placed on NAIRA savings account.
They obviously know all the banking regulations, be smart too. They know FORM A or any convertible currency transactions will be in a current account.
Anywhere, his visa was approved today. What did he do differently? Transferred equivalent of his tuition + $CAD 10,000 to his current account ONLY!
#If you really need to know the main reason for a visa refusal, get your GCMS file. It's an eye opener! @ Austinpee4, Please how long did it take to reapply after the transfer of funds to his current account? |

@ Maxicon, michV is right I think you should drop the diploma course and go for a masters degree. Finance or MBA will be fine. You can check out Saint Mary's University's Master of Finance program. Although its quiet expensive, the curriculum is great. check it out ( www.smu.ca) michV: you will be wasting your time in giving yourself hope for approval coupled with emotional stress and money too to the embassy for this intending course |

Hello everyone, I need info from people in Nova Scotia. I've got admission to study at st Mary's uni, Halifax (Masters program). How is life in Halifax generally and how good is St Mary's university? I need this information as soon as possible.
For those bankers looking for Masters program , kindly check saint Mary's uni MFIN program. A very good result and SOP can get you the admission. The tuition is quiet on the high side though but the curriculum looks great.
Secondly, can I find another company like prodigy that offer international students loans in form of student loans? |
Travel › Re: Travelling To Canada Part 10 by Newman1010: 12:34pm On Aug 13, 2016 |
@emma4eva, from what we've learnt here, its easier to get TRV with a master's admission than PGD/PGC. The only reason the agent said that is funds related. The amount you'll need to apply with MSC is much higher than that of PGC/PGD. Considering the current exchange rate, your account/sponsors account needs to be well funded before you apply for TRV using MSC. 5million can get you TRV using PGC/PGC. emma4eva: After my refusal early dis month, my father contacted an agent to facilitate my next application.. I was denied due to insufficient funds. I spoke with the agent that I needed only assistance with the visa application, the agent told me it's easier for them to get me visa using a pdg than with my masters admission.. |

My take on this PGD/PGC issue is this: I think they have a qouta for PGD/PDG students. So the take their time to review and place the best applications in a pool. Now towards the end of August/ early September, they select from the pool having the quota in mind. You will notice that there will be mass approval and mass delay during that period. Same thing happened last year fall. The delays are majorly PURPOSE OF VISIT AND LENGTH OF STAY related. These delays are as a result of quota and not because the applications were not good enough. I urge you all to just relax so that you don't fail medicals due to high BP. Stay calm and let the king take the wheels. It will surely end in Praise. Carter001: still don't know why they are delaying PGC/PGD applicants this year, bro part 9 was full of TRV testimonies , many of which were PGC oo.. + i don't think its because the volume of applications received is too much for them too handle cos.....there's this other forum for international students applying to Canadian skls , the threads are full of Indians and they keep posting TRV success stories erryday...wish ours could be like that.... |

@bamz I go with @yemdogg on this. I think the major question to be answered is, why will the company spend such an amount of money on you @Bamz? Just get an individual sponsor and your TRV is sure. Sorry for the delay, Wish you the very best bro/ sis. yemdogg: Boss, sorry about the delay.
If i am to make a calculated guess, the VO doesnt believe the Company/Organisation will sponsor you.
You are going for a Masters program for 2 years.....not a seminar or a workshop that would benefit your employer.
Did your employer state in the letter of sponsorship how your program would benefit the company? The company is a profit making organization and as such all money spent on your further studies would be recouped how ? how long have you been working for the company ? What does the company do? is it an engineering company in which your Meng degree would be said to be useful to the company?
I smell distrust....The VO is not confident the company will sponsor you.
My advice, get an individual to sponsor you especially one of the directors and then get a very convincing letter of sponsorship from him/her.
I rest my case. |

Chics007: Hello Everyone,
This is going to be a long post so please pardon me. I only stumbled upon this thread after I had submitted my Canada Study Visa Application; after being a silent follower, I resolved to share my testimony when it came, hence, my joining at this time.
From the top; I was pressed for time so I applied for my TRV soon as my Letter of Acceptance came in, so I crash-coursed my online application, medicals and biometrics in a span of 2 days, so my application and biometrics was done on the 20th of May, 2016. Following this, I came across this forum online, I read through all the threads and I must say this is a commendable arena as the feeling of community is laudable. However, I will say I was very worried and anxious as I discovered that 1/15th of the documents most people submitted, I did not submit. Literally, I submitted only the documents that was asked on my online checklist. I contacted VFS severally to ask if I was in the wrong and should add additional documents and they just kept referring me back to the website. I went ahead to contact the International Students Office in my school and the response was that as a 1st time study applicant, it was advisable that I include all and any relevant documents though I should bear in mind that each application is case-specific and the VO will treat each case individually. I was of double mind whether or not to submit additional documents as some people on this forum did. I, however, trusted God and realised that I would be acting from a place of fear to do so. Please, don't get me wrong-I am not saying this was a wrong option, I simply did not feel that was the thing to do,judging from my spirit. I even discussed it with some close friends to know if I was insane (I am fortunate that they believed with me). So I left my application as is and kept praying to God and praising Him in belief. I will not lie, it was not easy; I kept doubting but would remain resolute despite how I felt or the thought of fear. I then read someone's testimony recently on the fact that he saw mistakes on his application and also submitted a minimal amount of documents and God came through for Him (did I mention I also later saw a typo on my LOE?!! Lol!). I tapped into this testimony and still kept believing.
So today, I got the usual 'no update' message from CIC. I, then, out of worry, I must confess, contacted VFS to ask if it was normal to go for 2 months with no medical call mail from CIC. Not long after the mail I soent, I got the 'You have a message' mail from CIC; opening my CIC account reminded me of a member, on this forum, who said opening her account was the longest 5 minutes of her life. I understood it perfectly. On opening it, I saw the usual 'You have no messages' column but I opened the 'check messages' column and saw medical passed. Much as I was relieved, I became worried again as I felt that would mean another faith-fear battle waiting for a final decision. For some reason (ITK, I suppose or joblessness or looking for hope), I scrolled down my account, only to see a 'Passport Request Letter' message. I scrolled up again just to be sure I saw the 'medical passed' message. I did. Nothing else changed but on scrolling down, I still saw the Passport request message. On opening it, the letter confirmed what I suspected-My passport has been requested. Congratulation!!!!! |
