RomanceRe: Should I Let Her Do It????? by Nextworldnx(op): 9:46am On Sep 26, 2012
Thanks you'll for your points.
From the points raised so far, its 50:50. Some wants me to leave her if i am not comfortable with the idea of her acting while others say i should support her if truly i love her as i claim. The draw back with former is that its not everyday that one comes across a girl who you truly love(she is a wife material) while the latter is that, most actress tends to be promiscuous.

God help me make my decision, i think am gonna give my support and let her do it. But i will be watching from the sidelines, if i notice any nonsense besides front of camera- am out!!

Its not gonna be easy but its possible! All you need to do is activate your highest level of understanding and maturity, and always remember the fact that whatever she is doing with another guy on stage is acting, but with u its real. You own her love, heart and body!
If I were you, I'd be more bothered about the fame and publicity and how its gonna affect our personal lives! Dude, this is what u should be more concerned about! You guys need to have a SERIOUS talk, lay down some ground principles! Cos trust me once she hits it big, your private life could be officially over!
Good luck lover boy! Lol.......

RomanceShould I Let Her Do It????? by Nextworldnx(op): 11:54pm On Sep 25, 2012
Nairaland Romance gurus please bail me out.

We have been enjoying ourselves all these while that we have been dating, infact i can say that it has been blissful. But it looks like all that wanna change now. Last night my creamypie called me to discus something important~i could tell from her tone that something was bothering her~. She me told a film production company noticed her talent during one of her performance on stage while acting for the small drama group she belongs to. According to her, they blived she can do well on the big stage, but they will be trying her out first on their soap opera with scenes shot in far away Enugu and its environs. She loves the whole idea and probably a chance to showcase her talent and possible a breakthrough on acting front(She loves acting!!).
But there is a problem,... The SCRIPT!!! Yes, the script, and thats why she is not too comfortable about it unless she ask for my approval first before she puts pen to paper.

She and a Guy are the main actors according to the script and are lovers. Now she will have to kiss him embarassed, romance him embarassed ~u know na, what lovers do~ bla bla bla. During rehearsals last week, she performed well but couldn't nail it (do the romance stuff). She said "dear, i couldnt bring myself to do it except you give me the permission to". Now, The Director is not happy, but after discussion with him, he gave her till thursday being 27th of this month to make her decision.

Guys, i've been confused ever since and completely gutted at the thought of my precious jewel being fondled cry by another guy all in the of "acting", To think that i want to marry her. Chai, its not easy o! Either way i reason it, the reality still stares me i the face.

I dont want her kissing and romancing other guys, neither do i want to be a stumbling block to her progress. please help me out with honest advice on how to handle this predicament, as I have 2 days to give her my reply.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: Technical & Brain Teaser Questions Asked During Job Interviews by Nextworldnx(m): 1:25am On Sep 22, 2012
hardbody: I have tons of these brain wrackers in a compendium of Logic texts, although it is in soft copy. Any interested NLander can send an email and I will send a copy to them. Although I must confess I never read beyond the first few pages. Fortunately I am gainfully employed and so would not b needing those question and answer sessions. Before I forget, Accenture embarrassed me with one of those questions way back in time, I felt very stupid when I got home and realized I goofed.
pls send to paygnet@gmail.com
thanks

Jobs/VacanciesRe: A Question For NNPC On The 2012 Mass Recruitment- Plz Read! by Nextworldnx(m): 11:05pm On Sep 12, 2012
mba emeka: @ All

dont take my word for bond but you can as well read what I have to say- Dailynews is partly correct if not mostly. I know alot of people here just want to believe in the Authenticity and thoroughness of the recruitment process but the truth is that it doesnt really exist.

yes a minor 10-20 of the 595 may have been credible, competent candidates but I can assure you that it would not have exceeded that number. Government officials, senators, Honourables etc. greatly affect the process. let me give you an example- in 2008 DPR a subsidiary of NNPC recruited massively. After the mandatory shortlisting, Testing and Interview process a handful of successful candidates were muddled with the "IM" candidates. The proportion was say 60 of the Credible-40% of "IM" of a total of 250 persons. The DPR had already planned on publishing the names at a particular date only for a fax to arrive from the "presidency" on the eve of that date with a list of names to be employed by the DPR containing. . .wait for it. . .250names! If you know anybody who works there and is of repute you can inquire.

Which brings me to the NNPC. I know 2 persons that were employed by NNPC and were scheduled to resume this August-september resumption following the 2010 "massive recruitment". Here is the challenge- the 2 of them didnt apply in 2010 as they were still in the university. They finished say septemeber of that yearv (Canada), served from the November batch of that year and finished by october of 2011 hence they couldnt apply(they lacked the neccessary NYSC discharge cert.).Interestingly they didnt even attend the interview. The just got the offer straight-no hassles! Please dont come and tell me that what I am saying isnt true because one of them is my younger brother and the other My cousin! I also know why and how they did it but thats another issue for another day. The fact remains that the the process is usually marred with malfeasance and "mago mago".

If you can apply, please do I believe in God and miracles. If you know "someone" please contact them becasue it is another vital forte. Whether dailynews suggested that NNPC should have simply recruited more people from the last recruitment is still unclear and for reasons of being a good sport I wont take him up on that. It is fine that they have decided to recruit more lads now and taking further years into cognizance is not only right but is commendable. The real question is whether the process is deviod of "ojoro" to a bearest minimum and the answer is a resounding NO!!

The length is not irrelevant, trust me some of us here have gained alot. infact, because of its length, i have learnt things which are missing in my day to day business activities.
@OP, please go at your pace and length, trust me you are saving a life!
