The successful candidate will be responsible for the following duties, reporting to the Head of Procurement at the High Commission:
Invoicing: Responsible for the preparation and distribution of invoices for staff, Other Government Departments and visitors at Post. Prepare and maintain spreadsheets to capture invoicing models used to capture various costs. Act as the main contact person with our telecommunication suppliers. Maintain Invoice database records and any other miscellaneous billing required.
Requisitioning & Receiving: Collect local requisitions, verify approval and charging codes. Raise requisitions on the system and follow up with buyers to ensure purchase orders are raised before goods are purchased or services rendered. Receive goods physically and on the system, making corrections when necessary. Maintain a register of goods/ services received and collect deliveries from the bag room.
Purchasing: Liaise with local suppliers to submit quotations and draft quotation summary for supplies. Ensure deliveries are made in time and check that they meet requisition specification. Ensure all received invoices have current bank details and invoice numbers are not duplicated before passing to accounts for payment.
Bill Tracking: Update Invoice database regularly to reflect invoices that have been cleared. Print out invoice unpaid list for accounts when requested to enable debtors pay bills. Send emails to debtors with outstanding bills. Update spreadsheet to track invoices to all Other Government Departments on a monthly basis.
Store keeping/ General Management Assistant: Maintain a store of mobile phones and SIM cards and a spreadsheet to monitor stock levels ensuring constant availability. Issue phones, Sims and top up credit on request. Provide General assistance with organising Management functions.

QUALIFICATIONS
Candidates must have a BSc/HND in Accounting or Purchasing and Supply,
Previous experience of working in an office environment is important too.
Good keyboard skills, and familiarity with computers and software packages (notably MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) is essential.
Have previous accounting and procurement experience,
Be a self-starter with proven ability to work effectively without the need for constant supervision,

My younger brother just came back from abuja where he went to submit an application to The Nigerian civil defence, immigration, fire and prison service board. He claimed to be told by a friend that they are accepting applications (handwritten) from both HND & BSc holders. He went to verify the information at old Federal Secretariat in Area one, only to meet other applicants there submitting their own copies, he quickly joined them in submitting.

We dont know when is the closing date neither do we know whether their state offices are receiving applications as well.
Whoever has more information should enlighten the house.

The MTN Nigeria Foundation Limited by Guarantee (MTNF) was established by MTN Nigeria Communications Limited, in July 2004 to drive MTN Nigeria's Corporate Social Investment (CSI) initiatives aimed at improving the quality oflife in communities across the country.

Under the MTNF Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme, the Foundation currently provides financial support to 1,015 Science and Technology students in public universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across the six geopolitical zones in Nigeria, and has awarded approximately N500m to date to nearly 2,500 students.
The scholarship award is worth N200,000.00 (Two hundred Thousand Naira only) per student for the duration of one academic year and it covers tuition, book allowance and stipend.

MTN Nigeria Foundation Science and Technology Scholarship Scheme 4th Phase
Applications are hereby invited for the 2012/2013 session. Following the applications, 1500 students will be shortlisted for the assessment test to be held in 3 centres in the North, East and West of the country.
The top scoring 500 candidates from the assessment test will be awarded scholarships and will receive their awards during the 2012/2013 academic year.

Practical Experience in an International Environment
The IAEA accepts a limited number of interns each year.
The internships are awarded to persons studying toward a university degree or who have recently received a degree.
The purpose of the programme is:

To provide interns with the opportunity to gain practical work experiences in line with their studies or interests, and expose them to the work of the Agency and the United Nations as a whole;
To benefit the Agency's programmes through the assistance of qualified students specialized in various professional fields.

The duration of internships is normally not less than three months and not more than one year. However, a minimum of one month is also accepted. Interns are subject to the authority of the Director General and undertake to observe all applicable rules, regulations, instructions and procedures of the Agency.

Eligibility:
In order to be eligible for the internship programme, applicants must be at least 18 years of age and have completed at least two years of full-time studies at a university or equivalent institution towards the completion of their first degree. A working (oral and written) knowledge of English is essential. Knowledge of other official Agency languages is an advantage. Interns should be able to adapt to an international, multicultural, multilingual environment, have good communication skills and be able to work in a team.

Benefits and Entitlements:
The Agency does not consider interns to be staff members under the Staff Regulations and Rules, and they, therefore, do not enjoy the guarantees and entitlements provided by those Regulations and Rules. Interns are also not entitled to the privileges and immunities accorded by Member States to staff members of the Agency. The internship programme is not a means for subsequently obtaining employment at the Agency. However, interns may apply for vacancy notices as external candidates at any time during and following the end of their internship.
For interns who do not receive full financial support from an institution, university or other source, a stipend shall be provided to assist basic subsistence costs during the internship period. Candidates will be asked on the application form whether or not they anticipate receiving financial support, in what amount, and whether or not they will be paying rent to a non-family third party during their internship.
The Agency provides medical insurance for the duration of each internship, unless an intern provides proof that he/she already has appropriate coverage. Interns are responsible for obtaining the necessary passport, visa or other documents that may be required for entering Austria or any other country where the internship will be performed. In Austria, non-Austrian interns who stay for more than three months will be issued a residency permit from the Austrian Foreign Ministry through the Agency.
