I am a Christian and i do not have anything against the "West", but it is worthy to know where our problem lies. Atleast that will be our first attempt at providing the solution.

According to Zeitgeist, check out why all these happened:

Some hotels that i know have a standing protocol of checking out dsame number of clients that booked in. I.e, if u book in as 3 then u must check out as 3, if not, they call d room to check on d remaining.
Those are d kind of hotels i use, and i suggest u‘all do dsame atleast for ur safety.

This is a semantic issue. There's a big difference between a controlling man and a man in control.

A CONTROLLING MAN:
A controlling man is a NO-NO for a woman who's got a good set on her shoulders.
He's the type who treats a woman bad just so she could 'love' him (that is, if you can call it love, because it sure is a sick and twisted way of tying someone's emotions to yours)!

A woman is in fear when her BF is controlling. She is not confident of herself and her abilities.

He clips her wings. He presses her down so she stays at a lesser level than her true potential (truth is, he can't handle a successful woman).

He calls her names. He is incapable of trust. He might be good in the sack, but only as a way of wielding koboko power over her.
He buys her gifts, to say sorry because he has effed up again.
He calls her over and over during the day to put tabs on her, to monitor her.

When they have issues, he whines to his friends, insulting and disrespecting her before them. He doesn't respect women, 'every successful woman must have slept her way up', is his way of reasoning.

He goes through her phone, all other guys must be deleted.

Many guys do that nowadays. Needy, manipulative boys in diapers, is what I call them.



A MAN IN CONTROL:
When I'm talking about a man in control, I mean a man of honour and integrity. He says something and you know he's backing it up. Yes, he's strong. But this strength is not expended on shouting on his woman, or putting her down physically. Rather he uses this strength to protect her and the other ones he loves. He is loyal, he treats others with kind consideration. This will naturally inspire her respect for him.

He is a man's man - he rolls with his guys and can share most issues with them but his personal dealings with his chick is out of their jurisdiction. It is his private domain and no trespassing is allowed. No talking of how she looks without her cloths on, nothing!

He is not intimidated of his woman rising to the skies. He even inspires her to be better and challenges her for the better. He might be rigid to outsiders but she sees his vulnerable side (now that's sexy! ).

A man in control is the type of man who, when his woman needs answers to some issues will tell herself: "Relax, my man's got this". That is, you can call him up and he's got some words of wisdom and encouragement. You know he's got your back.

He does little romantic things for her, not because he has effed up but because he genuinely enjoys seeing her happy and excited. He's not too macho to give her a massage, he's not too macho to cuddle and see a chick flick with her....
He is busy throughout the day. But when he calls her its because he misses her.

He sees her toaster. "Did he really think he could compete against me, dude is ugly", He comments to you playfully. Tell him I don't want him sniffing round my woman! (The case is closed, I tell ya).

Guy, u wont understand, i ran to a hideout and took a good look at myself...can not believe i just received a beating from these men, and am still standing(though fretting and shaking vigorously).
The only sign on me is the sweet curves and rough patches their hands deposited on my cheeks. I cant be joking about this! its even more painful that my video is lost because you will actually here the "hey you, what are doing!??" part before i quickly pressed the stop button.

Besides, right now, i've called my chick over to massage my body.

I was at the Chari Maigeri Barracks lokoja (Kogi State) as at 11:00 am this morning, when almost a battalion of soldiers from kaduna, makurdi, ibadan etc who have been camping here all the while, started filing out in about Eight truck loads. They were cocking their guns, singing war songs, preventing motorist from moving, as well as chasing away onlookers, as they move en route okene.

They scene looked more as from a war movie scene (Band of brothers), so i felt i should capture this electric moment on phone and share with my nairaland community. I located a spot in the crowd, brought out my phone and positioned it at an angle am sure no one would see it, not knowing that some soldiers were on mufti with us in the crowd. Before i knew it, one of them spotted me and this happened next:-......

soldier 1:Hey u, what are you doing?
Me: who me?.... gbosa! gbosa!! *receives slaps*
soldier 2: who is that?
soldier 1: he is holding a camera!
Me: its a phone, am listening to music gbam! liar! *receives another slap* kicks *more slaps*
-continued beating and phone seized-
soldier 1: u be boko haram abi? u wan tell ur people for okene say we the come hen?
soldier 2: drag am out, danboroba shege(hausa)
A soldier friend identifies me from afar, crosses the road, and immediately prevented me from being dragged out!(Thank God for that, i guess i would have been shot). Asked me to mix with the crowd and dissapear before others notice.
i ran and did not look back. Went back after an hour to collect my phone from my soldier friend who asked me to better go for thanksgiving on sunday, if he had not spotted on time i would have been history.

i wonder what came over me, taking a filmed shot of soldiers going on a shoot-out with those okene boys for killing two soldiers last week. So far, they have wasted over 57 people in okene since their raid started, no wonder okene is like a ghost town.

Thank God Am Alive, with my phone in good condition, but was unable to retrieve the videos because it was deleted before the phone was handed over. If not for my friend, the soldiers wanted me in guard room for 3 days with enough frog jumps.

Its a pity i lost the video, it would have been wonderful to have their parade clip here.
