Culture / Re: The Most Ridiculous Bride Price You Have Ever Heard? by ng4am(f): 5:00am On May 17, 2013
igbsam: And you call that ridiculous ? My friend got married to an owerri girl last year. He paid a bride price of N2.5million, after which, he bought the wedding materials for all the relatives, from the mother, to the father down to the uncles and aunties, the sisters and cousins including nephews. He was also give 2 family members to train in school and business. After 8months of the wedding.....the bride's father demanded for a car and the father specifically asked for a 2005 c-class Mercedes Benz Car which he borrow money to buy for him. The mother asked for some money to fill her shop with stocks which my friend is still finding it difficult to give her. Isn't this ridiculous ?
Ur frnd na correct maga, did the force him abi the dig hand for ehm pocket collect the money. His not a real man, hw will he allow some grp of hungry people turn him into a mugu?

alnaijiri: The real tragedy here is that a man, a Northern man presumably from a Muslim family would not only abandon the faith of his fathers, but to promote and propogate idolatry in his homeland! Converting Muslims to Xtianity will, God forbid, destroy the moral bedrock of the North.

I take no pleasure in seeing a man killed, especially one who could have been a learned Muslim and a devoted husband and father, and a good citizen of his community. May God watch over all the children of the North, even the non-Muslim ones, so that they would return to the faith of their fathers and bring true peace and prosperity to the North, so that we will no longer lag behind and be humiliated and exploited by the infidel South.
There should be a slap icon for someone like u, so cos his a northern he has no right of religion of his choice? I dnt like insults if not I could ve called u a big fool.

Tolexander: A family friend of mine just came to our house last week to show us what the bride price requested by the family of their wife to be:
120 tubers of yam, 50 fishes(catfishes), a mature goat and a 25litre keg of palm oil.
As if these aren't enough, they now included a mini laptop(netbook) but no dowry was included.

When i saw this bride price, i was just amazed and thinking in my mind what this world is turning to.
A fat lie
Politics / Re: Is Amnesty The Solution To Insecurity, Terrorism & Boko-Haram Crises? by ng4am(f): 9:57am On Apr 09, 2013
[quote author=jentlsoul]SE and SS are the problem of Nigeria. When oga jona grant pardon for alam and we all know that is wrong but the ss and se see nothing wrong with that, it is only N and SW that condemn the barbaric act. Now it is your turn to be hurt by oga jona to grant amnesty to boko haram. Me I think it is only us in the north that oga jona is hurting not knowing that he will also hurt his brethren.[/quote
When u dnt ve anything meaningful to contribute, just shut up. Thank u.

Jokes Etc / Hurricane Akpors by ng4am(f): 4:22pm On Oct 31, 2012
I just read dis on a facebook page and decided to share with u guys.

NAIJA IS SO BLESSED

What would happen in Nigeria if we are to experience hurricane (GOD FORBID)

Imagine say a 'Hurricane Akpors' is heading for Naija in 3 weeks.. First and foremost;

1. Prophet T.B Joshua will prophesy the hurricane.
2. The State Governors will hold a press conference advising the people of the states to remain calm as government is working hard to see how they can tackle the situation.
3. National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) will grant an interview on Channels TV and AIT saying that they are well trained and prepared to handle the crisis. That they are untop of the Situation.
4. The Federal Government will wait for the Hurricane to first land and wipe out States then;
- Hold a day of National Mourning and Prayers and order the flag be flown at half mast.
- Visit the disaster location for a first hand assessment of the damage.
- Visit the survivors camp and share relief material (Mosquito nets, rice and Indomie)
- Set up a committee to investigate the Hurricane and see how we can prevent future hurricanes from visiting Nigeria.
- Release billions of Naira (on Paper) for disaster management.
- Sack the Minister of Water Resources for failing to contain the water.
- Commend the State Governors, NEMA, Red Cross and other emergency services unit for their quick response.
5. The Senate will hold an emergency session and condemn the 'Hurricane'.
6. Churches around Nigeria will hold crusades and Programmes with Titles like 'May Hurricane wipe out your enemies'.. 'Calming the Hurricanes in your life'.. 'Finding the Rainbow in your Hurricane'.. e.t.c..
7. M.I Abaga will release a single about hurricanes.
8. Femi Falana (SAN) will sue the Hurricane, F.G and State government for their poor handling of their handling of d Hurricane. 9. CPC, ACN, APGA and others will blame d PDP and Jona 4 d Hurricane.
