1 shortblackboy: no whamm. no mind dem. dem no dey tire o 2morrow dem go open another thread claiming a whole people and their territory as if the people no know who dem be
This your silly post is not neccessary as Igbo people have never at any time claimed people who are not Igbo.
Rather Igbo people do not deny what is theirs.

Ehen, your friend aunty desola must roam free, barking all over the forum maybe because seun mukina gave orders she is not to be touched or something? Since she's been here since 2005 helping nl achieve senseless spamming and trolling milestones?

But others get banned for lesser offences?
Desola is the worst thing to happen to nairaland. She should be banned to eternity.

I like the Yorubas because even their elderly can still read e.g this Yoruba man here.

Sloan: Stop with the nonsense statistics! ibos are not up to 20 M! Your lies does not create additional ibo humans in case you are misguided or think everyone buys your propaganda! Of course you are the monkey and I wonder what your type are doing on this thread since this has nothing to do with ibos! Worry about how the Ijaws now call the shots in your country and not whether the Yorubas in Kwara would want to join their brothers in a Greater Yoruba county or Region!
DON'T DERAIL THIS BEAUTIFUL THREAD.
Only the Igbo in the south east is about 25 million. Ten million in Nigeria outside the south east and another 5 million outside Nigeria. That makes the Igbo population 40 million worldwide.
Once again just read through what Omonakoda etc are writing as you anot intelligent enough for this sort of thread.
PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Ngodigha1(m): 12:55am On Oct 20, 2013
0monnakoda: The problem with the Oyo empire is that it was an empire which means that all those groups that it subdued are likely to strive for their independence when circumstances are favourable and that is exactly what happened to Oyo in the early 19th century. Ilorin that a lot of people talk about is populated to a significant extent by descendants of slaves from sevral places. Ilorin was a place where slaves could claim their freedom especially if they could fight. It was a garrison town and that is the context in which it broke away from Oyo many of the so called Fulani were mercenary soldiers who were often freed slaves. We must remember that The Nupe and Borgu bore the brunt of slave raiding by the Oyos.

Tracing history to Ife was common just like Arabs and Jews trace their history to Adam but theywere always fighting as the Old testament tells us .There were several nations in Western Nigeria who spoke a "Lingua franca of Oyo language"" but tracing History to Ife Oduduwa etc did not have the same meaning that it appears to have today i.e we were ONE NATION or we are ONE PEOPLE. That would be a strange idea o a 19th century Ekiti or Egba man. That was never the case. The only people that attempted that were the OYO and that is most likely after their kings had been killed and replaced by Borgus or Nupes long before the Fulani Saga. You will observe that the other groups Ekiti,Ijebu<Ondo etc never tried to rule others through empire building.

There is another factor to consider; Geography there has been dessert encroachment over the centuries and the Savanna Belt has shifted southward meaning that Savanna peoples came into interaction with Forest peoples. Oyos used horses in their empire building which suggests they were most likely living in the Ilorin/Borgu territory before being force southwards by conflict
Word.

Deal with the thread directly and stop making attempts to involve Igbo to it.
Its high time we see topics here without the Igbo involved.
PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Ngodigha1(m): 12:31am On Oct 20, 2013
0monnakoda: Who are these Yorubas exactly. The issue of Yorubacame up because of Nigeria if you go to Benin Republic that will give you a clearer picture of the reality. The Yoruba speakers there do not call themselves "Yoruba" which was also the case before the British came to Nigeria
I usually don't read your posts. But from today, I will be reading what you type. Dude, you are not really what I thought you were.
You an an intelligent poster.
PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Ngodigha1(m): 12:28am On Oct 20, 2013
Sloan: Referendum will ultimately settle this issue so no problem. The natives and inhabitants of Ilorin will choose to either go with the West or North, why does the eastern ibos care so much about this issue? The question you should be concerned about is what people will even want to go with the East? Even some "former" ibos have now said they were NEVER ibos, why not worry about that?
Monkey, this is not an Igbo thread and do not bring Igbo to it. If an Igbo individual types what you don't like, deal with that individual directly rather than bring Igbos to it. An opinion of one Igbo here doesn't represent the opinion of over 40 million Igbo people worldwide.
Count Igbo out of this thread.
CultureRe: Igbodo Crisis: Obi Osadume Finally Bows To Tradition • Sacks Ibo Wife by Ngodigha1(m): 12:24am On Oct 20, 2013
^^^The lesson of your thread is that The Obis do not marry outside Igbodo. If a in future an Obi marries a lady from Akure, Auchi, Afuze, Afikpo etc, the marriage will be resisted by the community. This back ward attitude is their tradition but we have to respect it.
This has nothing against Igbo people as Igbodo people are very proud of their Igbo identity.

PoliticsRe: Proposed National Conference: A Case For Kwara State by Ngodigha1(m): 11:50pm On Oct 19, 2013
0monnakoda: There was never a Yoruba land before Nigeria so clearly this piece is not well informed. It is not an automatic thing that if Nigeria were to break up there would be a Yoruba Nation. When the British started conducting census in "Yorubaland" No one identified themselves as Yoruba. People were Oyo,Ekiti,Ijebu etc and so if Nigeria were to break up everyone will determine what they want to do. Even in the so called Caliphate it is an error to believe that the Sultan of Sokoto ruled over Hausa land .This is wrong .'
The Fulani situation is not different from Monarchies in Europe. The English Monarchy are not English but have French,German and other origins.

A lot of Yoruba may not believe this but I genuinely believe that the Oyo or at least their kings are more likely of Nupe/borgu Origin than Odua especially when you consider the original location of Oyo Ile which probably was in Kwara/Niger State territory
Thanks a lot. The above post is the best so far.

Why not go and tell your brother from same Umunede as you (Wizboy) to stop claiming Igbo?.

He has always maintained that he is Ika in this forum. He goes about insulting Igbo people everytime he comes around here in culture section. Check his post. He might not have said it here but soon as always he will say it and you will believe him.

solomon111: For the sake of clarification;
Most ika people accept and embrace their igbo ethnity under the anioma assemblage.
Though a few communities here and there still object to being igbo due to long-term ignorance and/or the benin influence.
Thats it. Berem read this post from a son of the soil.

Are you 12 years old?
Omonuan and Ogbuefi are my friends and are still till now. I know them very well and they do know me. I know their roots and they know my roots. Am not Ika but through them, I have known Ika very well.
