The only person that lacks understanding is you. Read the article clearly this was from a previous meeting that happened 2 weeks ago. Check Reuters the Russian that said that got fired 6 days ago. Plus turkey that's part of NATO is going to supply the plane parts. So you see u need to do proper research. You need to try and use the little common sense that you have left to do research. I shouldn't be the one doing it for you.

Check the date and read facts. Event happened over a week ago. https://www.reuters.com/world/russia-fires-official-who-said-china-refused-supply-aircraft-parts-2022-03-15/

After that china still came out to say they will continue to support russia. Why do u think bidem is meeting president Xi today? White house said its so that biden can let china know the consequences for helping russia. After blinken had a meeting with china and threthened them china still helped russia. So biden is now trying to talk to xi. According to you, u think u know more about china than the white house. White house is saying china is still helping russia but some little man on nairaland is saying white house is wrong and that china are sanctioning russia.‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️‍♂️ some nigerian ppl and their unnecessary wahala

The same pointless and redundant rubbish.

If you are going to bore us with pointless rubbish, show us where China evaded the sanctions by supplying Russia with parts or any help..

Posting endless irrelevant nonsense means you are confused and you have poor knowledge.

Sadly for you, you still can not support your views with any sane and rational fact, you are just talking and meandering left and right with nothing credible.

If China is refusing to help Russia in any way to evade the sanctions, a day-old baby should automatically know and conclude that China is enforcing the sanctions against Russia, this is common sense if you really have the capacity to read and properly comprehend.

4 ways China is quietly making life harder for Russia

China is quietly distancing itself from Russia's sanction-hit economy.

The two states proclaimed last month that their friendship had "no limits." That was before Russia launched its war in Ukraine.
Now, with Russia's economy being slammed with sanctions from all over the world, there is growing evidence that China's willingness and ability to aid its northern neighbor may be limited. Beijing has refused to condemn Russia's attack on Ukraine but wants to avoid being impacted by the sanctions it has repeatedly denounced as an ineffective way of resolving the crisis.

"China is not a party to the [Ukraine] crisis, and doesn't want the sanctions to affect China," Foreign Minister Wang Yi said Tuesday during a phone call with his Spanish counterpart.

Beijing also gave its full backing Wednesday to comments made earlier this week by China's ambassador to Ukraine. "China will never attack Ukraine. We will help, especially economically," Fan Xianrong was quoted as saying in a press release from the Lviv regional government.
Fears that Chinese companies could face US sanctions over ties with Russia had contributed to an epic sell-off in Chinese stocks recent days. That slump was reversed Wednesday when Beijing promised it would pursue policies to boost its sputtering economy and keep financial markets stable.

US officials told CNN on Monday that they have information suggesting China has expressed some openness to providing Russia with requested military and financial assistance. China dismissed that as "disinformation."
Analysts say that China is attempting to strike "a delicate balance" between supporting Russia rhetorically but without further antagonizing the United States.

Beijing and Moscow share a strategic interest in challenging the West. However, Chinese banks cannot afford to lose access to US dollars, and many Chinese industries cannot afford to be deprived of US technology.

While China is Russia's No. 1 trading partner, Beijing has other priorities. Trade between the two countries made up just 2% of China's total trade volume.

The European Union and the United States have much larger shares, according to Chinese customs statistics from last year.

Here are some measures Beijing has taken in the last few weeks to distance itself from the isolated and crumbling Russian economy.
Letting the ruble drop

China's currency, the yuan, doesn't trade completely freely, moving instead within bands set by officials at the People's Bank of China (PBOC). Last week, they doubled the size of the ruble trading range, allowing the Russian currency to fall faster.

The ruble has already lost more than 20% of its value against both the dollar and euro since the start of the war in Ukraine. By allowing the Russian currency to fall against the yuan, Beijing isn't doing Moscow any favors.

Withholding aircraft parts

Sanctions imposed by the United States and the European Union mean that the world's two major aircraft makers, Boeing (BA) and Airbus (EADSF), are no longer able to supply spare parts or provide maintenance support for Russian airlines. The same is true of jet engine makers.
That means Russian airlines could run out of parts within a matter of weeks, or fly planes without having equipment replaced as frequently as recommended to operate safely.

Why China won't put its economy on the line to rescue Putin

Earlier this month, a top Russian official said that China has refused to send aircraft parts to Russia as Moscow looks for alternative supplies.
Valery Kudinov, head of aircraft airworthiness at Russia's air transport agency, was quoted by Russian state news agency Tass as saying that Russia would look for opportunities to source parts from countries including Turkey and India after a failed attempt to obtain them from China.

"As far as I know ... China refused," Kudinov was quoted as saying.

The World Bank has halted all its programs in Russia and Belarus following the invasion of Ukraine. It hadn't approved any new loans or investments to Russia since 2014, and none to Belarus since 2020.
More surprisingly, perhaps, is the decision by the Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank to do the same. In a statement earlier this month, it said it was suspending all its activities related to Russia and Belarus "as the war in Ukraine unfolds." The move was "in the best interests" of the bank, it added.

Frustrated by a relative lack of influence at the World Bank (based in Washington, D.C.) and the Asian Development Bank (where Japan is a major force), China launched the AIIB in 2016. In addition to hosting the headquarters, China provides the president of the bank and has 26.5% of the votes. India and Russia have 7.6% and 6% respectively.
The AIIB's decision to suspend activities in Russia means $1.1 billion of approved or proposed lending aimed at improving the country's road and rail networks is now on hold.

What Ndi Igbo are saying is that Yorubas should stop being greedy and allow political. equity to take is place.

In what way is a Yoruba man contesting greedy?

Going by this logic, is Atiku that ibo people voted for and still going to vote for not greedy considering the fact that power spent more time in the North than in the south? Is the current president not from the North?

Shouldn't ohaneze and ibo people be doing everything in their power to block Atiku, a Northerner?

Amid US warning, China refuses to supply aircraft parts to Russia as war enters day 21

Published on Mar 16, 2022

China has refused to supply Moscow with aircraft parts after the latter's aviation sector was hit by crippling sanctions from the West amid the escalating war between Russia and Ukraine. Moscow is now expected to consider various alternatives for aircraft parts supply and may seek assistance from India, Turkey, and other countries, reported news agency ANI, citing Global Defense Corp.

This came after America– in a seven-hour long meeting with top Chinese official Yang Jiechi held on Monday – conveyed Washington’s “deep concerns about China’s alignment with Russia” and warned that should Beijing offer support to Moscow, there would be “significant consequences” for China.

Russia's air transport agency Rosaviatsiya official Valery Kudinov was quoted by state-run Interfax: "We have tasked airlines with looking for a possible supplier of parts on their own. As far as I know, there is information that a request has been made to China, but China has refused to do it.

https://www.hindustantimes.com/world-news/amid-us-warning-china-refuses-to-supply-aircraft-to-russia-as-war-enters-day-21-101647396425406.html

The date in this article says yesterday. 16th of March.

China refused to sell parts to Russia after a 7-hour meeting between China and US and US warning China not to sell to Russia.

Is this not China enforcing American sanctions against Russia?

Russia itself admitted that China refused to sell parts to Russia?

I just disproved all your theories. Also Russia is not isolated lol. Anyone that thinks Russia is isolated is dumb. Russia still trading comfortably with all BRICS countries. None of them has implemented sanctions against Russia. That's 3 billion people that they still trading with. I never knew 3 billion people is equal to isolated.

So, are you saying March 2 is more recent than March 16 or you just don't know how to to read and comprehend dates?

Also check the date of that article. It is from February 25th before there was any sanctions on Russia. Next time do research properly. Since that article came out 3 weeks ago. The Chinese finance minister has said countless of times china will support Russia fully economically. That's why Biden is having a meeting with xi tomorrow to try and convince him not to support russia..One thing you forget is that China fully supports Russia that's why Russia told China in advance they would invade Ukraine and China told Russia to invade after the Olympics. Plus China wants Russia help in taking control of Taiwan. Once Russia is done with Ukraine, they will help China with Taiwan. That's why Russia and China have been doing joint military drills.
Many American strategiests have said the worse thing to happen to America is if Russia and China join forces. Americans never thought it would happen but it has finally happened.

Shouldn't you be explaining to us how Russia is economically relevant to China or how their trade volume with China is larger than the West?

When you are done, let us know why China is enforcing Western sanctions against Russia if Russia or the Russian economy is so relevant.

Your Russian cheerleading is void of realities on the ground..

Russia is a pariah state, its totally globally isolated, not just economically, but also socially, culturally and even sports, they can not play international soccer or participate in FIFA or Olympics-related activities.

Putin just sent Russia back to the stone age.

When you are an imaginary superpower, a poor country with a not diversified economy, when you call yourself anti-west and a superpower, but still depend on the West for survival parts for airplanes that you don't and can not manufacture, you depend on the West to supply jetliners and parts.

Now your so-called friend in China is not ready to mess up their own economy by going against Western sanctions against you.

Russian planes can not fly because no parts mean loss of airworthiness and ratings so they must park them.

China won't suffer collateral damage because of Putin.

Putin set his own trap and dug his own grave, they've been trying to burn the clown alive, but he helped them by pouring petrol on himself.

Fact still remains Russia wont be defaulting on their debts anytime soon. America reason is bogus. Werent you the same person saying no one can use the funds in an account thats frozen. Now you saying the reason was becuz its for foreign debts. Why didnt america say that before they froze the accounts or before Russia stated America would pay the creditors no matter what?

2nd yes dollar still accounts for 38% but chinese yuan is the only currency growing and is purpoted to take 2nd place by the year 2030. Go argue with the experts on how they found that number.

Lol you know nothing about China if you think the American companies own half of chinese companies. I see you haven't heard of Tencent or Alibaba or Baidu. Most American companies have branches in China yes but own very little companies in China. Have you read about the CCP? They don't want American companies owning companies in their country. They try to minimize. As I have been learning Chinese for years and immersing myself in their culture. Very few american companies are here.

For example ameican company. walmart almost lost 20% of their value when China threatened to ban them eventhough 90% of Walmart products are made in China. Walmart had to apoease the CCP so that they wouldnt get banned. If china really depended on one of americas biggest companies then why were they so willing to ban them? China doesn't care. Also China's biggest trading partner is now Asean. While America's biggest trading partner is still China. China no longer depends on America for trade, they have found other partners but American still depends on Chinese trade.

Slow down and stop blowing your exhaust pipe over nothing.

China is not stupid and they are not ready to jeopardize, their economic future or suffer collateral damage because of Russia.

The trade volume between China and Russia is measly $140 Billion while it's over $1 Trillion with the West.

Western Europe is China's largest trading partner in the world, not poor Russia that doesn't manufacture anything, it's a poor country with 1 single and undiversified economy, Russia is nothing without oil and gas.

China can do without Russia, but can not survive without the West because its economy and economic survival is closely tied to the West

Look around you, everything is made in the West or Asia, you won't see 1 thing made in Russia..

Btw, the last time I checked, China is enforcing US sanctions against Russia, I mean Chinese state banks under the control of the Chinese president so its actually Putin's friend in China enforcing the ban against Putin.

Your glowing tribute to Putin is not jiving with realities on the ground

A Europe-based holder of Russia’s dollar bonds told Reuters that some holders of the bonds still hadn’t received the payment.

Read what I posted, some bondholders in Europe are yet to receive anything from Russia, the fact that Chase in the US received theirs doesn't mean the bondholders in Europe received theirs.

The topic and title of this thread are just rubbish and Russian propaganda, it is your job to pay your debt and if you can not, accept the default.

The US did dumb Putin a favor by allowing him to access their sanctioned reserves and avoid default and total collapse of the Russian economy so the side story and tales by the moonlight about the ball being in US court is nothing but rubbish and RT Russian propaganda.

Ode Putin should be thanking the US for the soft landing.

Russia is a poor and imaginary superpower, imagine, a superpower without its own payment system, its own internet system, its own global manufacturing brands, its own TECH, its own jetliner.

Russia is a poor country functioning at the mercy of the West.

Ordinary Visa and Mastercard ban, Putin rant to China to beg for their payment system.

After 3 weeks of war with small Ukrain that it can not even defeat, Putin ran to China to beg for weapons and money, Ukrain did not even have any serious military capacity 3 weeks ago, now small Ukraine already slaughtered 4 Russians Generals.

Russia is grossly overrated, it's just another poor country functioning at the mercy of the West.

Foreign Affairs / Re: Anton Siluanov: Russia Made Bond Payment, Now Up To US To Pay Bondholders by NGpatriot: 11:28pm On Mar 17, 2022

Russia's Finance Ministry said that it had made good on the required interest payments due Wednesday on its dollar-denominated bonds, Reuters reports.

That’s after Russia’s finance minister, Anton Siluanov, told state media on Wednesday that the payments might not go through because of U.S. sanctions, the WSJ reported. “We have the money, we paid the payment, now the ball is on the side, first of all, of the American authorities,” Siluanov said, according to the report.

A Europe-based holder of Russia’s dollar bonds told Reuters that some holders of the bonds still hadn’t received the payment.

And the Treasury Department insists that sanctions won’t prevent the funds from being transferred. “U.S. sanctions on Russia do not prohibit Russia from making these debt payments,” a Treasury spokesperson told Axios.

The sanctions targeted Russian banks, and froze a huge chunk of Russia’s foreign currency reserves — so, both its willingness, and ability, to transfer payments to foreign creditors has been in doubt.

What’s next: If the payments aren’t delivered, Russia still has a 30-day grace period before it’s officially considered in default.

https://www.axios.com/russia-bond-payments-sanctions-860cc717-9f56-4963-9517-1d2f53ef34de.html

The article from RT, a Russian propaganda outlet is tales and half-truth, the sanctions have nothing to do with Russia making debt payments and the lenders receiving their money.

Either they did not pay or they made partial payments, but they have 30 days before making good on their gbese, so we shall see, but this Russian propaganda is just tales and fallacies, they are heading into default regardless, it's just a matter of weeks and months.

It's a two way street. Both will lose.
The western companies will lose a lot since they have invested much.

The Russian market is not a big market and the Russian economy was never a strong economy beyond oil and gas so I don't see the western companies losing anything major or groundbreaking. There are billions of customers all over the world, but the Russian population is only 140 million with less than half of that with adult buying power.

Sanctions mean zero im[portation of capital and raw material, it means zero goods and services for a long time to come, it means Russia can not longer service loans and international obligations, it means defaults and junk ratings from now on, it means zero investments and job creation from outside of Russia.

Russians will take over the companies or sell them to China and India ( who by the way have already indicated interest).

You obviously fabricated this on your own.

They'd love to nationalize foreign properties, but they are still in the same precarious twilight zone realities because nationalizing foreign companies means from now on, they won't invest 1 kobo in Russia.

Global investors look for safety and stability before investing their money, but Putin is not a stable human being and Russia is bad market, not worth the effort.

Now, China and India won't buy anything in Russia because and it's even impossible. Do you think China and India are interested in lawsuits by foreign entities targeting both China and India for stealing their properties?

The Chinese economy depends on the goodwill and Marcy of the West, not poor and wretched Russia.

Trade Volume between China and Russia is $140 Billion, but it's over $1 Trillion with the West so do you really think China is ready for any economic collateral damage because of poor Russia?

Even China as we speak is enforcing the western sanctions against Russia.

This is about real life facts and realities, not sentiments, opinions and fabrications.

Ode, with all gra gra and fake superpower shakara, Ukraine is still standing, they've decimated your ground forces and hardware and the only presence you cave is bombardments and slaughtering of defenseless civilians.

In less than 3 weeks, you've lost 4 generals to small Ukraine, but you are still raising shoulder...what a laughable clown..

What objective is the foolish man talking about sef?

Real fighting is yet to start, but you've lost thousands of men in the battlefield, you are begging for renforcements from Russia and other countries, you are begging China for for basic intelligence and weapons because you have no money to replenish and manufacture more weapons, you've lost nearly all your hardware, your economy is totally collapsed, international loans are due this week but you don't have money to pay.

You've United all your enemies against you, NATO gained more members, NATO members like Germany just massively increased their defence spending and you are totally isolated worldwide.

Russians in a few weeks from now are going to start linning up for bread and basics and I even see Russians chasing this man out of power.

So what is exactly this dumb man's objective in Ukraine apart from bombing the place Into pieces? You can not keep Ukraine, you will withdraw.

Poland was bombed into pieces, but they rebuild and polish economy is competing with Germany, it's one of the fastest growing economies in the world.

Foreign Affairs / Re: ICJ Orders Russia To Immediately Suspend Invasion Of Ukraine by NGpatriot: 9:14pm On Mar 16, 2022
Before the war, Russia was a poor and unproductive country and currently is a very economically battered, damaged, and isolated economy.

Russia is socially and culturally banned and isolated on the world stage, Russian sportsmen and women can no longer participate in any global competition including FIFA, Olympics, in fact, any international tournament.

Russia as a country is absolutely irrelevant outside of Russia, their economy is irreparably damaged and unfixable for decades to come, payments on international loans are due this week and Russias can not pay except in worthless Rubles which is a non-starter because the loans are due in US dollars per terms of the loan, next is their sovereign loans which also they can not pay.

Ukraine on the other will rebuild with massive funds from the west, but not Russia's economy, even the hundreds of the global brands that left won't return, at least, not any time soon.

The Russian economy is a one-trick economy, an undiversified oil economy with zero manufacturing base, they don't make anything, they don't produce anything worth buying, that's why when you look around you, you don't see anything made in Russia, nothing, everything is from the west from cars to cell phones, tech gadgets, clothing, consumer goods and so on, they don't even make their own passenger planes, they import from Air Buss and Boeing, but weeks from now, they won't be able to operate their jetliners because of western ban on parts supply and sales, meaning zero airworthiness ratings.

Conget, a US company and their 2nd largest internet backbone provider pulled out last week, imagine, Russia the so-called superpower depends on the West for virtually everything, they even import their weapons TECH from the west which is under sanctions now.

It's laughable that Russia the imaginary superpower ran to China for help because of ordinary VISA and Mastercard sanctions, this little ban means Russians can not perform basic monetary payments and transactions. What kind of superpower is so dependent on other people for nearly everything, now Russians traveling all over the world can no longer pay for anything with their Visa and MasterCard.

Well, he's free to level Ukraine, but Ukraine will rebuild and the Russian economy and way of life go remain inside shalanga for many decades to come.

Putin is really dumb, unstrategic and foolish megalomania with a puerile sense of direction and warped realities.
