Try rice and okro soup. I didn't do it o, I'm just curious as to what it would taste and look like. |
TOYOSI20:How many of them did you take? |
Ebony-Silk:The only CD in my CD player, the only keyboard on my desktop, the only zipper on my pant. ![]() |
I want to wish my butterfly girl, Toyosi, a merry Christmas. Baby, we'll celebrate together for many years to come. Ma gbo ti awon olote, olo mi, aya mi, the only sim card in my phone. and shout out to ebony-silk , sima, topup, yicob, and other usenames I can't remember. |
Islamic family values for you. |
Speaking of non-Nigerian music, I'll start deviating from what I've been doing all along from this post on. But to establish some sort of connection, I'll post what might as well be my last Nigerian song, except I find a song that I really feel like posting. This song is the first track on Fela's 1971 album LIVE!, an album recorded with British drummer Ginger Baker, who (as seen in this clip) went to Nigeria to record the album with Fela and his Africa 70s band. Lola-lu:Oh sure, you can always send me an email since this messageboards don't have a private message feature. Upload whatever songs you have, this thread is not all about old Nigerian music, it's about good music. So if you have any good songs, upload. |
Oya I'm done with this arguement, at least for today. It's three of you and just me, I'm already spelling words wrong. |
^^^ I never said age wasn't a huge factor. I agree it is, but I'm also saying that you can always make a guess of people likely to be succesful and if your boyfriend is likely to be, stick with him. And you all miss the point, I'm not saying girls shod take off their panties whenever Joe Schmoo promises marraige. The part about topup laughing inside while her boyfriend made plans for the future shows she wasn't in love, if you were in love you'll believe in his dreams and tell him if you didn't. So yeah, topup, you're not qualified to tell me how 16 year olds in love feel. |
^^^ When was the first time you fell in love? Bare in mind there's a difference between being in love and being involved in a relationship. People in love plan for the future, people in parasitic relationships want to get what they want as fast as possible. I'm not saying marraige is mentioned explicitly but there's a plan for the future, thus indirect talks about marraige. I know 19 year olds are not old enough but if you're in love with your 19 year old boyfriend who is smart, has good plans for the future and loves you back, stick with him and don't listen to bluespice and ebonysilk, it doesn't necessarily mean you're being naive, it means you're lucky to find what you'll end up needing in the future. |
Ebony-Silk:This arguement is already dead because you already have your unchangeable opinions and I'm not in the mood to change it either. Besides that, I'll try not to derail this thread but my point is if you're with a 19 yr old guy and he never mentions anything about where he sees the relationship in 5 years, you'll feel offended, wrong? The ability to plan for the future is not a bad thing, contrary to what your opinions are, it's a good thing because it shows the guys sophisticated ways of picturing what he wants for himself. Omode to ma je ashamu ati kekere lo ti maa se shamushamu. |
Ebony-Silk:I'm 20 by the way and no, I'm not drunk. 16 is the average age at the final year of high school in Nigeria and at that age, if a girl can't pick wisely, she probably will never learn. Going by your reasoning, 19 year olds shouldn't plan for the future too if they're still in school. The only thing that's probably wrong in this case is that the guy is 3 years older, that's kind of too wide a gap, although if she was 18 and he was 21, it would not matter. I'm not saying the sex part was right but the "planning for the future part" is what I see nothing wrong with. If they think they're ready for sex, why not? When I was 16, I knew what sex was and had sexual urges. Not everyone can control it like you, some people give in to these urges and that's totally human. |
Haha! Some guy launched your girl for you. Shout out to all sloppy second lovers worldwide. But seriously, I'm in the minority here because if I was 19 and my girl friend was 16, we'll probably have plans for the future together. Don't listen to this old people who are jealous of you. Old people, let's face it, things are different nowadays and (surprise surprise) younger people have sex and make plans for the future. It's called love! If I'm with a girl that I really like who likes me too, we'll definitely plan for the future together. What's a relationship if those involved don't plan to make it last? Yeah, they are both young and they have school work but I get better grades when I feel loved. If they are both able to optimize time, the relationship would not affect their studies the wrong way. |
topup:Yeah you haven't helped him, Hot men don't read long replies even when the replies are typed with color cc0066 (whatever that is). You know how to help a Hot man? You should ![]() |
I'll stop doubting if God brings my girl back. |
I'm late but I just have a few words for Mr. Dapo: Learn to use periods and paragraphs. Seriously, my eyes hurt from reading your words, they look like a huge wall of text. Thank you. I also don't think replying people on Nairaland will help your political ambitions. Trust me, I know. Instead of wasting your time replying a bunch of quasi-millitant Nigerians who haven't been in Nigeria for 10-20 years, why don't you appeal to the common Nigerian man who lacks the basic amenities? I'm trying not to judge you, I'm giving you a chance at making a name for yourself. Goodluck in your endeavours bro. |
FLOWSHOW:Eh, I don't have Shina PETALS, that's a very rare breed of flower. But I have Shina Peters and I posted two of his songs earlier in this thread. If you want more, you'll have to buy. |
acidrop:Finally, the girl I've been looking for. Where have thy been, my lovely princess? tRoOE:I don't have any of these songs, although I remember the Tunji Oyelana song well . . .Guguru perere. Do you wanna upload for a brother? |
It doesn't matter where you choose to marry, what matters is what kind of girl you marry. You're just as likely to find a self-obsessed diva in Nigeria as much as you're likely to find them in any parts of the world. Love literarily slaps you in the face, you never see it coming. If you want to marry someone you love, have an open heart and wait till it comes for you. Goodluck man. |
Ebony-Silk:I'm sure she read it already. |
Ebony-Silk:What if your BF likes you like that? |
doyin13:What if the bushmeat in question happens to be a lion and the hunter was a dopemu like tumfulu? |
Edide ke mujo means Get up and Dance, one of the more popular songs by KSA. Upbeat and lots of rhythm, this must have been during the electric drums craze in the erly 90s. King Sunny Ade - E Dide E Mujo http://www.zshare.net/audio/52889411067a5f09/ Another Sunny Ade song, this is kind of early KSA. This is E Su Biribiri or Mi O Mo (Compare it with Mo Ti Mo the one I posted earlier). E Su Biribiri (Mi O Mo) - http://www.zshare.net/audio/528897900c2e45e6/ (compare with http://www.zshare.net/audio/5270469772791421/) |
Oh yeah, I'm curious about your Yoruba name? Your Dad probably comes from the Yoruba side of Benin. |
^^I've been really busy with my finals and that explains why I'm replying late. I'm in New York and yeah, I'm here with my family. I used to be a soulseeker, that was around September but they changed then their server and I uninstalled the program. Once I'm done with my exams, I'll post more and more songs and not just Nigerian songs this time. But for now the Side B Sir Shina Peters - Omo Enia Lo Sora / Jesu Gbadura Mi / Atoto Arere / Irawo Lagba (Ace) / Adebisi Odutayo / Afro-Juju Lo Gbode http://www.zshare.net/audio/528888882a2bfc7e/ |
Hello ugly girls, I have a question for all of you self-confessed ugly ones. How does it feel to wake up in the morning and hate your own reflection in the mirror? |
If I get replies, I'll post the Side B of the Shina Peters joint. |
Yeah, I have some good Sir Shina Peter songs, this right here is his best work. Don't download the any SSP albums on i-tunes. The only Shina Peters album on it is the one he did with Kennis Music a few years back, that album was shite. This is Side A of his 1989 Ace album. These songs are quite vulgar, if you're able understand Yoruba, you'll see what I mean. If you can't I'll do a bit of translation - "" "I see a beutiful girl shaped like the figure 8, the breasts on her chest taste better that an orange. Young lady dance with your chest - digi right digi left oya oya were were kiamosa, oya dance with your chest" Sir Shina Peters - Afro Juju/ Je Kajo/ Ijo Shina/ Moju Kuro/ Oyin momo/ Omoge To Rewa http://www.zshare.net/audio/527051802941e637/ |
Lola-lu:Man, your Dad must have had a huge collection. In what format does he have them - CDs, vinyls, cassettes? It will be cool if he had vinyls because the CDs are crap. Foreign labels break up the songs into tracks and most of these songs are not meant to be broken up. I already started updating the links as you can see, if you want me to translate somethings for you, I'll try. |
Lola-lu:I'm sorry for not replying your post early, I haven't been in this section for a while. Most of the links in this thread are dead already, I will upload all of them tommorow. I will also put up more songs tommorow. My condolensces about your dad. Hopefully you like the songs I'll put up. |
Every time I open a thread on nairaland, it's always a new thread bitching about how Nigerian men do this and how Nigerian men do that. How about you stop having Nigerian men altogether? Get yourself a white man or have lesbian orgies, who cares? My point is, the good Nigerian girls always know where to find the good Nigerian guys, if you're stuck with the bad ones who mistreat you in the name of culture, re-examine yourself. Holla! |

?? How oh how do i access the tracks you've posted? It's funny, i know there is a big market out there for people who are into highlife/juju/afro beat. Lots of compilations have been released this last couple of years!
