The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have delivered a letter dated today inviting the Deputy Senate President Ike Ekweremadu to appear at their office by 10am. The letter was delivered after officials of the Department of State Security Services, (DSS), the Police as well as the Economic Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on Tuesday morning laid siege to his APO residence in Abuja.

The anti-graft agency is inviting the deputy senate president over case of conspiracy, abuse of office and money laundering.

This is coming also after the Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s home was locked down by police officers and his convoy prevented from leaving the premises to attend to the invitation by the Inspector General of Police, Idris K. Ibrahim.

Now that victory is Fayemi's, where are those loud mouthed illiterates doing hate politics on NL, I fear for our youths and the future of the country, PDP failed us and turn this country to barren land, i am in shock to see our youths advocating for corruption to fight back against a sane government trying to fix things and change the mentality of going into public office to steal the nation's treasure, yes there is ethnic cleansing in some part and I pray for those affected yet its not the government fault cause most of the killings are sponsored to undermine and distract the government from pursuing its fight against corruption, 
Thank God its a new dawn in our dear country, let the coming generation learn and know public office is not for stealing but for service and loyalty to our nation, let them grow up to know nobody is untouchable or can go scot free if found guilty of looting and corruption

I'm in a dilemma, let me start like this, when i and my husband first got married we did a joint business that fetched us a huge amount of money, the aim was to build a house, when we got the money, he decided to use his' for his parents (i had no problem with that) then mine for what we wanted to use it for

Two weeks ago we had a major misunderstanding, it was soo intense to the extent that he told me to park out of the house, in the heat of things i told him that cannot be possible that the house is in my name, he was shocked, saying it is impossible we built it together that it's in his name, i had to remind him what happened then, he was furious saying it was wrong of me to use my name, that he cant believe he has been staying in a house that does not belong to him, he told his family what i did claming victim, then he packed out saying he wont come home till i change the name to his full name, i begged him to no avail, i dont even know how to tell my people, imagine if it was in his name, i and the kids would have been out of the house by now, he has requested for transfer from his office to another state cos of this, who does that?? He cant expect me to change it to his name.

Pls i need other advise to go about this, he is a good man but he feels his ego has been bruised, i need other options.

A mega cement warehouse located at the Industrial Layout, Onitsha Road, Owerri, capital of Imo State, to serve corporate outfits and people of the Southeast and other zones in the country, was on Monday, opened for commercial use.



Present at the event were the President, Dangote Group, Aliko Dangote, the Imo State Governor, Rochas Okorocha, among others captains of industry.Declaring the ultra modern warehouse open, Okorocha noted that Dangote had embrazed the business world in many products, praising the richest man in Africa for his outstanding initiatives in empowering Nigerians and other nationals in the area of employment, through the establishment of many industries and foundations.

Okorocha also urged him to partner with the government in establishing a gas plant in the state, and expressed joy that at last, Dangote’s presence was sited and felt in Imo.

Describing the business mogul as a “bridge-builder”, the Imo State Governor, said Dangote is humble, and a believer in one Nigeria without preference to any particular religion.

Okorocha said: “The man Dangote is humble about his wealth. He does not show undue strength with his wealth.“Dangote Cement has sold more cement in Imo State than it has done in any other part of the Country because of the infrastructural revolution going on in the state. Imo State today is a new state. The wealth of Nigeria is in Imo untapped because of the presence of high quality gas in the State. And the gas-plant in the state is yet to function. I appeal that Alhaji Dangote would partner with the state in this regard.”

Speaking earlier, Dangote, who had paid a courtesy visit with his entourage to the Government House, Owerri, disclosed that Imo State was one of the major markets of Dangote Cement and other products of the Dangote Group.

He stressed that he was in the state essentially to open the warehouse for business, and commended Okorocha for facilitating infrastructural development in the state and Nigeria at large, including creating enabling environment for businesses to thrive.

The Federal Government says it will commence disbursement of the recovered 322 million dollars Abacha loot through Conditional Cash Transfers (CCT) to 302,000 poor households in 19 states in July.

Tukur Rumar, of the National Cash Transfer Office (NTCO), disclosed this at a roundtable on assets recovery organised by the Swiss Embassy on Thursday, in Abuja.

The states include: Niger, Kogi, Ekiti, Osun, Oyo, Kwara, Cross River, Bauchi, Gombe, Jigawa, Benue, Taraba, Adamawa, Kano, Katsina, Kaduna, Plateau, Nasarrawa, Anambra and Internally Displaced Persons Camps (IDPs) in Borno.

According to Rumar, the benefiting households will receive N5,000 monthly.

Mr Iorwa Apera, the National Coordinator, National Social Safety Net Coordinating Office (NASSCO), said 503,055 households were already on the NSR register from the 19 states, adding that by July, there would be a social register for all the states of the federation.

“The Federal Government would begin with those states, because they had signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with NASSCO to put in place certain infrastructure to empower the national register.

“Some of the states delayed, but the other ones were quick enough to set up infrastructure that allowed us to start work there, but all the states are now on board as they have set up their state operating offices and donated office equipment to us.

“As states come on board, we enroll and so they extend to the beneficiary register, and presently we are generating data in all the states now,’’ he said.
