For the court to entertain a class action, there must be a 'common interest in the questions of law and facts' which concerns all parties in the class action.

It will be impossible to aggregate all the grievances of the parties, which of course are of varying circumstances and each with its own uniqueness.

Some persons issue with the bank is unsolicited debit card fees while some are unremitted funds. Others have a grouse with random deductions for which there are no credible explanations for. These are three separate issues which cannot fall under one action.

The best thing is to gather everyone with a similar issue and sue the bank jointly. That is the only way a class action in this regard can survive.

Lumping everyone together will only put a nail in the coffin of the suit and leave the bank smiling at the end of the day.

All these our banks in Nigeria sha. That was how 97k disappeared from my account yesterday without alert or ant evidence. I rushed to the bank to lodge a complaint only for the bank officials to tell me that I intiated a transaction of 97500 and they have placed lien on the money till March 28th. I asked them when the transaction was initiated they said last year may 31st. Banks are thieves

I think the new CBN guideline says you're entitled to a compensation of #100,000 if your money isn't refunded from a failed transaction within a particular number of hours.

So, March 28th is too far for you to get your money back. Let me check the guidelines again....
