Akpan107:I like Jimi Agbaje as a person, but the party he belongs - PDP is not a better option to APC. |
jerseyboy:You are lying. PDP is only using propaganda to spread falsehoods. Oshiomhole, though may not be perfect, remains popular among the people and has the unshaken backing of Oba, the Ogbemudias, etc, who are in tune with the giant strides of the APC government in Edo State. |
DDeliverer:What are you saying. No body understands what you are saying, except those who chose to tow the line of your irrational reasoning. |
No body wants to die, but everybody wants to go to heaven |
saintikechi:Hahahahahahahahahhahahahahah! Am only smiling at your comment, not because it makes any sense, but merely because of 'the Monica Lewinski' affair you brought into this serious issue. |
@findingtruth, pls now that you have gotten several conflicting comments on whether your hubby is married or not, can you now bring him on this Forum, to enable him read what his fellow Nigerians have said concerning the rites? I think inviting him here will enable him to tell members of this forum what actually transpired and I believe his denial and explanations to members will give you a reprief of the impending catastrophic heart problem that the purported marriage would have occassioned to you. |
In their efforts, aimed at ensuring a violent free campaign and elections in Nigeria this year, the main contenders for the presidential and parliamentary polls, incumbent President, Goodluck Jonathan of the PDP and his APC counterpart, are meeting Abuja for a parley on how to ensure that the upcoming elections are violence free. Therefore, I use this medium to urge all supporters of both men and the parties to say no to political or electoral violence.

satelliteDISH:So, for doing the right, Oshiomole has become unreasonable? Can you see the way you reason. What we crave for is a Nigeria where the status quo must change, a Nigeria where the elites cannot continue to gain at the expense of the majority masses - getting rich ate the State's expense. Imagine using a government facility without paying for same, whereas you collect fees from the students. On the issue of the Reporter, it is the hallmark of a good journalist to get facts before rushing to air an incident. That serves him right. |
If this story is true, watch out and see if the Comrade Governor will not act by not only reprimanding the said Aid, but the Aid will be sactioned appropriately, so it has nothing to do with Oshiomole. Sorry to the Rev. Father |
Does APC even have such money for their campaign, let alone giving such huge sum to a single man? |
No quarell, as Mama peace puting her hand on OBJ's shoulder |
Somebody should tell our president to stop statements like this: NIGERIANS, hear your president misfiring again in Enugu yesterday: President Jonathan said: "How much did Jim Nwobodo stole? Money not up to the price of a peugeot and Buhari regime send him to jail. Is that good enough?" So, Nwobodo should not be sent to jail for stealing money not upto the price of peugeot, but the poor man that steals a goat should be sent to jail? Abeg, Mr. President should be wiser than this kind of a statement. |
Yet, we are being told of how new Universities are established, instead of retructuring the existing ones for optimal performance. This Government self! Contradicitng itself here and there. |
I think we need more of these prisons, if that's what we make Nigeria a better place. I prefer prisons where corrupt Nigerians will learn than schools that will produce corrupt generation of Nigerians. |
Oshiomole, don't succumb to the politicization of your well intentioned action. If they have a better evidence that the properties in issue belong to UNIBEN or the Federal Government, they should go on Appeal and serve the concerned parties appropriately. By the way, what concerns the students with the school's staff accommodation problem? |
Ikengawo:Is it by force to comment? Electoral Act says 90 days to election, so how did you get your information that it illegal campaignin now? Go and sleep if you don't have a better comment |
Empty seat tins. And it's illegal to be campaigning right now, INEC has a timeline, but I didn't expect APC is be law abiding as it's full of high caliber criminals.[/quot] Is it by force to comment? Electoral Act says 90 days to election, so how did you get your information that it illegal campaignin now? Go and sleep if you don't have a better comment |
Ali must go! |
They are showing the APC rally now Just a flash broadcast. |
This is really unfair to the opposition parties in Nigeria- watching AIT 8pm news now and it has been showing PDP news and campaigns without a mention of APC or any opposition party. Not even the APC rallies in Rivers and Akwa Ibom States were worth mentiong in their first 10 news. This is a bad broadcast journalism on the part of AIT. |
What are they waiting for? Maybe for the one that will give them the fattest money. Igbo politicians self! |
BENIN CITY—THERE was pandemonium, weekend, in Benin City, Edo State, after a middle aged man (name withheld) lost his life following a fight with a lady, who chopped off his private part The incident which occurred around Isihor area of the city shocked the residents, considering the way and manner the heated argument between the lady and the deceased resulted to bloodshed. It was learned that the lady ran her SUV car into the deceased Honda SUV, a development which led to a shouting bout. The deceased, who was said to be in the company of his brother, reportedly slapped the woman several times which led to the fracas. An eyewitness informed Vanguard: “After the slap, the woman went straight to the man’s trousers and bite his private off and spat it on the tarred road to our greatest shock.” Vanguard learned that the man gave up the ghost while he was being rushed to the University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH. Contacted, the Edo State Police Public Relations Officer, Joseph Edoigiawerie, said the command was yet to be briefed on the incident. |
The All Progressives Congress (APC), took politics aside and commiserated with President Goodluck Jonathan on the untimely death of his sister, urging him to take solace in God for the unquantifiable loss. In a statement issued in Port Harcourt on Monday by its National Publicity Secretary, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, the party said the loss of a loved one is always an unfathomable tragedy, which is compounded when such death occurs at an unripe age. ”We pray that God will grant repose to the soul of the departed, comfort the President and his entire family and give them the strength to bear their loss. ”We also wish the immediate family of the deceased God’s succour in their moment of darkness,” it said. President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan yesterday announced the passing away of his beloved younger sister, Mrs. Nancy Jonathan-Olei. A statement by the Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Dr Reuben Abati said Mrs. Jonathan-Olei passed away earlier sunday at a hospital in Yenagoa after a brief illness. Aged 52 years, the statement added that burial arrangements will be announced later by the family. Source: Vanguard |

Please, I need some one with an informed counsel or suggestion to help me out: I live in Abuja, in a one Bedroom Flat, while another tenant occupies the other twin Flat - a one Bedroom Flat. Although we enjoy relatively good power supply - may be 15 hours or more in a day, when our transformer is working optimally, but the bills that come at the end of the month, to my mind is uncalled for. Because we are yet to get a meter, which delay is caused by the power company, the Abuja Electricity Distribution Co, brings an estimated bills of between 10,000 to 11,000 Naira every month, which sees me paying about 5,000 Naira electricity bill per month. This I think is outrageous, considering the fact that what we use is a single phase connection and we are not in a commercial or densely populated area( I live in Dutse, Abuja). We have applied for a prepared meter, but for close to one year now, AEDC, has not deemed it expedient to install any for us, inspite of repeated demands we have made to them. It seems they enjoy bringing these estimated bills to us, just for their own selfish reason. I believe, if the two flats had prepaid meter, we cannot exhaust power units of even 5,000 Naira per month. Please, what do I do, because am tired paying these bloated bills? Thank you. |
This is the same post I posted yesterday, on Monday, which has either been deleted or hidden my Mr. Osewa and his crew, because it did not speak well of President Jonathan. |
tonte:I understand that, maybe that's where the VP bases his optimisim, otherwise, Sambo as a Kaduna politician lacks that clout to win such votes for Jonathan, when even in his immediate constituency, he does not have a standing political structure. |
holatin:if u ask me, na u I go ask, my brother? |
