May I remind you that he is returning as a governor. Election is over, so what eye service can he be doing? For what and to who? Give credibility to him for doing this.
His pre-election talks, instigation, arrogance and intolerance for the opinions and beliefs of others have contributed in no small measure to the situations we presently find ourselves in Kaduna state. After causing the damage, he's now coming out, trying to play to the gallery? Will this solve the problems? It is deeper that flying helicopters ups and downs, deceiving the gullibles. He should solve it from the root, starting from his Government House.

PropertiesCrises As Minister illegally Demolished d gate house of popular mall In Abuja by nickxtra(op): 5:07pm On Apr 11, 2019
It was a sad, rancorous and emotional atmosphere when some so-called officials of the Director of Development Control, Federal Capital Territory , Abuja came in their numbers with heavy duty Trucks and bulldozers and brought down structures and the only access roads at the Area 11 Shopping Mall, bringing untold hardship to shop owners and motorist.

According to eyewitness who were at the scene of the event, they said the development control officers came with armed men after they refused to give them bribe to stop the perpetration and illegal demolition.

According to them, they said even the Mr President, Mohammedu Buhari can't stop them from demolishing a mall where hundreds of shop owners are dependent on.

The demolition of the gate has rendered shop owners and buyers from easy accessibility to the mall while causing serious gridlock around the area.

They call on the president and other international community to come to their aid to stop the anomalies as the building and the access roads are in the original master plan documents which they presented to the press and all those who are concern.

In a letter written to the The Commissioner of Police, Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Abuja dated 5th April, 2019 and titled "Request For Swift Intervention Over The Illegal Demolition Of Gate House And Permanent Closure Of A Government Approved Access Road Located At Area11 Shopping Mall" they demanded for the invitation of the director of Development Control of Federal Capital Territory under Abuja Metropolitan Management Council for fragrant disobedience to the master plan of FCT and violation of the provision of the 1999 constitution of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria (as amended) on freedom of movement of occupants of area 11 shopping mall.

PoliticsConfusion As Electricity Prepaid Meters Contractors Reject NERC Directives by nickxtra(op): 9:44pm On Apr 07, 2019
Momas Electricity Meter Manufacturing Company Ltd. says Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) directives to begin the roll out of new meters by May 1 is not feasible and realistic. Kola Balogun, Chairman of the company, told Newsmen in Lagos on Sunday that rolling out meters by May 1 as directed by the NERC was unachievable, considering other challenges that required attention.

On April 5, NERC issued permits to Meter Asset Providers (MAPs) to roll-out new meters not later than May 1, 2019.

Secondly, consumers have to be informed on the methods of acquiring meters, whether by payment or by investment. “Lastly, every manufacturer ( licensee) that wants to roll out meters needs a grace of three months to enable them have the meters available in their warehouses. “The modality to start rolling out meters has to be put in place viz a viz all the various documentations that are required and the infrastructure that will make deployment a smooth running, ‘’ he said. “If we are licensed this month (April) three months are enough for us to prepare, that is April May and June, while in July we start implementation.

“Except for few numbers of us who have some stock at hand that can roll out but the modality to roll out is also a question. “ Apart from NERC giving licences, we still need processes to be put in place before meters will get to consumers because we need to train the meter installers, they need to be adequately trained on installation in consumers’ premises. “Consumers also need to be educated on payments, there will also be an “EXCO account’’ in the process. These are challenges that require a long period. “While that one is going on, anybody who wants to place an order from manufactures will also be signing a contract agreement for the meters.

“Those who want to import will also be making orders for importations,’’ Balogun explained. The indigenous meter manufacturer said he could not fathom how the NERC came up with such directive, because of the time frame required in the processes. “NERC only engaged few MAPs last week and then we have Mojec and others, including two Discos and we still have about 8-9 Discos which are on the process of licensing. “However, the process needs to be expantiated so that the media will have a clear understanding of the issues and the directive.

He said that according to NERC perspective, meter prices have been benchmarked on what was accepted for consumers to pay. He said that consumer would be paying between N36,000 to N37,000 on single phase meters and between N63,000 and N67,000 on three phase meters, saying that was the position of the regulator. “We have the capacity to roll out massively, when the projects kick start and we also pray for that. “We have sufficient financial support from financial institutions like the CBN and other financial institutions that will support the schemes to have sufficient fund to rollout meters massively.

On April 3, 2018, the NERC introduced the MAP regulation to new investors in the power sector to fast-track the roll-out of meters through the engagement of third-party investors. The Commission issued permits to Meter Asset Providers (MAPs) on April 5 in accordance with section 4(3) of the MAP Regulations 2018, to MAPs that were successful in the procurement conducted by Abuja and Jos Discos. Section 4(3) of the MAP Regulation 2018 require all electricity distribution licensees to engage MAPs that will assist as investors, in closing the metering gap and thus eliminating estimated billing in the Nigerian Electricity Supply Industry (NESI)

TravelRe: Air Peace Orders 30 Brand New E195-E2 Jets In $2.1bn Deal With Embraer by nickxtra(m): 9:28pm On Apr 03, 2019
Anambralstson:
West and Central Africa’s biggest airline, Air Peace today (Wednesday) set a continental record with a firm order for 10 brand new Embraer 195-E2 aircraft. The deal which was unveiled today (Wednesday) during Embraer Business Meeting with the Aviation World in Port Louis, Mauritius, makes Air Peace the first to order the brand of jets in the whole of Africa, thereby becoming the official launch customer of the brand of aircraft in Africa.

The order comprises purchase rights for a further 20 E195-E2 jets. The aircraft is a 124 seater jet in dual class and 146-seater jet in single class configurations respectively. With all purchase rights exercised, the contract has a value of US$2.12 billion based on current list prices. The carrier also set a regional record in September 2018 when it ordered 10 brand new aircraft from Boeing, increasing its fleet size then to about 37 aircraft. With the new order, Air Peace’s fleet size has increased to 67 aircraft. Shortly before the firm order for 10 brand new aircraft from Boeing, Air Peace set a domestic record as the first Nigerian airline to acquire and register the Boeing 777 aircraft in the country.

Three of the four wide-body aircraft it acquired for its long-haul operations to Dubai, Sharjah, Johannesburg, London, Houston, Guangzhou and Mumbai have so far been delivered
Speaking on the latest order in faraway Port Louis, Air Peace Chairman/Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Allen Onyema said: “Embraer’s new E195-E2 presents us with a marvel of economic performance. It’s also great that we will be the first E2 operator on the African continent. We already have the ERJ145s in our fleet, so we understand the high standards of Embraer products.”

The E195-E2 aircraft, he said, would strengthen Air Peace’s drive to deploy the right kinds of aircraft to underserved and unserved domestic and regional routes under its no-city-left-behind project. Onyema thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for creating an enabling environment for the growth of aviation in Nigeria through waving customs duties on commercial aircraft, engines and spares as well as granting value-added tax (VAT) waiver. “Without these noble gestures from my President (Muhammadu Buhari),” he said, “Air Peace would not have been able to achieve this growth. Thank you very much, Mr. President”. For his part, Vice President, Sales Africa, Embraer Commercial Aviation, Mr. Raul Villaron said: “Air Peace embodies the kind of pioneering spirit Embraer loves. The airline was established to bring highly skilled work opportunities to the people of Nigeria, boosting connectivity, and therefore the economy, in the region. Air Peace has delivered on both aims, while at the same time developing a fast-growing successful airline. It’s great to have them on board.”

PoliticsRe: Metering Is Your Responsibility, NERC Fires Back At Discos by nickxtra(m): 7:06pm On Mar 26, 2019
Nevee:
Lol I appreciate your reply, really because I had hitherto contemplated opening a thread where we all could discuss and proffer solutions to problems of the sector. Nonetheless, let me quickly make some corrections. First I blamed the government in my post (both present and past), not only the present.

Some DISCOs in Nigeria inherited over 80 billion naira in debt accumulated by who? And when you assess these debt profiles today, they have been greatly reduced. You may also wish that a major part of the debts are being owed by Government ministries, departments and agencies who believe they shouldn't be paying electricity bills and till this very moment, they have not been paid and you know what? They'd let you know you can never disconnect them. Note that these bills would have been factored into their annual budget and still, they won't pay. So how have the DISCOs run into debt? Go through the NERC website, there is a modeled assumption of the performance of DISCOs over the next 10 years right from privatization that DISCOs would make a loss consistently over 10 years and we are just in the 5th year. May I ask why government itself made such assumptions for DISCOs? Have a look at the investments and tell me you would be willing to run at such loss despite such investments? How can you buy gas to produce electricity at 360 naira per dollar and at the point of selling, government pegs tariff at an assumption at 120 naira per dollar? How please? When some persons are quick to say Ghana enjoys constant power supply, I ask them to have a look at electricity tariffs in Ghana which is about double of Nigeria's before making such comparisons? But you still say DISCOs ran into debt? Lol.

Please which monies did government refund back? It seems you rely too much on the information some of these compromised and politicized media outlets feed you. Even the 100 billion naira intervention fund government promised DISCOs in the privatization contract has not been fulfilled as I type this. Not even one naira. Get your facts right sir.

Maybe companies knowledgeable about the power sector you made reference to ran from such huge rot on the power sector. But then again, how much knowledge did Adenuga had about the Telecoms sector before government gave him an operating license?

If you'd exonerate the present government from problems of the Power sector, why is it finding it had to do that which is right? To come up with practical solutions? Why?

P.S. Don't forget government still has a huge 40% Holdings and control of the DISCOs but when it comes to accepting responsibilities, them go hide face grin
From the bolded as captured in your statement, I can see your intentions for the write-up are propelled by falsehood and psychophancy
