Hello everyone, I captured in October and I plan to go for my passport coming week, I just want to know if there’s any thing I need to know ? And apart from the slip given to me on the day of capturing what else would I need to go along with ? And do I need to go too early? Sorry for so much questions, I did it via the DIY so I just want to be sure. |

Hello everyone, I enrolled for my passport some months ago and captured in October, I did it through the DIY route and I was able to make contact with an immigration officer that day and we exchanged numbers. I called her yesterday and she promised to help me check my production progress, she reached out this morning and said it was currently in Data uploading. I have been trying to call her but I haven’t been able to reach her. I’m just concerned and would like to know if that’s a green flag or I’ll still have to wait for months ? |
kelmicheal:what NIS office please ? |
Hello everyone, does anyone have an idea of what month is currently being produced in Abeokuta NIS office, I captured on October 10th and I’m thinking of going to check if it’s out already. I don’t want to waste the tfare all the way from Lagos |
yvy1:You go online, the NIN portal then you input your application number and ref number, to know if your file was ever touched after capturing or not. |
yvy1:Have you tried tracking your progress? What does it say ? |
molybdenum0012:Just fill anything there, most importantly don’t leave any space vacant. Those guys at NIS are constantly looking for something to extort you through |
kelmicheal:I’m actually DIY, does this make any difference? |
Hello everyone, how soon after capturing should I expect my NIN section to get the green tick? I captured some days back and tried tracking my application and it stills says ready for enrollment, nothing has changed. |
AmazingD:You can correct it by editing your application or on your capturing date, before the officer clicks submit they will ask you to confirm details in their pc, so you can also correct it there. |
Team DIY DIY Let me share my experience at NIS Abeokuta(Oke Mosan) I Captured today after much tossing around. I got to the office at around 7:40 am and met other applicants at the gate, a list was brought out for the rescheduled applicants from the public holiday yesterday and eventually applicants scheduled for today were allowed into the premises around 9:00 am and were taken to the Auditorium then around ten they began calling names of people scheduled to capture today after waiting for almost an hour they finished calling the names and I didn’t hear mine. I went to room 20 and it was then I was told that my file hasn’t been signed and was stuck in an office to cut the long story short after much stress and explaining I finally had my file signed and was interviewed after which I did my capturing at 6:22pm. I spent a whole day in the office But in the end it was worth it because I got to meet other applicants. Fellow DIY and even people who paid officers lol we were all there till late this evening. My advice to anyone who wants to use Abeokuta is don’t relax too much because they can easily forget you, try as much as possible to keep on checking in the office until they answer you and in a way be patient also because they will first attend to the VIP candidates lol but eventually you’ll capture also. for the guarantor form try to make sure everything is done and complete so they don’t have anything to exploit you through. Lastly there’s this woman in room 20, a little light skinned and has body, she was a life saver for me today. I wish everyone good luck especially the DIY |
Hello everyone, I actually have a question that has been on my mind for quite sometime now. I studied agriculture in my undergraduate and I’m currently transitioning into tech(ux designs and programming) I’d really like to know if it’s possible for me to apply for a masters degree or post graduate diploma in France with my new occupational line. Something like computer science or tech related, I really just want to know what my chances are or would I need to start afresh? |
Hello guys, please I’d like to know what it really means to verify ones NIN, I was at the immigration office the other day to open my file before my capturing date and the lady I met at the servicom office asked if I had verified my NIN, I said yes without thinking twice cause I thought it was another means to extort me she was cooking up. Right now I’m a little confused and really just want to know if it won’t later affect me on my capturing date. I’d really appreciate an answer please ?? |
The thread has been really really dry, we need hope o. I haven’t even applied yet but the silence is getting scary. |
