You may be right sir but let us look at it another way. What if the South South prefers to remain in a Nigeria without Igbos in it? If Igbos leave Nigeria, the South South would automatically become the third powerhouse after the North and the West. I think we Southerners should unite to fly the SOUTH NIGERIA flag first.

South Sudan

Happy Independence Day to the people of South Sudan!

South Sudan got its independence from Sudan ten years ago on the 9th of July 2011.

South Sudan was once like South Nigeria. They were oppressed by the Northerners of their former country Sudan.

The major difference between them and South Nigeria is that they fought a civil war for more than twenty years. We hope and pray that the North agrees to restructure Nigeria so that Southerners are not forced to fight a war of survival in the near future.

5. RESTRUCTURING

The 1999 constitution of Nigeria is a military one. We are "federal" in paper but "unitary" in reality. Nigeria will make progress only when we restructure Nigeria.


But if the North refuses to restructure Nigeria, Southerners will fly the flag of freedom.

Dear Southern Governors,

We the South Of Nigeria Youths (SONY) are pleased with the September 1, 2021 deadline set by the Southern Governors Forum for the implementation of the ban on open grazing in Southern Nigeria. The ban was overdue and the deadline more than necessary.

We, however, wonder how such a ban is to be implemented without a security agency to that effect. We, hereby, propose the set up of a Southern Nigeria regionwide vigilante similar to the already existing Amotekun in the Southwest and the EbubeAgu in the Southeast. We recommend a merger of the two outfits under the name Southern Nigeria Security (SNS).

We the South of Nigeria Youths (SONY) in all parts of Southern Nigeria are ready to volunteer for little or no pay to defend our land from killer herdsmen. We will never sit idly and watch them destroy our land and jeopardize the future of our next generation. We desire a peaceful resolution to the lingering killer herdsmen problem. That peaceful resolution entails that they adopt modern practices of animal husbandry by building ranches for their cattle in Northern Nigeria which has massive lands available for such.

We shall not accept any attempt to allocate any land in Southern Nigeria to herdsmen under RUGA, national grazing reserves routes or any other guise. It is totally unacceptable and the consequences could be disastrous for the continued existence of a united Nigeria.

There are 7 lessons to learn from the rise of the leader of the IPOB Nnamdi Kanu in 2015 to his fall in 2021.


1. Never ever play God

Apart from the obvious meaning of this idiom (which Nnamdi Kanu was guilty of in his "supreme" leadership of the IPOB), there is another meaning here. Nnamdi Kanu played with God. His first sin, he tried to tribalize some Nigerian churches as "Yoruba churches". Second sin, he tried to win the love of Igbo traditional worshippers by calling on "Chukwu Okike Abiama". Third sin, he tried to win the support of Israel and Western superpowers by converting to Judaism. God cannot be deceived by His creations. He looks deep into the hearts of men to uncover their lust for power and dominion over their fellow men.


2. Never demonize your master

In his rise to fame, Nnamdi Kanu stepped on the toes and heads of his former superiors in the Biafra struggle. Chief amongst them were Ralph Uwazurike and Emeka Emekesiri. He not only broke away from their leadership but made an extra effort to paint them blacker than charcoal in the eyes of their followers.


3. Never dismiss your allies

At the peak of his fame, Nnamdi Kanu turned deaf ears to his allies in the agitation for Biafra. Names such as Asari Dokubo and his former deputy at IPOB Uche Mefor readily come to mind. A few months before Kanu was abducted, he arbitrarily dissolved the IPOB UK branch.


4. Never underestimate your enemies

In Nnamdi Kanu's eyes, Nigeria was a zoo, President Muhammadu Buhari a puppet from Sudan and the Nigeria Army nothing but [insert Nnamdi Kanu's words here]. He clearly underestimated the Nigerian government.


5. Never bite more than you can chew

Ojukwu, Uwazurike, Nnamdi Kanu and other Biafran agitators have always bitten more than they can chew. They all made the fatal error of drawing the Niger Delta forcefully into their Biafra maps. Little do they know that those minority peoples included in Biafra resent and fear the Igbos more than they fear the Hausa-Fulani. The undeniable fact is that in most cases, it is safer to be oppressed by a distant foe than by a next-door neighbour. If at this very moment, for instance, the Igbos are forced to choose between being colonized by distant Russians or being colonized by next-door Fulani, we all know which colonizer the Igbos would prefer. Thus, the Niger Delta would rather be chewed and spat out by the North than to be chewed and swallowed by the Igbos.


6. Never piss upon peace

As shocking as this may sound, Nnamdi Kanu chose to be more like Mohammed than Jesus. He is more of a Malcolm X than a Martin Luther King. If he ever becomes the president of Biafra, he will be a sit-tight power drunk Robert Mugabe or Muammar Gaddafi not a peace-loving compromising Nelson Mandela or Goodluck Jonathan.


7. Be patient

The struggle for the breakup of any country is more like a marathon than a 100 meters dash. A peaceful USSR-style disintegration of Nigeria could take from as short as 10years to as long as 30years. That has been the case in nearly every country that has been divided in the past. The Biafra agitation was renewed by MASSOB in 2000/2001 and refueled by IPOB in 2014/2015. This year 2021 makes the Biafra struggle more than 20 years old already. That means that Biafra is likely to be independent on or before the next 10 years if it sticks to a peaceful strategy. I am no prophetess but I prophesy that with the rise in alternative energy (and the associated unattractiveness of crude oil), the growing uprising in the North of the lower class against the Fulani dynasty and the deaths of the Buhari, Obasanjo and Gowon nonnegotiable One Nigeria generation, this country Nigeria shall fade away, without war or bloodshed, before 2040.
