Romance › Re: I Am A Feminist!! by NightHound(m): 8:06pm On Nov 02, 2017 |
FTrebirth: what these nameless female nairalanders want is domination, not fairness in the treatment of both sexes. if what they preach is equal rights for men and women then let them replace the term "feminism" with "gender equality"...which is not possible.
humans generally are not equal. the dividing path between the rich and the poor, the fortunate and the unfortunate will continue to wax to create a balance, just like light and darkness. it's nature. technically, every individual is independent because we run our race to success alone. at some point, some will overtake others, some will pick up later and some will tire out; it doesn't matter if you have a dick or a pussy. YOU'RE ON YOUR OWN!
the current M.D. of the company i work with is a woman, and i address her with "ma". yesterday, she asked me come to her office to tag and arrange her files alphabetically. she said i MUST be done in 30 minutes; but i finished up in less than 20..
in my own department, my direct senior is a girl. she gives instructions and i do the job clean...no complaints.
merge these two females up against me in a ring and i'd knock them out in ten seconds, but do i need to flex my masculinity at them because i feel they're "weaker"? mbanu!
i have a dick, you have a pussy...naturally, we're supposed to fvck to satisfy each other. but i'm not going to force you if you prefer your d1ldoz (self-loving) over my dick. i can as well look for a nice female goat to screw or masturbate myself to death. it's my dick...it's your pussy.
so it's quite baffling how these arrogant females disturb our peace with their feminism anthem when it's clear nobody is stopping them from achieving what they want to achieve. we're all given equal opportunities but your individual struggle and focus, with a bit of luck, will determine how far you'll climb the ladder.
so y'all better come out clean and tell us you want to dominate us and stop hiding under this "feminism" bullsh1t.
*edited*
if you want to debate/discuss/argue about injustices against women, go to arab countries where women are forced to look like masquerades or they'd be dealt with, according to the laws of shariah.. 'Feminism' should rather be replaced with 'Humanism' instead of 'Gender Equality.' That one is DoA since we recognize that there are marked differences between the sexes. Humanism, on the other hand, focuses on the one similarity that really matters when discussing fundamental rights. And since the essence of Feminism is to acknowledge the full humanness of women by extending all fundamental human rights (that are available to men) to women as well, humanism just makes the most sense. As you've pointed out, our inequalities as human beings go far beyond gender. There's race, height, weight, complexion, IQ, and all that. But we don't apportion rights to people by considering any of these differences; even when certain physical attributes can have a huge bearing on the persons performance. In the end, what matters is that we are all human beings. And as human beings, we should have human rights. Not men's rights and women's rights. That's really all there is to equal rights and gender equality. I like what you said about letting nature take its course. But the status quo does not do that. Male privilege is like federal character or affirmative action - hugely flawed. It does not allow people achieve based on the merit of their abilities. And do men really need a leg-up in that sense? Male excellence cannot be presumed, it has to be tested and proven just like female capabilities should be. Human beings should be born with equal value to society; they should enjoy opportunities available to them without any unnatural discrimination; and they should establish their ultimate relevance based on their individual abilities. It's not always about sparring in a ring, sometimes, the battles are mental. You imply that feminism has no place in Nigeria. I disagree. People talk about all kinds of flavours of feminism: socialist, radical, liberal, and even (I heard today) depressed feminism. I consider this nonsense. It's an unnecessary multiplication of related dogmas that only ends up creating confusion and stifling the movement. I believe that feminism is organic; it grows out of the soil. It's reactionary just like any other movement that pushes back oppression. If women aren't oppressed, they won't react to oppression (Newton's third law). And the kind of reactions will differ across the globe. Feminism cultured by Nigerian misogyny is different from feminism cultured by Arab, or American misogyny. The manifestos are drawn up accordingly. But at the root of it all is that women want to thrive to their full potential in an environment without unjust influence. And in our own context, unjust influence would include (but is not limited to) things like shaming (or stigmatizing) women for some of their choices even when these choices are perfectly legal; and creating double standards of judgement for moral conduct. These things aren't natural, they're impositions. |

IamiKayJayCee: You know what I had the misfortune of reading two days ago? A fellow nigga was saying something---I mean, he typed something; something really stupid.
This idiot was asserting with confidence that any human of the male gender who supports feminism is a pussyhead, a weakass idiot that DOESN'T DESERVE TO HAVE A DICK.
Then one is left wondering what is so special about having a dick; goats have it, cows have it, dogs have it, lions have it. And they can all fück too! Is dick ALL THERE IS to the existence of some guys? That's their achievement? Then the RAT in the bush has the same bragging right!
I asked the fool if the reason is dick is more special than mine was because he swings it in everyone's face. I wonder why he didn't respond.
These guys are mutherfucking retarrds! Aswear, some people are just shi*. That kind of talk doesn't shake me, I'm secure with who I am. Come and cut it. If after having a cock they still need to subjugate women, then one dick obviously isn't enough for them. People should earn their respect. No one owes anyone anything. |
Romance › Re: I Am A Feminist!! by NightHound(m): 4:14pm On Nov 02, 2017 |
IamiKayJayCee: This is why I don't call myself a "feminist". I just identify as an advocate for gender equality. ABSOLUTE gender equality, yes. People should be judged purely based on their ABILITIES. Gender is IRRELEVANT! Women are not "weaker vessels" that need "protection" as far as I'm concerned. We're equal. Oh, maybe the average man is PHYSICALLY stronger than the average woman. But why should physiology count? I've met fellow men who are PHYSICALLY STRONGER THAN ME. But you can't tell by these guys are superior to me, "by nature". You'll have to be mentally ill.
And what is "nature", by the way? Take a trip to the jungle if you want to see how nature handles things, then come back to human society to appreciate the fact that ALL the ideologies, beliefs, and orientations we live by are all MAN MADE, and none is Holy Writ or natural. They can all be CHALLENGED! They can all be CHANGED!
The word "feminist" just created 8 pages of pointless bickerings and headless discussions that have no precise direction!
Most of the people here were attacking MISANDRISTS and HYPOCRITICAL IDIOTS [who claim to be feminists, but ARE they feminists?], thinking they're attacking feminism. I could come out and call myself NAPOLEON, but would that make me Napoleon?! It would only mean I'm confused and deluded---or even mad. People can claim to be anything. It's their actions that determine WHAT THEY ARE.
I hate misandrists too---as much as I hate misogynists, but equating feminism with misandry is pure cretinism.
NightHound, I see you. Chief!

BiafranBushBoy: Listen bro... Personally I don't care about the feminist issues.
But I am talking about the world we are in!! I don't see it working.
It's just like Nigeria is championing to becoming the world power?
Or... BIAFRA coming to existence!!
I am pro.biaf.ra, but I know it is just a Mirage... Hope you grab? Without resistance, what is to stop it from succeeding? If Nigeria wanted to be the world power today, she would have to face the serious contenders who have an interest in keeping things the way they are. I'm sure those countries would have a long list of cons that would result if things were to change. And so they stay interested in preserving the order. What's the danger in letting women thrive that we have to resist feminism? Is it just a pride thing? Or are we seriously expecting a socio-economic calamity? I'm sorry if it seems like I'm putting you on the spot, bro. I'm not attacking you. I just think it would be valid to try to fully comprehend why people are so paranoid about feminism. |
Romance › Re: I Am A Feminist!! by NightHound(m): 2:00pm On Nov 02, 2017 |
BiafranBushBoy: Obsessed with Feminist? How? I have met CEO's (women) who argue out their point to the core. The say what they want and everyone buys the idea.
I have seen tough stance women and all, and I didn't even know the idea of feminism was invoke.
When there is an issue on ground that needs to be debated, anyone with greater facts wins - regardless of gender.
So the issue now is ... "Who are really Feminist?"
If it is people who are championing for equal rights for both men and women, then it can't work...
Because the world itself isn't even equal.
Just like the Biafra struggle, it will continue to be a Mirage. I love em feminists, but I can't envision that kinda world in the nearest future. What are your worst fears about feminism? What do you think would happen if women and men have equal rights? Can you paint a picture of the evil that would be unleashed? Because I get the paranoia about women becoming 'unmanageable' in the home. Is that all? But relationships work on mutual respect and consensus. Even in relationships between gay men, they seem to be able to figure out who should lead and who should follow, without socially diminishing the status of one partner and giving the other the birth-right to be the head. And men in frat groups or the work place, also manage to sort out the issue of authority. People are a mixture of factors (temperaments, talents, tendencies) and they should be able to decide how best to maximize their collective potential in relationships. it's a mark of intelligence. Personally, I like a girl who challenges me. And when I occasionally defer to her judgment, I don't consider it a sign of weakness. The way I see it is: I'm taking advantage of a valuable asset when I submit to a superior argument. I shouldn't spurn reason just because I'm swinging a cock. Women should challenge men. It would make us all better people in the end |

@OP, You're on point with this, sweetheart. You don't actually have to call yourself a feminist to be a feminist, if you don't want to. Maybe being subtle about labels is even better for the collective struggle. The important thing is that women out there are thinking like you, and that it gets the job done. |

Most times, you don't need to reciprocate with physical abuse , So if your babe points a gun in your face, you will simply raise your hands in surrender and say "And thus, I go!" It leaves question mark over it, yet to understand fully what many feminist i read about actually want. BiafranBushBoy: In few sentences, just help me summarize the mission statement of every Feminist. I had to go run some google search, and trust me... I find nothing tangible about the whole feminist stuff!!
First question should be, "Who is a feminist?'
90% of ya'll would fail the question. Feminists can be male or female. And they stand against the deliberate disenfranchisement of women (by constitution or common law) on account of their gender alone. The hullabaloo about equal rights just calls to the forefront that women want to be equal to men. And that is just a wicked distraction. No two men are equal to each other, and one woman is different from the next; so assuming that any two people are equal in every sense is BS. But, if men and women are both human beings, then human rights = men's rights = women's rights. |

Whatever business you are into, even if it is trading, you should try to give it some structure. See what comes in on the average, and decide what you can afford to pay yourself as a regular salary. Your salary, just like your shop space (if you have one), transport/shipping, form part of the overheads that determine the prices of your products. It will also guard you against overspending, leaving you free to plough back and expand your business. If you don't do this, you would continue to live from hand to mouth, and before you realize it, you would find yourself broke. Women need security; you don't seem like you are there yet. You just need better business management and you will be able to assess your situation better. |
