Nihilist hope your jambody striker Lukaku dey learn from Martial how to score on the big stage
Lukaku messed up badly today.

He literally could have a hattrick. Martinez is mostly to blame for this defeat but Lukaku let his side down badly....

I think that DDG is the real man of the match though. Everton were so poor today that I don't think they would have done anything in extra time. DDG would have probably saved all their pens too

Martinez is a fool though. I don't know why he doesn't play deulofeu more often. That guy is the end best attackers he has.

Penalties favor the kicker overwhelmingly and possibly over 70% of PKs are converted

Its a situation where no defender and you are free to shoot vs the keeper alone who cannot even move from his line
Is there any one on one that doesn't favour the kicker?

The kicker still needs the skills to exploit the favourable odds. I mean just look at Lukaku now. I think he's now missed his last 2 pens.

That could have been a game changer. Just like Ibra's miss against City.

Meanwhile DDG though....as a pure keeper is anyone better?

Will Rashford make first team in City? Better still in your Chelsea, even as they are fumbling... I am coming correct!

And stop this crap about carrying the team on his back!!!
I believe that Rashford could be ahead of Bony. At Chelsea, he could be just behind Costa.

Iheanacho is good, but there's no way he's better than Rashford...at least for now. At best, he's on par...and I don't even believe that.

Dude Rashford has chased Manyoo and England's captain to central midfield. What else do you need from the boy.

The Iheanacho Aguero comparison is just a joke. I know you can't be serious comparing Kelechi to a man with 101 league goals in only 148 league apps. That's the second fastest century in premier league history if you don't know.

Guy. Am not asking who has done better. Neither am I looking at the stats. This has nothing to do with sentiment. Rashford no near Iheanacho level. I can even stick my neck out and say Iheanacho is better than Aguero and Bony... a bolder manager and those two would surely sit out games for Iheanacho!
Iheanacho is ahead of bony on the pecking order, but that's only because bony is so crap. If you stick your neck out and say he is better than Aguero, your head will be cut off faster than Nepa cuts off bill defaulters.

Iheanacho today didn't do much at all. It would have been more difficult to actually miss the goals he scored today sef. He misplaced a lot of passes and ran into cul de sacs too easily.

I don't want to take anything away from him cos I was actually cheering him today, BUT, in terms of focus, Rashford is bearing the main goal scoring burden at the thr biggest club in the UK, and one of the biggest in the world....and doing it admirably well.

Depay can't see shirt because of Rashford. Martial is now peminently on the left because of him. Mata is on the bench because of him. That's roughly around 100 million pounds of talent that he has single-handedly sidelined.

Mehn I shouldn't be defending a manure player na?

Cesc Fabregas claims he “forgot how to play football” and had “no confidence” as Chelsea suffered a horrendous run of results at the start of the season.

The champions, under Jose Mourinho, endured a run of shocking results which left them just above the relegation zone with several of their star players, including Fabregas, struggling to find their form.

One of nine league defeats before the turn of the year was against newly-promoted Bournemouth at Stamford Bridge on December 5 and Fabregas has revealed how he didn’t know what to do with the ball.

“One time after a game, after Bournemouth, I was in bed and I spoke to my wife,” he told Goal during a Q&A at a Puma boot launch. “I forgot how to play football, I have the ball and I don’t know what to do with it.

“It was hard, those two or three months from November, when I had no confidence.”

Fabregas was dropped by Mourinho and also left out by new boss Guss Hiddink in a bid for the former Arsenal man to find his form.

Mourinho was sacked just two months after the Bournemouth reverse and veteran Dutch coach Hiddink was appointed until the end of the season and his arrival as manager coincided with Fabregas returning to the form he showed in their title-winning season.

“Everything has changed in the last few months, I’m playing very well,” added Fabregas.

“Most importantly, it isn’t how you get [knocked] down, it’s how you get back up. I can be better now.”

And the Spain midfielder, whose side still have title-chasing Tottenham and Leicester to play at the Bridge, is hoping Leicester can go on to take the crown.

“I want Leicester to win. What they’re doing is remarkable. It takes real passion and guts,” added the 28-year-old, who has said he has no idea what the plans of new coach Antonio Conte will be.

Chelsea technical director Michael Emenalo says he does not understand the fuss over Tottenham's youth policy.

Emenalo claims only Harry Kane has made an impression at first-team level and says Spurs have bought most of the other youngsters currently challenging for the Premier League title.

He was responding to criticism of Chelsea's academy policy, which comes despite the fact the club have just retained the UEFA Youth League and have won four of the past six FA Youth Cups.

Chelsea play Manchester City in the first leg of this year's final on Friday, and insists young players are given as much of an opportunity at Stamford Bridge as at Spurs.

Emenalo said: "In reality it is just the one key player, Harry Kane. Dele Alli they bought, Eric Dier they bought, Tom Carroll is a fringe player. So with all the hoopla about Tottenham, it's just the one player.

"So we try to remind them it's not just a Chelsea problem. We want them to be patient because [the parents] want it quicker than the boys want it or the boys are ready to take it."

Two players who have stepped up to the Blues first-team this season have been Ruben Loftus-Cheek and Bertrand Traore, while Todd Kane is expected to make the breakthrough next season following a successful loan with NEC Nijmegen.

Emenalo also has high hopes for Andreas Christensen, Tammy Abraham, Jake Clarke-Salter and Fikayo Tomori becoming first-team regulars at Chelsea.

"Christensen will be a superb player," Emenalo said. "I see on a regular basis that Jake Clarke-Salter and Fikayo Tomori are going to be outstanding players.

"They are young and I don't know if they decide to get fat. There's nothing I can do about that. If they continue the way they are, they will make it because they have great talent, there's no doubt about that.

"There is a coordinated effort from everybody to want to make this happen. Not just because it feels good, and it is nice to have a backbone the fans can relate to and support.

"But with the investment we are making and where we think the game is going and the competition that we have, you can't just buy your way out of trouble all the time.

"We have a philosophy in the academy to teach them to play the right way, the way we think a big team should play. And ultimately the only way they can play that gives them a chance to play for our first-team."
I may need to start watching these u-21 games. Bigkesh, where you dey watch the matches?
Car TalkRe: Tell Us About Your First Car Experience. by Nihilist: 8:01am On Apr 22, 2016
My first car was a Toyota Corolla 1988 model ( 1st lady) bright red.

I got it in SS3..it had no Radio and No AC. The sun roof leaked when it rained. The engine often stalled in traffice and the rear wheel arch was rusting through. The windows were manual wind down

When you drove through potholes you could hear the shock absorbers screeching and creaking.

It was a piece of junk, but I still loved it and used it to catch chicks....mainly because none of my mates had a car

Nice submission, but I can't counter it cos I still dey train.

This brilliant analysis explains exactly what it is that Iniesta does:
http://www.haugstadfootball.net/2013/04/21/barca-tactics-how-iniesta-creates-space/

It even makes reference to Frank Lampard and the how they differ in the way they create space

https://tompaynefootball./2014/09/23/analysis-of-guardiolas-barcelona-part-1/

Here's another resource.

Both are extremely detailed with pictures, formations, diagrams, gifs and chart that break down each aspect of of Barcelona's midfield play by player - Busquets, Xavi and then Iniesta.

If you read this with genuine intentions, there is absolutely no way you will have doubts about Iniesta's position.

I have several videos and articles on Barca's play bookmarked on my laptop at home. Maybe when I get home I will post them

Set pieces obscure the main reason for checking stats.

An example is the Gerrard example I gave. He scored 13 goals in a season More than Van persie and Benteke did that season. Looking at the stats on goal scored you would say Gerrard was a better goal scorer than the two without checking the way the goals were scored

Same with Chilavert and Rogerio Ceni who made tonnes of goals from set pieces

At a time Fernando Hierro was Spain top scorer as a central defender because he was good from Set pieces

Yesterday Mark Noble scored 2 goals from penalties

the purpose of goal stats is to know which player is the sharpest in front of goal and in those cases the penalties have misrepresented the facts because its not a usual /regular play

Its like using wealth stats(goals) to measure hardwork(sharpness) and we shouldnt discount people who won the lottery or get inheritance(penalties)
I'm on my phone now and hustling for my train home so I can't really go into this argument right now.

I do think that the whole iniesta situation is already done and dusted.

I think we already established that Iniesta was constantly finishing higher in the Balon D'or nominations than several other midfielders with superior numbers.

So I'm not sure why our esteemed first class double degree holder, and Nobel laureate wants to go back to delving into numbers....when the top football authorities in Europe have proven that numbers are largely irrelevant when it comes to midfield play.

I believe that truly intelligent people would instead focus on what truly constitutes excellence in midfield and why the likes of Ozil, Gerrard and Favreau have never been able to match Iniesta in the Balon Dor rankings...

Raumdeuter you can't remove set pieces from stats.

Nobody cares if Iniesta or Scholes aren't good enough to take set pieces.

On a different note, I read somewhere that Ozil has created like 300+ clear cut chances since joining Arsenal and only around 30 have been converted.

I'm responsible for what I type, not what you comprehend. Get lost.

I am having a key debate with Raumdeuter on the role of the wide-forwards in the 4-3-3 and why Insigne/Pedro should be classed differently from Anelka and Kuyt.

We have already excluded the effect of 4-2-3-1 by removing Muller, Ozil, DeBruyne and co from this debate and focusing solely on Lampard, Gerrard, Matuidi and Hamsik, plus Toure (on occassion).

So I don't know why a dimwitted punk is bleating nonsense from the sideline about the 4-2-3-1. It is inconsequential to this debate and has been from the start.
Look at this intellectual philistine trying to run. cheesy

Where did you move forward to.

You were asked a simple question about City and Liverpool

raumdeuter:
The question is as clear as day.
You took the pain to list out PSG and Napoli which no one asked but couldnt use that same time to list out the 3 strikers for City and Liverpool
Could it be that you were lying and know you are about to get caught?
So another try: Name the 3 strikers for Liverpool(The team that wears red in Merseyside currently coached by Klopp) and City (the team in Manchester that wears blue and currently coached by pellegrini)
I am taking this pain so you wont regale me with the players from PSG in France and Napoli in Italy
So who is the 'WE' here?

Dayo is the one that is trying to negotiate a soft landing for you. I won't.

I will continue to show you up to be the load mouthed dimwit that you are.

The only reason 4-3-3 entered this discussion is because you tried to claim that Gerrard was the attacking midfielder in a 4-3-3 under Bentez so that you can use that as excuse to Bash iniesta.

Nobdy was discussing wide forwards here. From a discussion on Scholes and Barry, you tried to sneak in Insigne and Babbel?

You absolute clown and joke of a man. cheesy

I just can't be arsed to start digging up old posts, but this is a guy that is well known for his opinion that 10s are not needed, and the running in 4-3-3 is different.

All of a sudden, the difference between 433 and 4231 is a 'minor nuance'

All of this just to discount iniesta. I'mnot surprised that the ediot would make more U-Turns than Berger Under Bridge. Same person that was caught calling Iniesta the best midfielder in the world.

I don't want to get distracted from a key debate I'm having with Raumdeuter which is to define the boundaries of the wing-forwards in a 4-3-3.

I don't want to get distracted by minor nuances between a 4-3-3 and a 4-2-3-1 (Lampard for Oscar). It is inconsequential to this debate so I don't know why you are screaming like a pig on the sideline in a childish manner.

I want Raumdeuter to tell us why he considers Pedro and Isaac Cuenca to be strikers whilst Dirk Kuyt, Albert Riera, Babel, Anelka and Kalou are pure wingers.
Oh please....There is no 'Minor Nuance' between 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 otherwise you would not have been calling for a return to 4-3-3 for ages. You would not have been shouting about the 'Pivot' for ages. You are fool, bufoon, and a hypocrite. I've been going easy on you this afternoon because I was enjoying watching you tie yourself in knots of logic.

Just look at the crap you've come up with today -

Scholes was the defensive half of the Keane/Scholes Duo.
Scholes has always played as a deep lying playmaker.

Now Manutd, Liverpool, and even Man City play a 4-3-3.

All simply to try and paint Iniesta as an AM rather than a CM.

If you had any sense of shame, you would switch off your laptop, find a dark corner in your house, and stand in it facing the wall for the rest of the day.
