rutchiekens: I went to Uni to get the Paper and to also get schooled. I always like computers but I hate physics, chemistry e.t.c so I told myself to get the certificate in a financial field(cos I would be able work anywhere) then educate myself on computers.

Its easier to be self employed as a programmer than in any other job. Its one of the best decisions I've made.

I feel like I'm God. Programming brings your ideas to life just like God brought his to life so I'm God-like as a programmer.

rutchiekens: Stop commenting rubbish... In foreign schools, they teach every comp. Sci. students the main programming languages even in Ghana.

A comp. Sci. students must know the basics of all aspects of computer before entering the real world.

But in naija universities they don't teach them how to code... They teach them fortran, basic. But they don't teach them the important ones.

Comp. Sci. students mostly do courses that involve calculations through out their 4 years.

System Administration on the surface level doesn't involve coding, but to be ahead of the game and to rise above your peers, you have to be able to do stuff like writing a munin plugin. How will you do that if you can't script in perl etc?
