great news bro, but why do you christians always make it appear like your god decided tp keep you but kill other people, couldn't he have saved everyone or do they worship a different god.

Religion / Re: What Does The Devil Look Like? by ninety5: 10:12pm On Mar 05, 2023
Jokanem:
What Does the Devil Look Like?

The Devil is an invisible spirit person, which means that he does not have a physical appearance.—Ephesians 6:11, 12.

How does the Bible describe the Devil?

The Bible uses a number of analogies regarding the Devil. These help us to understand, not his appearance, but his personality. Some of these analogies include:

An angel of light. He pretends to offer something good to try to get people to follow his teachings rather than those of God.—2 Corinthians 11:14.

A roaring lion. He fiercely attacks God’s worshippers.—1 Peter 5:8.

A great dragon. He is frightful, powerful, and destructive.—Revelation 12:9.

Bible verses about the Devil
2 Corinthians 11:14: “Satan himself keeps disguising himself as an angel of light.”

Meaning: Satan pretends to be good in order to fool people into following his teachings rather than those of God.

Ephesians 6:11: “Put on the complete suit of armor from God so that you may be able to stand firm against the crafty acts of the Devil.”

Meaning: The Devil schemes to get people to disobey God.

James 4:7: “Subject yourselves to God; but oppose the Devil, and he will flee from you.”

Meaning: A person can defeat Satan by obeying God rather than the Devil.

1 Peter 5:8: “Your adversary, the Devil, walks about like a roaring lion, seeking to devour someone.”

Meaning: The Devil hates those who obey God and wants to destroy their friendship with Him.
He looks like jesus wrapped in white.
Politics / Re: 13.1 Million People Voted Against APC And Tinubu by ninety5: 7:33am On Mar 01, 2023
Kobonaire4:
Here is a thought. 13.1 million people did not vote for APC, out of the 21 m who did vote.

If those 13.1 million people had voted for one party, APC would have been voted out. But because they voted for 3 different parties, the votes got divided, and APC won the election.

The truth is, APC lost this election. Most Nigerians did not vote for them, nor do they like them. But they won because Atiku and Peter Obi and Kwankwaso and Wike could not at the very least compromise with each other.

That is the sad cold truth. A disunited opposition loses the election.

Like I said, APC did not win this election, the opposition lost it.

tbfh, I don't understand a thing you said.

APC didn't win because others shared the votes that one of them would have got or APC did not win because the election was rigged.

If you really meant the first one, then APC won, I don't understand why you are trying to twist everything, maybe you are just too scared to admit the election was rigged.

Dear Emefiele and Buhari, it’s time to cancel the deadline. We’ve had enough of this nonsense. Stop it immediately and let Nigerians go back to living their lives. Enough of using the masses to fight your silly political fights. Stop now!

lol, you still looked for a way to drag Buhari and Emefiele into Zenith bank's personal problems. Did you even read the post?

Religion / Re: Legality Of Atheism In Nigeria by ninety5: 9:13pm On Oct 24, 2022
Being an atheist is not a crime in Nigeria.
The Nigerian constitution allows anyone the freedom of thought, speech, conscience and religion.
So you could choose to believe or practice a religion or not.
Some states though, especially in the north (sharia states), have laws against blasphemy. Even Lagos criminalizes blasphemy.

As someone said earlier though, people do take laws into their hands (which is also a crime) and do terrible things against others in the name of religion but go scot-free.

aisha1314:
Recently converted from Christianity to being an atheist though I haven't told anyone yet. When I resume university hopefully in a matter of weeks now that ASUU strike will soon be over, I may leave a note somewhere for my mom to find about my conversion.
I feel religion is just too controlling and restrictive for me. Besides I can't even remember the last time I prayed or read the Bible so I just thought, what's the point of calling myself a Christian when I have clearly lost all my faith in God?

Glad you made a choice you think is best for you. For me, it wasn't a sudden move though, I was, first, a deist, even though I have never been a devoted Christian. And I was a deist cause I thought god cared less about us, but along the line, I started learning about the origin of religion and society, only then did I start believing that god does not actually exist and my disbelief in god was not based on emotion rather than logic. Also then did I learn to have meaningful conversations with informed religious people (that is those I perceived as smart and willing to have a meaningful convo). If a friend has an occasion in the church and I am invited, I would gladly go to support them because to me, it did not mean shit. Another reason I don't even tell people I am an atheist, it does not mean shit to me. You might need to think it through if this is the right time to make it known to anyone who might perceive it differently.

Could you tell me why you converted?

Lol, I think, like apes, I shouldn't even think about getting a room, could just bend the lady over in any public place and hit her with my 2x2.

Bro chill, you could live your life and I live mine and we are all good at the end of the day. Not conforming doesn't mean you shouldn't or I might make you not to. We are mosdef living here one day, do your things and be happy, as long as you don't try to make others hate themselves. V

Yeah bro, I am dead stoked on getting a partner who virtually acts and think like me, mosdef gonna die single, lol.

Glad for the job, working towards having one like that too.

You can as well 4get abt marriage & spare urself some stress. Marriage is a very old institution,it's not for the modern world!

Lol, or better still I could just stop putting on clothes since it is a social construct rather than a basic need to survive.

You've technically just described me 95% [excluding the vulgarities sha] - still I have one of the most amazing partner (we ain't married yet tho).

Irrespective of your personality type... Being real will always attract someone who will understand you.... Also, be respectful about your stance on such things as faith/belief. My lady knows I have a kind of religion in me.. But not as she'll want me to.... However she sees how I treat her and other people.. So religion is hardly a discussion.

I can tell you where you'll not meet the kind of people you want....
Your kind of partner is not in the club/bar/camera-freak-thusiast

They could be at conferences/seminars/online spaces where intellect dwarfs b00ty....

Lol, pardon my vulgarity. Glad for you bro, you found someone who shares some of your principles.
Thanks for the insight too.
