And this is e hailing experience right? grin

Well done jare
Don't worry you won't understand.
I check the underside to see that my sandblasters and mud guards are still intact. There was one of those Tuesdays I checked and I found out that I had dipped half the radiator in mud; probably in a flood. The mud had caked on the radiator. I was able to stop work immediately and remedy the situation appropriately.

myquestion:
Na wa ooo,
No request.(ikeja GRA)
Drivers everywhere
Go to international airport. Invest #400 parking fee and go to the parking lot on several floors (not the one where airport staff and airport cabu use)

You will get a request there, usually long trip. This is Monday morning, international flights are coming in

Learn your lesson: nothing is guaranteed in life. You expected too much of your rider. Reciprocity of respect my bumbum. An average rider on the street of lagos believes he/she has employed you with the tap of the "request button" moment you show up. Move on

Even with all your "experience" you couldn't recognise this kind of rider from afar. We learn daily. Next time don't give unnecessary gesture to riders no matter how courteous they appear.

It's still makes more sense than ever. You coulda typed all your lullaby together. Whether you decided to drive from yaba to anywhere for free before stating the trip changes nothing. Nothing stops you from starting your trip as you make the move from pick up location. These doesn't make your rider obligated to forgo his change or tip you.

The irony is you got 47.50 instead. You could have gone for a must have, maybe bottle water or gum. If none of these are available, you sef free the 100 no matter what. It won't kee you

Better luck next. Cheers
Maybe I should break it down for you, since you seem not to be getting it. The principle involved here is "reciprocity of respect/courtesy"
I'm sure if you treat someone with respect/courtesy, you wouldn't expect the person to treat you with disdain 45 minutes after?
You get it now?

On a typical rainy day, most newbies (and even some old hands) will either run partner's car through flood and hence damage it or park for the day and call partner that he couldn't work for that day because of the rains.
Me, if it rains, I'm on the road ni. I know my routes inside of Lekki Wella. I know the roads that flood, I know the ones that recede minutes after flooding. I know alternate routes I can pass to a pickup or drop-off location. If you tell me your destination, I know immediately if pickup or drop-off is tenable or not

It's called experience

Bros as long as you can drive, download your app, go online and wait for request. If no request for a while change location. There's a reason they don't have a course for e-hailing in schools, because u don't need experience to make money, u only need experience to boost your earnings. Thank you

you point one finger to the He-goat while 4 are looking at you.

You could have forgone the 100 naira as well. These things even out eventually, some riders will leave u their balance and some won't. So na 47.50 u get eventually. shocked

Nobody wakes up in the morning and decides to venture into a business he know entirely nothing about.

For someone to come up and say he wants to drive on the platform, he has already gotten some form of crash course b4 arriving at that decision. So bro, all newbie driver has gotten the experience U have just outlined.
Why won't Gazzuzz or Carshopper or Dru23 give a Danfo driver ready to drop assurance a car to drive? Him no Sabi drive? Him no know Lagos road?

Seems car owners here don't understand what I've been driving at as per experience, so I will break it down for us all

Like Dru23 will say through his many memes, you can learn from your own experience or other people's experience. When a new car owner or new driver comes on this forum, we tell him or her "go read up from page 1 to the last page, you will get everything you need to know about this e-hailing business". What is that? Are those not other people's experiences this newbie owner or driver is leveraging on?
OK, when you sign up a new driver and you brief him - do this like this, do that like that; don't go out by this time, be in this area during working hours, don't work beyond 10pm ... pray, tell me, is that not experience you are passing across to this newbie driver? Abi him go come invent wheel once again? Shey una dey give una cars out without briefing the driver how the ehailing business dey go?

No need to even talk again. Give your cars to newbies nau

Na me talk am grin

It's all about the context of discuss.

We were not talking about driving experience, but prior experience driving on uber in relation to making money.

And I still maintain my earlier stance on the matter.

For me, if I were to partner with a driver for e hailing, my basic criteria would be

Pass driving test
Pass Google Map test
Pass common sense test
Pass Background and guarantor check
Can pay weekly rental upfront or assurance deposit grin

With these, I would easily drop my car without requiring prior experience driving on uber or taxify.
I still maintain e-hailing experience is important

Or you could have given him the 200 bucks. What if bad network wrongly calculated trip as 3,300. Would you have known?
You miss the point. He felt I wanted to chop his #100 when I told him I had no change.
Meanwhile, this was someone I waited for at pickup location for about 15 minutes, while he was chatting with and hugging his girlfriend at her hair salon, I also dropped off his friend at Dominoes area Yaba; before we commenced the trip.

And by the way, I provided the service. I'm not supposed to be the one tipping him. It should be the other way round

One he-goat just made me transfer #100 to his account.
Trip fare from fola agoro to Lekky County was #3400. He gave me #3500 and asked for #100 change. I told him I didn't have #100; but I have #200, so does he have #100 let me give him the #200. He said no.

I had to transfer #100 to him from my account, at the cost of #52.50.

Pls any one with info on where to park and wait for request around ikoyi, obalande, ikeja, without scared of been towed by lasma , I av been a victim too many times, I am a newbie with uber all those lasma just dey use me chop.
Ikoyi - drive off Gerard road into any side street or drive into dolphin estate phase 1 or park view estate; Obalende - drive to keffi street, around the prisons and look for a side street off keffi to park; Ikeja is easy, just drive to the nerdc road (in front of shrine) and move forward a bit and park (don't give the boys there money ooo) or alhaja kofoworola street ( the street Lagoon hospital is), turn the corner on the street and park; or to Emina crescent, off Toyin Street.
Hope this helps

I'm just about to hit the roads (for some fun) for the next 3 hours. My hot corolla is just leaving vulcanizer's shop. Bought two tokunbo tyres today, did tyre rotation (I do it every 5000 miles). Will check out how the car handles, then do alignment and balancing tomorrow.

Mechanic will take a good diagnostic look at the car next week Tuesday;
Panel beater and painter have also been notified, come next Tuesday, they will take care of all scratches on the bumpers and fenders; after that, then off to the car wash for a thorough fabric wash and then general wash.

Baby will be as good as new again.
Those of us that know, know. Assurance is overrated!

how far guys. Pls o I'm using an android phone with OS 5.0 (infinix note 2). I started taxify in abuja today... I took two night trips... one from wuye to lugbe and the other, lugbe to gwarinpa. And I was charged 800 for each one.
I'm wondering If that is the correct price, or if my phone is giving me wrong pricing because of a lower OS.. cos taxify says OS 6.0.. and that a lower OS can affect the pricing.
pls someone with experience in abuja route should guide me.
Tnx
