Corporate2020: Old wine in a new bottle.
Not so. It's old wine in an old bottle with a new label.
Nonsensical nonsense.
Give the Oil to the owners. Simple. Thieves.
TY Danjuma, Modupe Alakija, Mohammed Ndimi, Bola Tinubu, Aliko Dangote, Danatat and Sao, Adenuga, Femi Ote$, Atiku Abubakar, IBB, Abdulsalam Abubakaar, Authur Eze, Emekar Offor and other non-ND should never ever own Oil wells in Niger Delta. They should not raking in billions of dollars from ND Oil without doing any work while ND girls and boys are working for these Oil looters as house boys and house girls.
Do Northern farmers, Yoruba farmers, Middle Belt farmers and Igbo farmers all harvest their crops and give the harvest to Niger Delta? Or do Fulani herdsmen walk their Cows from the North to the South to give them to Niger Deltans for FREE? That is generational looting. All the people that are involved in this will not die well. You guys never cease to amaze with your simplistic level of thinking. If all the so called "oil wells" were owned by Niger delta people will it change the situation of hunger, misery, illiteracy, militancy and ignorance amongst the Niger delta masses??. Oh! ...I remember, the NDDC, 13% derivation, Exploration royalties and the bulk of Federal Allocation running to Trillions for donkey years which has been received by Niger Delta Politicians has turned the place to Dubai & made the locals there overnight millionaires. Most of those "Non Niger deltans" you mentioned have divested and sold off stakes as owners of "oil wells" but you are here ignorantly disgracng yourself. When will yr mumu do na Simpleton oshi! |

Tzar: This is absolute rubbish written to defend Obi. On tax evasion, I agree that there is nothing wrong in investing in countries that permit you to pay little or no tax. But on Obi's lack of transparency in NOT declaring his investments in such countries outside Nigeria (while attempting to serve / while serving in public office), he is absolutely wrong! If Obi did not have anything to hide & he truly wanted to serve the people transparently, why will he keep such secrets? I will continue to say it, Nigerians are the most evil set of human beings God created, they always find justification for EVERY WRONGDOING humans are capable of doing. Best comment in the thread |

Car Talk › Re: Maintenance Tips For Honda Cars by nitt: 11:46pm On Oct 05, 2021*. Modified: 12:12am On Oct 06, 2021 |
nas00: Hello Sir.
Sorry to 'crash' your party, but I am alarmed by your all or none stance.
Be it Toyota or Honda, I believe the key issues that determine how any car ages are:
1) The general health/ condition of the car when bought. 2) The driving and maintenance habits of the user.
I say this from experience. Not just from a gut feeling or by watching people I don't really know from a distance.
I have used my 2003 Accord as a daily driver for ten years (In the tenth year now). Driven it to every state in South-West, most of the Eastern States and South-south. Driven in stop and go city traffic and all manner of roads.
Believe you me, I have never had my ball joints 'pull' on me. I replaced them (using OEM) for the first time about 2 years ago when I started hearing knocking sounds from one of them. Never again till date.
Only a couple of months ago did my original transmission fail, after over 171,000 on the odometer. I immediately got a replacement shipped from Luvinghubby and fixed within a week. Going again like new till date.
My leather upholstery and ivory dashboard still look pristine. Anytime I go to the car wash, the nearby tokubo car seller would approach me to ask me to let him know whenever I want to sell the car. I asked him why once, he told me it is so neatly used that he would resell it as a tokunbo.
Now, when I wanted to buy this Accord, a friend who wanted to buy a car at the same time vehemently tried to dissuade me, just as you are doing now. He said the leg would 'pull' and told me how Toyota was more durable and all. He bought his Toyota Corolla, I bought my EOD. He was the one who incidentally kept having issues with his corolla (although after using it trouble free for at least 5 years. Meanwhile, I used my Accord trouble free for 8 years before changing ball joint. All I did was routine maintenance). He eventually sold his corolla and bought a Camry (Muscle). That Muscle is less than three years now but my Accord looks cleaner, healthier and performs comparably even today. In fact, my air conditioner works far more efficiently than his camry, regardless of the age of my car. I have a few other friends who have used and sold Toyotas (corollas and camrys) are in their second or third cars now. They all say my Accord doesn't seem to be aging at all and have learnt to respect Honda with time. One of them even bought a Honda for his parents (He brought the car to me for inspection before paying). In fact, I am like their 'mechanic' who helps them diagnose their car problems and fix.
In summary, I do not subscribe to the blanket relegation of Honda as worse than Toyota. Several other factors are involved.
As it's been said already, one major downside for Toyotas is that their parts are more expensive than Hondas.
In terms of performance, how can you compare the 128hp common corolla to the 161hp 4cyl 2003 - 2007 Accord? ... Only the Muscle camry compares in horsepower and stability at very high speeds (170km/h and above). Not even the 2003-2006 camrys.
Let each man buy what they like. The main thing is to buy a healthy car and keep up with maintenance, using recommended parts.
I come in peace
Cheers! Lovely read. To buttress your point regarding the power of this EOD engine is one of the reasons y I just love the model. That engine makes you fall in love with the car over and over again especially when I made one 2010 Corolla eat dust on the Kaduna - Zaria highway a short while back. When he eventually caught up at a diversion, he just they look me in a vexed & confused manner. |
